Weren't they supposed to be the best team the EPL had ever seen? SAF would shove that single EPL title up Klopp's arse

Robertson and Henderson released books too after winning just one pl and one CL and whilst still playing? :houllier: I thought an assistant realising a book was bad but this is another level. What a small time club with small time players. What the feck is this shit?

"Bottom half budget".
Surely they can't say that with a straight face after blowing 140m on 2 strikers.

Of course they would. They came up with a documentary for coming second i.e., after the famous Gerrard slip.

The year we won number 19, the Athletic wrote a series of lengthy but fascinating articles on various key players (and Klopp of course), that was a breath of fresh air, I'd go as far as to say sports journalism at its finest. Insight, opinion, the works. These days, they are no better the pretentious click-baity shit-stirrers and that was even before they sold out to the NYT.

They were great when we won the league and wanking us off. But now they are reporting we aren't as good anymore so clearly they are just doing that for clicks

God it feels bloody good reading through this thread. Its been far too long.

My Liverpool mate has been darting round the houses with a new excuse every week. He's given up on the money and no spending power excuse now and has moved on to "the players are sabotaging Klopp on purpose."

Dear me...whatever happened to a good old fashioned "we're bollox and not good enough" admission? They always have to make special circumstances for their team.

Assuming he can’t use the “referees, VAR and match officials are against us” one

Weird to think despite how bad they’ve been, they’d be so much worse if they didn’t keep getting weird decisions in their favour. Probably not far above Everton

This entire thread is funny to read. Liverpool are far FAR worse than we ever were under Moyes, LVG and Mourinho.
It is even funnier knowing their next manager could likely be Stevie G!

Foul language but worth the click:

Its even funnier when you hear the random Arabic words in between. Every time he's speaking Arabic he's about to go on a rant then remembers he has to talk in English

This is the same club whose season review book for 2013/2014 painted them as the greatest team of all time and totally glossed over the Gerrard slip and Crystanbul and the fact they actually won feck all.

What did I just watch. the cringe is out of this world.
Its like he's forced them to take he's book, even when some of them will never read it, and others can't even speak English.
It's amazing how the book is, as far as I can tell, about the 2021-2022 season. The guy has feck all history himself that would warrant an autobiography. Wasn't a player, just an assistant coach at Porto for a bit, an assistant coach at Liverpool for a bit, failed as a manager in the Netherlands for not even a season, before coming back as an assistant coach under Klopp.

He puts cones on the training pitches. Not even Mike Phelan has written an autobiography despite a more successful career. That should highlight what an opportunistic shite this guy is, and I'm glad that some folk are saying that his book is partly to blame for Liverpool's slump.

The comments on that video are just as cringe:

the moment at the end where Pep looks at Jurgen as hes saying "Im really proud of you" i think I shed a tear
The value that Pep brings to the team is incredible. When Zeljko Buvac left his post, the fans got a bit worried, but Jurgen knew that Pep would make the position his own. What a human being!
Already half through this one. Big achievement, great team, beautiful personality, wonderful read. I learned a lot from this and I’m not even a football coach. Thank you!
This legit made me cry and I rarely cry. This team & togetherness has made me do this. I love you all & Liverpool
Wow, Oh My God. This is one on a kind type of videos, so different and unexpected but gratifiant... Huge respect for Pep Lijnders, he's one of the architects of this beautiful and successful team. I want him to be our manager the second after Jürgen decide to leave our club.

It's utterly embarrassing, and what's worse is they are oblivious to how embarrassing it is. The lack of self awareness is astonishing really.
A nobody righting a book that nobody in their right mind would read.

So only famous people should bother writing books?

Liver “humble 6 times la greatest fans in the world best team in history” pool.
My personal favourite.

2014: Liverpool fan gestures 'fives times' to Real Madrid, who have won it 10 times.
