You are right, but the the big weakness of the Merc is running in traffic, it hates it.
Ah thats interesting, I guess it's usually so far in front it doesn't have to work in the traffic normally so it's not a weakness thats shown that often

Exactly why you take the pen now, any red flag or safety car brings Hamilton back into play. By waiting, you'd lose that remote possibility and gain nothing.
He had to take the penalty within 3 laps of the restart

Hamilton seems to be making up a second a lap but that’s in clean air. Can easily see him crashing as he tries to fly through the traffic.

I love Kimi, that’s proper racing. Sainz put a good move on him and he made it hard but fair.

Would be nice to see Gasly win after Red Bull binned him, if not maybe Norris.

Just not boring Bottas

Sainz is on it this weekend, but can't see him overhauling Gasly here.

Don't think it really matters when Ham took the pen. Clean air either way so no advantage in staying out. Probably best to get it done in case of yet another safety car.

Hamilton nearly caught with the pack I think. 2 seconds off Albon.

If he had another lap, could have put some more gap between him and the pack. Plus everyone fighting in between means it's a potential advantage for Lewis.
The net gain would be the same, he either pulls away 2sec in first place or he gains 2sec in last place.

Albon is about to get some revenge on Hamilton for the times he's took him out!

How long do the soft tyres last? Gasly being caught here already.

Edit: never mind, I confused myself.

Albon at the back, Gasly at the front.
What do we think is wrong with Albon? Is he just a bit like Bottas dare I use the word a bit of a drip? That F1 series portrayed CH acting like he was a bit of a protégé? It definitely came across as Max being the golden one though so does he get favourable treatment? Or is it just like Hamilton/ Bottas where one is just such a superior driver the other is made to look rubbish? But then Bottas is at least consistent

Whats up with the Red Bulls this weekend. Albon can't catch a Williams and even Max struggled for the entire race.

Its not the Honda engine, Gasly is proving that.

As expected, no straightline on the Merc. He won’t get anywhere

Oh stroll never Pitted? Is that why he suddenly got ahead of so many cars? I was sure he had been miles behind Perez at one point

Albon just isn’t good enough.
Neither Gasly in RedBull, 6 months Gasly in RB was worse than 6 months Albon last year. Both outperform Kvyat in TR though. The problem is that RB car build for Max, leaving other seat must learn to suit Max style.
Merc built great car than can outperform anybody even drove by good not great like Bottas.
Untill RB built like Merc i think this situation will always like this.

Imagine if Sainz wins. He will be going from a race winning car to Ferrari!

Stroll hasn’t stopped.. right?

I thought all cars had to stop in the pits at least once? Does Red flag override that?
