He probably doesn't deserve it, but I gave him an 8/10. That goal was pure filth. 3 goals in 3 consecutive games, isn't it?

Yep. We've needed him to step up with no Rashford and he's starting to deliver, great to see.

Excellent goal today, truly genius. His all around play was much crisper today than it has been in the last few months, he's hitting a nice bit of form again.

Usually he would have a bad game and come off without adding anything. It's a good trait for a striker to score even when having a not so good performance

Greenwood's goal from a more narrow area is why I want Rashford and Greenwood playing in a more narrow way rather playing so wide whilst Martial plays as a false 9 dropping deep.

Greenwood struggled to get in to the game playing too wide until ending up narrow & now that Martial is starting to score goals when he is struggling is a good sign that he can be even better when Rashford gets back.

Hopefully Ole doesn't use Greenwood out too wide - only to receive the ball on the counter.

United don't need workhorses everywhere. Should he have been on the end of greenwoods square pass across goal? Of course he should have, that was just lazy of him. But bar pogba nobody in our squad is scoring that goal he scored. It was outrageous. Stuff that we'd see Berba and Rooney do in their prime. He can definitely improve but he is sort of a nonchalant magician. As long as he can conjure up a goal out of nothing, I have no problems seeing his name in the starting XI.

He also visibly enjoys playing with Bruno. Lovely to see.

Put him in attacking team and he will finish season with 30 goals.
Imo, excellent modern striker

Did well again today, another fantastic goal.
Is that his tenth in the league this season? Considering he missed a good few matches it’s respectable return.

He has a few friends around here now. Doing the best he can at the moment I think, but he’ll go up another level alongside Rashford.

I'd have that up there with the best chips we've ever scored. Such nonchalance.

Definitely looks like Fernandes has given him a bit of a kick up the arse and some confidence to try things again though. I think people seriously underestimate how demoralising it is to play in front of a midfield that almost never play penetrating passes. He's back to making good runs in behind. He really does have shocking anticipation in the box though.

I think he was decent today and he's scored a vital goal for us 3 games in a row, the goal today was pure filth, the Riley Reid of goals!

Great goal, the dragback was even better than the chip. Martial can and will score more when he also learns to gamble on crosses like he did vs Chelsea.

As if the coach who bought him here and the proceeding coach were not real coaches.
Van Gaal was and he got 16 goals out of him as a 19 year old.

This one definitely isn't a coach and the last one was trying everything he could get him out the club or convert him in a full back.

Great goal but he really should have been tapping in greenwoods cross at the back post. So frustrating that he can do simple things like make a 5 10 metre sprint and score a sitter.

Has so much talent
This. He never scores easy goals does he? He makes the hard stuff look easy and does not simply do the easy stuff.

If his positioning was a bit better he would easily have bagged another 6-7 league goals each season

Main job description is to score goals. So long as he does that, nothing else matters.

Looking in the groove right now, and also seems to be immediately on same wavelength as Bruno.

Keep him fit til end of season and he will score us all the way into top 4.

Not only that, but if we get someone proper on the right for him to play off and play through (whether that's Greenwood getting consistent game time or a new man coming in), get Bruno more settled, and maybe getting Pogba back or another creative midfielder alongside Bruno, the sky is the limit for him.

Another goal to rescue our arses. We were definitely cracking at that point in time and he popped up with a sublime goal to sink Watford. Made it look so easy too!

Goal aside I thought he was really good today. Yeah certain things didn’t come off but can already see he trusts that Bruno will get him the ball.
I know people will pinpoint that Greenwood ball across the box but what about all the other times in the game he made that run and unfortunately it didn’t drop to him. Generally had a good game.

The goal was just filth. Don’t really see anyone else in our starting line up being able to do that.

4-3-3 is our best formation with the front 3 interchanging..with Rashford back, a front 3 of Martial, Rashford and Greenwood will be lethal. If we scoop Sanchez then that front 3 will cause most defences to shit at the thought of them. Add Greenwood and DJ as backups and we will be deadly

Not many in the world could score that goal.

The goals were impressive but the most remarkable thing was that LVG was using him similarly to how he used Robben in the preceding WC. You had a freshly signed 19 year old who operated as the creative hub of the team.

I agree on your point that he'd be best served under a coach who could actually get through to him but he seems to be pretty stubborn. Van Gaal's approach with him was to highlight his strengths and mask his weaknesses as opposed to trying to coach the weaknesses out of him.
