It’s not an excuse just an observation. We don’t have the same spark going forward and our pressing lasted about 15 minutes.
I was referring to the Sky commentary team.

I think it's a case of City handling the press incredibly well, rather than tiredness on Liverpool's part.

I was at first surprised at how all the play was being dictated by Liverpool but City came into it more as the game grew.

City's wide players were pretty poor, Mahrez in particular. They also really miss KDB.

Otherwise looking a these two teams, what strikes me is how clearly and comfortably better Hazard is than anyone else on the pitch today. Difference class to these players to be honest.

Ref favouring Liverpool for no reason.

Penalty not given.

Henderson not carded.

Now Sterling doesn't get the free kick.

Poor game, we're happy to LVG it with the ball, and not overcommit, sitting deep so Liverpool can't use their usual, let us press and hoof it over the top to destroy us again. Not pretty but Pep has got it spot on so far defensively which is a change. When Liverpool do push on we are missing KDB's long passing for counters.

All in all both have been good at the back and pretty shite attacking wise.
Its the best way to nullify Liverpool when they play at home. Can't understand those who demand high offensive risks at Anfield when everybody knows Liverpool thrives when they have lots of space to explore imo.

Pep has learned from his mistakes and is not over-committing. Doesn't make sense to press like bonkers and get done with a ball over the top.

He'll switch it if this is level with 20 mins on the clock, Sane will make the difference.

The one time you want City to win, they look toothless.
Wouldn't surprise me if they're nervous when playing Liverpool due to recent history and their abysmal record at Anfield.

This pass it round the back then hoof it forward doesn’t really work.

Salah's purple patch looks over and done with. Back to his real level. Strange one that.
