for me, the next striker shouldn't purely be based on goal output. We need somebody who can hold the ball up, press, be able to work long balls if required.

Goal scoring is obviously always vital, but most top strikers can do that anyway.

I am not disputing the players ability, I am concerned about his injury record and how that now seems to be affecting his confidence. What happened to Martial in that game? Did you see him get a knock, did he pull up, was he tackled? No, he probably felt something, and now that he is injured every 5 mins he's probably freaked out everything small will turn into something major, and he took himself out. What player have you ever seen recover from that?

he got injured in warm up and played through it, but had to be taken off as the injury aggravated. but yeah - of course he will get more sensible with every injury. just hope he can stay fit for the rest of the season. he could make a real difference

I mean come on. If anything playing after the injury made it worse. If he just wanted to go home early or play tetris on the bench it would have been easier to pull out. My own crackpot theory is his languid style doesn't agree with his body's maintenance upkeep but that's more habit than anything intentional or anti-team like screwing us over on matchday.

Are you sure you read that here? We judge player after they have played 3 games ( case in point Antony thread). This place was convinced that he isnt good enough and should be moved on. Some regular Pogba critics shifted their attention to him.

I dont have a problem with people saying we miss him, its just the extreme reaction on his injury is what i have issue on. Almost like they are blaming him for being injured as if he did it on purpose
