Does it not seem a little strange that four of the ciuntries hardest hit by cv19 (uk Italy Spain and belgium) have been chosen?

Given what seems to be happening in North and south America id guess they are both unlikely to be hosting anytime soon... perhaps a couple of middle east and Asian gps and if all are double headers then we end up with around 16 races which would seem a decent amount

Very fair point.
I just hope that we get some form of competition and of course hope that Lewis Hamilton wins his 7th world championship.

Lewis Hamilton is an annoying git. He's delusional and has some issues for sure.

His latest statement it he is the first working class F1 champion

Oh, how hard life has been to you Lewis!
I dont get who he is trying to appeal too? He was a Mclaren works drive from age 9. He's had the best equipment available to him since that age. Whether his parents had money or not, at that point it became utterly irrelevant.

No, it makes a lot of sense to have it at those circuits.

The challenge they have is condensing the season and it's easier to move most of the F1 circus via road, than air currently. The circuits will be pretty much in a bubble, so they will have a control over testing and individuals in & out of the place. Plus also there is a higher proportion of Grade One circuits (which F1 needs to operate on) in Europe than anywhere in the world.

Lewis Hamilton: F1 champion to set up commission to increase diversity in motorsport

Hamilton is a weird one. He often says really dumb shite but he also more often than not does the right thing. He should probably just not speak and let his actions do the talking in the future.

He is a proper plonker.....and I have never liked him.
But, kudos to him ... he seems to be the most mature driver in F1 .... of all times. I still despise the guy, but appreciate and really value the fact that he seems to be able to think about a wide range of issues outside of F1-Circus - and he seems to care enough to speak about them as well. In that sense he tops everyone in current and past F1 times.

He's basically like Elon. They'll come off much better if you take away their access to social media and stick to what they actually do.

I think its fair to say even the biggest Hamilton fan would admit he's bit of a weird dude.

I do kinda hope Hamilton enjoys a quiet retirement instead I have a feeling he might end up tarnishing his reputation if he is constantly chipping in via twitter (or whatever the equivalent is in 15 years)

Should point out, the original article now has Hamilton saying " I was the first working-class, black F1 champion" and other places which had run with that quote now have disclaimers updating their articles acknowledging that it was Men's Health misquoting Hamilton originally, not Hamilton being an arrogant bastard.

All right so I'm obviously way behind in starting to watch this but I'm over halfway into S1 now and holy shit I never realized how much of a massive cnt Sergio Perez is. It probably shows the best how fked up the money backing plays a roll in driver lineup.

Not sure why I didn't start watching this sooner. Good stuff.

Some of the replies. Virtue signalling and bandwagons being mentioned a lot. Anyone who spends time on social with F1 fans will see how much racial abuse Lewis actually gets. Thats before you even get to the black face shit Lewis had to go through years ago in Barcelona.

He is a massive tit but he is right here. Never really like him as a spokesman but he is on key here. After reading some of the comments from F1 fans he truly deserves more credit, it's fair to say he wouldn't be getting half of the abuse if he was white..

He just needs to do it like Seb and get off social media.

Place is a toxic cesspool.

I'm surprised they've not come up with something themselves in the time they've had off track. I'm going with Ferrari not making it to Q3 this weekend, Charles is making all kinds of defeatist noises this weekend

For people in India.. Is the practice session being streamed anywhere? Why doesn't Hotstar have a "Formula1" section in sports anymore?

Using the official F1 website. They seem to have done a fair bit of upgrading for this year, so figured to do it with them as opposed to the usual 3rd-party site.

It's a big statement considering they're the "silver arrows"

I know it's only free practice, but Mercedes looks frightening again. Ferrari absolutely nowhere. Racing Point might be the surprise package.

Merc look a class above. Don’t seem to be stretching themselves.

Very close pack after that. Hoping for some excellent racing between RB, Ferrari, Renault, RP & McLaren.

Reliability/damage could be vital this season. With so many back-to-back & triple headers, along with travel restrictions and difficulties, anyone that hasn’t got the right stock of replacements could be screwed.
