What I find funny is that people think anybody is going to pressure a guy like Mbappe. He's pretty much one of the most intelligent superstar player I've heard speak, he's media-savvy, and he knows how valuable he is and isn't afraid to stand up for what he wants even if it's going to make him unpopular.

No one is going to bully this kid into going or staying, French presidents or not (I find it so funny that some are trying to act as if that had any impact whatsoever). And it's hilarious to see Perez already coming back for more by laying the groundwork for a future transfer. This guy needs his Mbappe fix, no matter how much his fanbase might deny or dislike it. He is bigger than their club. It's been weeks and they still can't stop talking about him. Marcelo says his good-byes to the Madrid fans and they're chanting 'F Mbappe'. In 3 years, they'll call him the King of Madrid again before he ever kicks a ball for them.

Chanting "puta Mbappe" is the kind of fun banter you can allow yourself when you've won your 14th CL title, Sayros. But I understand these things might be hard to grasp for fans of smaller clubs like PSG.

That's probably the most unprofessional thing I've seen a player do on the pitch that's within the rules.

Really poor from him. If he keeps this attitude he won't go far. Try doing this for Madrid and see what happens. He probably isn't happy that Messi and Neymar are doing well.

If PSG doesn’t win the CL this year, I can see that relationship starting to sour.

When I watched this live, I thought he was injured
I assumed he was on first glance? Surely he's pulled something and just lashed out in frustration?

The state of footballers these days, the past decade have given us some of the most entitled bunch I can remember, El Hadji Diouf was a cnut, but some of the modern ones are just petulant and arrogant beyond belief.

Mbappé is petulant, he has always been and he is also a whining machine. It has nothing to do with PSG or his new contract.

For all his undoubted ability it has to be said he is one of the greediest players I’ve seen. The number of times he ignores good chances for a cut back in favour of trying to dribble multiple players or shoot from tight angles must annoy his team mates. Sensational talent, him and Neymar are really unlikeable players though.

Neymar, for all his antics, is a way better team player and has a much higher workrate than Mbappe.

Would've had a tap in had he just followed the play. You see that a lot in football, instincts as a watcher are he's open so play it early but the team will choose differently and create a better chance for the striker who was initially calling for it.

Dig up stupid!
Disgraceful behaviour. The funniest part being if he'd continued his run he'd have got a tap in

I assume he was immediately hooked?

Since he is in charge of the substitutions: why would he do that?

I like all three of them but Messi and Neymar are clearly superior footballers: Mbappe is reliant on his extreme pace for a lot of his effectiveness. I think the friction is mostly between Neymar and Mbappe, that dynamic has never been smooth even before Messi came there to muddy the waters further. Mbappe has admitted that he once called Neymar a 'tramp' because Ney didn't pass him the ball.

My natural instinct is to defend him against such charges, but the evidence is mounting.

That’s disgusting and pretty unforgiving to do. It says so much about the player.

It’s utter disrespect to his teammates, his manager and even more so his fans. He’s essentially sacrificed a potential goal because of his ego. I don’t remember seeing anything like it.

PSG have created a rod for their own back with how they raised him on a pedestal with the crazy new contract and clauses.

Why would you defend him? It's been a constant since Monaco, it's the same story on the training pitch, it's ridiculous enough that his teammates laugh about it.

I'm always careful not to label black players as 'arrogant' too quickly. Not that black players can't be, but the reasons for reticence in that area are pretty obvious.

The only people surprised by this are those who haven’t been paying attention. He has shown who he is many times over the years.

Overrated diva.

Don't see why it should make any difference. If you think a player is arrogrant, which I'm sure most people agree with here regarding Mbappe, why is skin colour even part of the conversation?

Not with Hakimi shooting like that, Messi's reaction was very funny
