If the press are to be believed (and on the most part, I'd think they're not) they wanted Martial and got talked down to Mkhitaryan and no compensation
Confidence obviously plays a part but I genuinely don't think he's actually that good at football. His dribbling isn't anything special against tough opposition, has a lack of awareness and space despite being seemingly good at this at Dortmund, and lacks any character on the pitch.Miki is not going to score 3 goals anytime soon. Let alone in a single game.
To put some numbers on Miki, in half a season, in the EPL he has scored once. And since scoring that goal, he has got worse.
Perhaps like Rooney, he is declining early. But it is strange to see a player in his absolute prime, getting worse, game after game.
This would be the best deal since CantonaTweet

The last time Mkhi scored or assisted was the 27th of September vs CSKA Moscow away (1 goal, 1 assist). Since then he's had 638 minutes without scoring or assisting. Over 10 and a half hours of football.Miki is not going to score 3 goals anytime soon. Let alone in a single game.

The fact he has been playing like shite and Mourinho wants him out should be his problem. He can get a fresh start at Arsenal, if he pulls up his nose for that, I will be even further disappointed in him then I already am right now.Not me.
He should do what he thinks is best for him. If we don't get Sanchez because he didn't take a move he didn't want, to a lower placed club, for lower wages, that won't be his fault or his problem.
Exactly. People are treating it as if the players were in the same contractual situation.People really are underrating Miki and this situation. Miki has several years left on his contract, while Sanchez only has about 5 months and will be free. Miki is easily worth as much as Sanchez in these circumstances. The only reason why Miki isn't worth a lot more is his relatively high wage demands that Arsenal likely won't match, which will lower his transfer fee.
I'd like this to be true but I doubt it is, given the Armenian journalist was mentioning specific figures. I can imagine why people would want to sell the deal like this, to maintain Mhki's perceived worth. However, a straight swap seems very unlikely to my mind.Tweet

He's leaving on a free in 6 months anyway. At least this way they get a player backI know it's Arsenal but they can't be that pathetic.

Makes sense in all honesty.Tweet

This reads like he is letting the world know that he is not in charge of targets. It is rather embarrassing and may actually underline the rumours that the board/roman dictate these things and he is just told to get on with it. No wonder so many managers leave/sacked
I look forward to reading all these arguments about Mkhi leaving next time a player wants to force his way out. I’m sure it will be viewed the same.
Exactly. It makes sense.Makes sense in all honesty.
No idea why Miki would suddenly be worth feck all regardless of his form. Decent length of contract to run, has delivered bits of magic at times so potential remains under a new manager.
If Sanchez is only worth £35m with 6 months to go, then I don't know why Miki isn't worth the same (could definitely get more for him if he was in better form). I mean fecking AOC went for £40m don't forget.
Mou will do nothing of that sort. If Miki does well in training, he will play. It all depends on Mou's strategy for the match. As i said before- if Mikhi decides to stay he is going to rot in reserves. I don't think Mou will play him.
He was in the last year of his deal at Dortmund as well.Mkhi was £23m, correct?
27m (rising to 30m?)Mkhi was £23m, correct?
Meanwhile, Redcafe is in meltdown and calling for Jose to be sacked.Mickhi scoring a hattrick at OT. It's written.
£27m, I think. As if we could technically be making a profit.Mkhi was £23m, correct?
But surely Arsenal would then be better served reverting to a £35 million fee and leaving Miki out of it. Cash plus Miki I can understand, even when taking Sanchez's contract situation into account; but a straight swap would be a poor deal for Arsenal. I still think it will be cash plus Miki. He's leaving on a free in 6 months anyway. At least this way they get a player back
Yeah I'm not even sure he knew who Ross Barkley is for instance. Managers at Chelsea have no influence on incomings. This reads like he is letting the world know that he is not in charge of targets.
