Easily the stand out performer. He was carrying our attack for the most of the game.

Hope he gets more protection from the referees, Yeovil and Huddersfield clattered him at any opportunity they could find.

Also, Huddersfield and their Klopp wannabe manager can feck off so many fouls and full blooded lunges.

Sanchez wasn't getting fouled this much at Arsenal. Yeovil, Spurs and now Huddersfield have targeted him with petty fouls. Needs some protection from the refs.

Glad he's got his first goal, you can imagine the media if he had a scoring drought. They've shredded Lukaku.

Some real moments of quality. Still think he's a bit wasted when he finds himself hugging the left hand touchline. Like it more when he's able to turn and take the ball on his natural foot first time.

Grew into the game and those little bursts driving at their defense started to unsettle them, good appetizer of what is hopefully to come.

Anyone but Rashford
As much as I love Martial and Rashford as player you realise how far away they still are from the truly top class when you see a guy like Sanchez.

He's always trying to hurt the opposition, always trying to pressure them into mistakes. He's going to be a joy to watch.

Brilliant to see someone who regularly beats his man and takes 1 or 2 opposing players out of the game each time. It's been a while.

Alexis was head and shoulders above all the other forward players from United against Huddersfield tonight. Martial, Lingaard and Rashers should learn from him. That class, vision, technique and tenacity made Lukaku look like an average player. Pogba will benefit from having a player like him in the team.

He's brilliant. His quality is very obvious. Love how he has that low gravity controll of the ball, seems to turn players inside out for fun. Can't wait to see more of him when he's adapted more to the team. Or maybe the team should adapt to him because he's clearly a player that needs to be involved a lot!

Shite pen though

Good point. He looked so much better than our entire team, including Pogba. His inclusion will be great for Pogba, Martial and Rashford. Even today, I could see his attitude and ability rub of a bit on Pogba and Martial who were trying hard to compliment Sanchez. You could see it from the neat flick from Martial to Sanchez which Sanchez unfortunately missed.

Absolutely world class.

Feel that we might be neck to neck with the City now, if we got him last summer. Oh well.. next year is our year, etc.

The guy is notch, I have a feeling he’ll kick on to another level on this stage and we’ll get to enjoy every minute of it.

What a player!!

Kinda knew he would miss the pen,but great he got he rebound.. He was completely shattered by the end..

For those of you who have seen playing for Arsenal regularly, was he always the most fouled player on the pitch??

This. Absolutely spot on.

Shows exactly why you need seasoned world class players in the squad - its a good way to benchmark the quality of the squad. The vision, tenacity and class is quite obvious and will hopefully rub off on the younger players and take them to the next level.

I am worried about his age. How long before he loses the pace, two years ? Was great today!

Far better than Martial on the left but his fan club won't let you have any of it.

He's on a different level to any player we have at any position in the attack, that's not really the point though. He's miles better then Lukaku as a striker, miles better then anyone we have as a 10, and miles better then anyone on the left. Probably the same on the right. He basically plays as a 10 and really central all the time, it's not like he plays as a winger and stays out wide to be a threat. He drifts in, comes deep and gets a free role so him being there doesn't specifically keep anyone out of the team, as if Martial is in form, he can still play on the left, or if Lingard is in form, he can play through the middle or up top, or whatever else.

I love Martial, and before he had to play every game for me because we had nobody to provide that sort of threat. Sanchez is one of the best in the world at it so obviously it's a different situation now.

He's amazing. His movement, ability to dribble past players, link up play and passing are fantastic. Before him I felt we only really had Pogba who could open up defenses with his dribbling and passing. Having him and Sanchez should make it easier to breakdown the lesser teams.

Solid performance from Sanchez. Worked his socks off! Practically getting kicked off the pitch. He is a spark for us and his constant forward thinking and always driving forward is exactly what we need. The other players around him will have to step up and start thinking and reacting quicker to get all the benefits of his plays.

This reads like a Trump tweet.
Well, Trump is certainly past his prime, if he ever had one!

Imagine if football players had the president's freedom to use Twitter and reply to fans's comments about their performances

I was wondering about this. Is everybody upset he's making too much money?:D

He was anxious to get off the mark today. Poor pen, but it doesn't matter. Hope it settles him down a bit.

There's no need for posts like this.
I considered Martial undroppable, and probably still do. But, Sanchez is on such a different level that it has given perspective.

It very much drives home the point that Martial is still not the finished product, while Sanchez is. If only Martial was a few years older and Sanchez a few years younger...

Imagine if we had someone of his class on the RW as well. The amount of perfect passes and situations he turned into an attack today was quite something.

Such a difference between someone like him and Mata. Mata will keep it ticking and sometimes be tidy, Sanchez will make it happen.
