Yes the squad we originally picked was poor but we cannot do much now so a shock can only be good if it allows us to change something but we cannot change anything. SO it's better to win everything now.We picked a poor squad, and injuried haven't helped. We are too top heavy.
Fourth if they lose and Pak-Ban is a washout.Am I right in thinking England can only finish third if they win tomorrow?
Yes. SO it is most likely India England then.Am I right in thinking England can only finish third if they win tomorrow?
Very unlikely to be washout though, no?Fourth if they lose and Pak-Ban is a washout.
Added an edit. Eng finish fourth if they and Pak both lose.Very unlikely to be washout though, no?
Yes. SO it is most likely India England then.
And that Orange jersey will be back. Should be a fun match. One thing is for sure we won't be lacking any intent this timeOn the same ground too
I think it's time we pay you back for 99Fourth if they lose and Pak-Ban is a washout.
Edit: Or if Pak lose too.
Think India will beat Sri Lanka and Australia will slip up against SA. Making it an England-Australia semi.Yes. SO it is most likely India England then.
Zero % chance of rain on Friday in London. Think regardless of tomorrow's result, Bangla will beat Pak.Fourth if they lose and Pak-Ban is a washout.
Edit: Or if Pak lose too.
Eng to win tomorrow making Ban/Pak inconsequential. However it will be funny if Eng lose tomorrow and Pak blow their chance by losing to Bangladesh.Zero % chance of rain on Friday in London. Think regardless of tomorrow's result, Bangla will beat Pak.
I actually wouldn't mind facing England again at Edgbaston, would be a good game and beating them would give us immense confidence going into the Finals. Also cannot see Aus losing to SA.Think India will beat Sri Lanka and Australia will slip up against SA. Making it an England-Australia semi.
Would be great for us. Would mean we will face NZ in semis.Eng to win tomorrow making Ban/Pak inconsequential. However it will be funny if Eng lose tomorrow and Pak blow their chance by losing to Bangladesh.
Weather in England has been sunny for past week or more. All pitches now returning to their normal self. Even yesterday you saw 300+ scores in both innings. Early days but weather forecast for few days before semi final at Birmingham is for rain so dunno how that will affect things. They go into the match, at least, with many things the way they want them. With the weather improving all the time, this Durham pitch looks hard and full of runs; the England management reckon it is the best batting surface they have encountered so far. And while there are aches and pains throughout the squad, Jofra Archer and Jason Roy are both deemed to be fit. Mark Wood is sore but should be fit, leaving Moeen Ali again likely to miss out.
This will spark a lot of debate but the truth is we can't tell because we didn't have as good camera angels/analysis before this.Is Bumrah as good a bowler of Yorkers as anybody in the history of the game? Genuine question.
Just have to hope his action doesn’t take too much toll on his body to the point he has to start taking breaks to avoid injuryBumrah could be an all time great by the time he finishes..
Don't really blame them. If you're not somehow connected to the 12-14 countries that play it at the top level chances are you don't know what it is.Cricket was getting slagged off in the general forum thread.
It's nice to come on here with people that get it
Oh I know.Don't really blame them. If you're not somehow connected to the 12-14 countries that play it at the top level chances are you don't know what it is.
The biggest newspaper in my country mentions cricket about three times every year. A couple of days ago they wrote about bees stopping play between SL-SA. Today they wrote about how Gabriel got hit by a flying bail and almost lost his eye with Rihanna in the stands. Last year they wrote about ex-cricketer Imran Khan becoming PM, the ball tampering scandal, and some SL player suspended for rape. No mention at all of any on field action. I guess it's the same story in most other countries too. Cricket is irrelevant in majority of the countries.
I agree with the general sentiment of this post. With that being said, when you are from one of these nations and you do get cricket it’s a fecking brilliant game. Far better than any sport bar football for me, and there are so many unique things about it.Don't really blame them. Agreed.Oh I know.
It's weird, I love cricket but I can see why so many don't.
It's not an easy game to understand quickly.
I simply dont get the attraction towards T20 leagues. They are all so boring and meaningless. Who cares what X franchise wins? It just seems so plastic to me.I agree with the general sentiment of this post. With that being said, when you are from one of these nations and you do get cricket it’s a fecking brilliant game. For example, there’s nothing else in sport for me that can match ebb and flow of a test match, or the pure explosiveness of an IPL match. Cricket is great stuff
You would think that, but I do feel quite strongly about my country’s franchise in the Caribbean T20 league. It doesn’t feel plastic to me at all.I simply dont get the attraction towards T20 leagues. They are all so boring and meaningless. Who cares what X franchise wins? It just seems so plastic to me.
Not to mention how they always bring in the boundaries and it makes big shots so meaningless.
That said it's the best way to promote the game it seems.
Was he better than the options picked?Ambati Rayudu retires from International Cricket. Will play only in the IPL.
Being overlooked for Mayank Agarwal was the straw on the camel's back I suppose.
No he was a garbage player who was somehow getting chances. Good riddance. Was he better than the options picked?
