No not at all.
Then what's the issue then? The club say he's leaving before the final? The say after the final? What difference does it make? He still has to manage the club during the final either way. If they were going to announce he was leaving they should have done it months ago, but you can't pre-sack someone in March and then count down the days. Tuchel's contract ran down and isn't being renewed, Ten Hag is being shown the door.

The club are allowing this all to play out in the media, think it's a bit poor. Just not the way it should be handled IMO.

The club aren't doing anything. He's been notified he's gone, his agents are getting to work leaking to the media he's about to be available and we're speaking to new candidates to find the one we want without the circus of what's happened at Bayern Munich.

He is staying. Ineos will give him the benefit of the doubt due to injuries and he, in the United tradition, will be fired around November or December.

Why do we care about any of this again? Who cares when it's announced, we don't owe Ten Hag anything. He will know if he's gone anyway.

Have you seen what's happened at Bayern since they announced Tuchel was leaving?
It couldn't be more different.

United have got McKenna lined up in the background waiting. Bayern sacked mid-season without any work being done beforehand. Depending on who you believe we made the decision on ETH a long time ago.

Is that how you talk about someone who brought us The Cup last season?

If the leaks are coming directly from the men above him, it is classless. However if the leaks are coming from a different camp, there is nothing the club can do about that.

You cannot force the club to not consider his replacements due to some concerns that it may be leaked. If they have not let him know yet, that is fine too since they may not want to disrupt the team morale before a cup final.
Sure but Ten Hag doesn’t have to tell the team either.

How is he lined up if he's also talking to Brighton and Chelsea and we apparently also have a 4 person shortlist including someone who only became available 2 days ago? This is all just reporting at the moment, nothing is formalised.

I think this is naive again but sure. Of course not.

TH is just an employee and as an employee you have to work with what you have got. You cant say oh if this had happened or this hadnt have happened we would have finished top 4. We didnt. We finished 8th, an absolute disgrace however you look at it. He failed and should be sacked.

hard to argue in all fairness. Still feel this hasn’t been handled very well, speaking to McKenna perhaps the club feel they ought to go get him before Chelsea come swooping the blokes has talent that’s apparent. His coaching feedback was first class when coaching youth team and struggled when coaching with ole. But what could he do with a good background behind him who knows let’s hope. It’s ballsy from ineos, but I like a gamble and it can’t get much worse. From looking at it again ETH did start playing better just before ineos take over perhaps he was told that he wouldn’t be kept, and hence the massive fall off?

Only been saying for months that he needed sacked whenever the decision was made.

We could have played out these last few weeks under McLaren, who seems to be sticking around regardless, and avoided a repeat of the LVG/FA cup/Mourinho PR embarrassment.

There's something rotten about all of this.
ETH is essentially the last regimes man. INEOS clearly feels no sense of responsibility or loyalty to the decision to make him manager. He is a placeholder until they can get their ducks in a row and figure out what they want to do - that has been clear from day one. As long as they do nothing there is no decision to criticise them for having made. It seems that Pochettino becoming available and McKenna being linked with Chelsea have triggered their need to make a decision a little ahead of schedule. It is not nice, and it is a bit disrespectful towards Ten Hag - especially right before a cup final, but to them he was never a long term option. They have gone to great lengths to avoid making any decisions so far, but it seems Chelsea and their decision to sack Pochettino just forced them into it.

The line from INEOS that they will make a decision after the Cup Final is just confirming what we all know will happen, ETH is gone. If they wanted to keep him the decision would already have been made.

It’s no wonder that is leading to speculation because anyone can read between the lines but they can’t come out and back him if they don’t mean it. Bit of a no win situation as you have to sound out prospective replacements but then you can’t control information being leaked.

Hate all this noise around the issue before the fecking cup final. Everything should be focused on Saturday and nothing else. I know it's unlikely that we'll win but we have to believe it can happen.

He should have been sacked right after we finished 4th in an easy CL group. With a caretaker we'd probably have finished top-4. I can accept that the ownership changes was the main reason he wasn't. Since then, it was handled correctly.

Now, ETH he has the incentive to try and win the cup because this will help him find a job. Otherwise, nobody will be excited to hire the manager that finished 8th with Man Utd, the lowest position post-SAF. Even Ole did better than that, and he still doesn't have a job. ETH proved to be really bad in every aspect of management, transfers, in game management, man management, everything ... it will not be easy for him to find a good job.

If you look at our squad compared to that of a City or a Liverpool you can easily see that we have a mix of 3-5 manager's players. Its like being asked to put together a Lego set of the Titanic, but you have pieces for like 4 other sets included. ETH in my opinion needs time to implement his squad without dealing with leftover pieces that dont fit his puzzle. I thought he worked miracles with last years team to be honest and this year... its been overall a more competitive year in the premier league and we didnt hit the targets we shot for, but to just throw it out is a bit quick to shoot and slow to ask questions.
We will have a fantastic idea of what we are by next Winter transfer period, and if its not what the board think is acceptable then I am behind them, but he has not been given enough time.

5 managers?

We're about to contest a cup final and there is all this uncertainty and chatter about sacking the manager, it is not going to create good conditions for us.
Disagree. I don’t see all this talk of his inevitable sacking as distracting really. The opposite in fact.

I somehow think Ten Hag knowing he’s getting sacked will only fire him up more to win the final. Not that it matters, he’s not the one playing, but I mean that he won’t go into the game disinterested let alone sabotage the team. He will be more desperate to salvage something for his reputation and his pride. Also, to have something to show for other prospective employers.

The players will want to play for themselves, for the trophy and for Europe next season. And those that like Ten Hag will also want to play for him even more.
