Alexis Sanchez | Done deal

They should have made the 2 deals separate but effectively together like rooney/lukaku to ease the worries of the fans. What were they thinking

Mickhi shouldn't be abused cause he's honoring his contract and doesn't want to move to a club he doesn't want to go to.

He really isn't going to get a better offer than Arsenal based on what he's done with us overall. Dortmund is the only other place I'd say he could go that wouldn't be a massive step down.

I look forward to reading all these arguments about Mkhi leaving next time a player wants to force his way out. I’m sure it will be viewed the same.

Why dont we just pay cash for Sanchez and get rid of Mkhi in the summer?

Looks like Arsenal aren't letting us do that, because they're idiots. Take the £35m and get a better player than Mkhi.

because that's only in our interest. Arsenal have made it clear that they want a replacement in place before letting him go, if only to appease the fanbase. Whether that's Miki or Auba. If Auba gets done then i'm sure they'll let Sanchez go for cash. But they wont risk getting nothing by the end of the transfer window. and why should they

Can I also suggest that Di Marzigod is never doubted again? Of course not everything he says will ultimately come off but that is football, does not make him wrong.

Basically there or Dortmund. Probably better money at Arsenal but I don’t see many other decent teams looking at him.

I think Dortmund have already said that the transfer fee is too high.
Basically, they don't think he is worth that much and based on how bad he's been for us, I agree with them.

If Mikhi doesn't go he should be treated with the same respect as our other players, he is in contract with us. Those suggesting punishments are small time and should go support a small club like City.

Why?

It's not on him to see that this transfer goes through, he might simply not want to move to Arsenal, and when we signed a contract we made the same commitment he did.

Are we not better than that?

Mkhitaryan has had his chance, he has disappointed. He gets a very nice opportunity to start over at Arsenal, if he is smart he will take that chance.

If he doesn't and if the transfer of Sanchez falls through because of that than his story at this club will have been one of failure and misery and fans will blame him for missing out on Sanchez which might not be fair but it will happen anyway.

SANCHEZ/MKHI WOULD BE STRAIGHT SWAP

Alexis Sanchez’s move to Manchester United depends on Henrikh Mkhitaryan agreeing terms with Arsenal.

That’s according to the Armenian international’s agent Mino Raiola who has told Sky Sports News that “Sanchez is part of Mkhi’s deal. Not the other way around. Without him, Sanchez simply cannot go to United.”

Vitally, it’s understood that if agreement can be reached, the deal will be a straight player swap and will not include any fee for Sanchez.

There's Riaola quotes on Mkhi being part of the deal, but only a standard "Sky Sports Understands" about there not being a fee...

Mate, we are a football club. We are just like every other club in the World, only a bit richer.
And as fans, we are no better or worse than the fans of other clubs around the World.
I do agree though, it is not on Miki to sign for AFC. If he feels that they are not good for him, then he has every right to stay and I would not hold that against him.

So an Arsenal ITK is claiming Raiola wants a 10m agent fee paying for this to go through. Others are claiming Mkhitaryan wants either his current wage matching or a pay off to leave United.

Where's he going to play? The way they were talking last night on MNF was as if Martial would make way for him but surely he's gonna come in on the right.

Not me.

He should do what he thinks is best for him. If we don't get Sanchez because he didn't take a move he didn't want, to a lower placed club, for lower wages, that won't be his fault or his problem.

Mickhi scoring a hattrick at OT. It's written.

Miki is not going to score 3 goals anytime soon. Let alone in a single game.
To put some numbers on Miki, in half a season, in the EPL he has scored once. And since scoring that goal, he has got worse.
Perhaps like Rooney, he is declining early. But it is strange to see a player in his absolute prime, getting worse, game after game.

He could play wide left/right or behind Lukaku. I'd be inclined to start him wide right and see how it goes. That position is the one we desperately need to sort.

That seems very odd.

Especially when they could use that money far more effectively than having Mhkitaryan. This is a great deal for us this way though, no transfer fee being paid and getting rid of deadwood.
