He got it together towards the end when we were scrapping. His touch is far too heavy though and he seems to need a lot of time to do anything. I’m hoping a summer off will do him good because physically he looks in pieces.

He didn't do really do much wrong but felt he was a little bit anonymous at points. Expecting a lot more, hopefully he's still just settling in.

Works like a fecking dog I'll give him that.

Some passes in the first half were excellent and as good as anything you'll see from this side.

Suffered in the second half along with a lot of our attackers but he still worked his tail off.

I think it was a good game from him. He is getting there. If we finish sevilla, i believe he will be very important in champions league.

He worked hard for the team but he still gives the ball away too much.

Picked up in the last 15 and started to keep the ball a bit better.

Still nowhere near what he should be able to produce but there was something about him today that I haven't seen yet. Especially in the second half actually when the going was tough and he was shifted out to the wing. All that twisting and turning may not have led to another breakaway goal what with so little support up front, but he did manage to provide an outlet to relieve the pressure again and again.

Incredibly strong shielding a first touch for such a little guy. He was easily taking down high balls with big guys like Lovren and Can behind him trying to push him off.

As long as he puts the kind of effort he did today, it doesn't matter that he's a bit off form.

Has he maybe lost a bit of speed? He seems to get caught a lot, even if he gets fouled or breaks free.

I can imagine at his peak the opposition couldn’t get near him, which is maybe the difference. Perhaps he’s not 100%.

Thought he was very poor. Trying but just not clicking for him. Thought Jose was generous in leaving him on the pitch, should have been pulled before Rash.

Thought he was class in the first half and did his role perfectly. Second half started off poorly as the 10 and looked really tired actually, but then probably got a second wind and did well again when he went on the wing. So bad 15 minute spell, very good otherwise. Think he generally plays a lot better with Rashford there instead of Martial, and it could well be that Pogba and him get in the way of each other a bit. If they can learn to play together well (and pogba actually gets his shit together) then we'll be very good.

I thought he was generally poor for the first 65 minutes but much better for the last 31.
Thought he did really well in the first half and was key with his pressing. Second half only the first 20 minutes or so he struggled badly but then improved again. Overall a good 7/10 IMO. Should've had that assist with Mata's overhead kick.

Not at his best but a decent performance. Worked really hard and played some great passes. Lost the ball quite easily at times, but was able to shield and keep it quite well at others.

He’ll get there soon.

Great spirit. But he needs to produce goals and assists. I will leave him alone this season because he is in a new squad and new system.
But next year he must be sanchez from arsenal.

Very poor? Wow. He was actually quite good given the circumstances.

Think so too. He's draws countless fouls and in the CL we generally have more space that suits him.

Generally much better 2nd half and looked massively improved on the left, held the ball well and set us up well for counters.

Having him in that role, with a winger like Rashford wide, and normal double pivot behind him gives him his space to show his class. It's still early days from him so he'll improve but was very good in the first half when we were counter attacking. Second half went more in contain mode, which is fine as we had a 2-0 lead.
Maybe you are right, I was watching a stream so might have missed a lot.
First half was played perfectly from everyone IMO. Only thing was Rashford getting a pointless yellow and Mata not finishing the overhead kick, but it was as close to a perfect half as we could get from everyone on the pitch. He pressed brilliantly, created the Mata chance, and did really well with his own hold up and link up play.

Played well. He did not have anyone to help him out, only Lukaku. Our players were very reluctant to venture out of our half, and when we had the ball, Sanchez was getting double and triple teamed.

Still finding this feet here.

You can see what he brings to the table. First half he was more creative, we as a team were and offered him more opportunities. That scooped pass/cross to Mata was brilliant.

In the second half it was all about the fight. No sulking or moaning, just done the job.

He is still inconsistent and gives the ball away too often too cheaply. If he improves there and has a better connection with the team, he will be huge

Shaken, and very stirred......
He's going to be a great player for us, works hard, skilful, a fighter. It'll take him this season to get used to the change of team. Fully expect him to be a monster next season.

Such a hard worker for the team and should have got a assist atleast. He's going to be great for us going ahead!

Hope he improves next season. Gave away far too many balls and was weak in some tackles. Fingers crossed it works out for him in the end.

He absolutely needs to at some point and I am sure it will arrive. But for the time being he looks only a decent squad player for us a la Mata.

Better second half and works very hard. Needs more time with the team though. He can be crucial in the CL.

I'll say he's improved our counterattack greatly.
He can turn on a dime which gets us up the pitch very quickly.

Heavy is the head that wears the crown. You can't say Alexis isn't making an effort. He's trying far too hard though. Not much coming off for him in an attacking sense. Improved a lot when we went backs to the wall and he knew his role wasn't to try and win the game on his own.

Needs to step up. Has been poor since he joined. Gives the ball away so much and feels like he’s not sharp, almost like he’s lost a yard of pace.

Mourinho said yesterday we're not getting the best of him yet. Nothing to do except to give him a pass this season.

Worked hard, but still giving it away too much.

I would like to see him in the 10 position more, though.

With Mata coming in, and Rashford keeping the width, it allows Sanchez to play closer to Rom.

Still needs to get used to it, but I'm hoping we experiment with that front four more.

He is actually quite similar to Rooney (the bad one), in the way he works hard for the team, but offer nothing much.
