The person whom this tweet was aimed at said that Adidas Paris doesnt know anything more than we do in terms of confirmation on a potential transfer. And if you look at it, even if they knew, they have nothing to lose by selling something which is a symbol of what most Juve fans are hoping for. I don't get the fuss.

I don't know which one is worse

Asking an adidas store attendant for Pogba and thinking they knew the answer

"OR"

That the even an adidas store attendant knew the answer and us muppets are the only clueless being in the internet

We say embrace your inner transfer muppet. Stop fighting it with logic and reason. Here are our ten rules of doing it properly...

  • Believe any report from a foreign sounding media agency, even if it comes from a country unrelated to the relevant clubs or player in any way.
  • Demand that an established journalist reveal the source of their story, as if that won't stop the source ever disclosing any info ever again.
  • Deride any transfer news that doesn't include quotes, as if footballers/managers/agents are more prone to honesty than serving their own agendas.
  • Get preemptively angry and annoyed at a player just in case a rumour about them wanting to leave or forcing a move away is true.
  • Develop a strange fixation with swap deals and the use of existing players as makeweights, despite the fact such deals hardly ever happen.
  • Fool yourself into thinking a player won't possibly leave for reasons such as 'winning things with us will mean so much more than winning things with them'. Because that's true.
  • Become a body language expert overnight, because a player's reaction at any one time is always indicative of their happiness at a club.
  • Complain that a transfer story was made up if the move doesn't happen, as if circumstances don't change and plans don't alter accordingly.
  • Wonder whether the pursuit of a potential signing you don't want is that most mythical of transfer window phenomenons - the smokescreen.
  • Dismiss out of hand that a player is worth the reported £23.5m asking price, and furthermore decree that a penny over £18m would be daylight robbery.

The writers over at Joe.ie obviously read this forum on a daily basis.

SSN says he's in Manchester Saturday.
Done dealio. They seriously wouldn't bother saying so otherwise.

As I said this morning, Andy Burton has been briefed is my bet. They always go balls out when he has been told - he was with Pogba in LA last week too.

Burton is a schmoozing tw*t but he does have a LOT of contacts in football.

They are saying that "sources " say he will travel to manchester on Saturday and may be announced as soon as Monday !
Didn't most of the reports say similar things this time last week? I've given up believing anyone or anything until United announce something formally.

So is this Pogs last day of his hols?

If so I think we'll get something interesting and more concrete later tonight after the game at OT.

My reading of it is that he is flying to Manchester from New York on Saturday. Based mainly on SkySports news

It's certainly odd how it's taking so long. I mean I appreciate he's on holiday but if it's all sorted the only reason to not announce it would be for a marketing/behind the scenes ploy?

Auto banned iirc. Too much post in one thread?
Nope, just observing the thread since I can't add anymore than "Pogba is done" and we've discussed the fee 1 hundred times id rather wait until it's announced when I can get fully excited. I'm also on holiday so the time differences are massively different and I get very little internet access.

Yes. We didn't announce Zlatan or Mkhitaryan until they were in the United polo, etc. That seems to be how most PL teams do it now a days.

I'm all aboard the good ship Pogba, but his agent has sort of proved why Ferguson got rid of him and wouldnt play his bullshit game to be honest.
Why would an agent give a feck about a club? His role is to protect the player not the club.

No one knows for sure, allegedly he was due back for training with Juve on the 7th, after such a long holiday us mere mortals would probably want to get back on the 5th, turn the heating on in the house, wash pants / socks and getting ready for work... Not sure footballers need to think like that.

IF he is due to Manchester on Saturday, I imagine we would announce something fairly soon - he wouldn't just turn up in Manchester.
