True. She has an uncanny ability to remember things in the past, but future, less so. Unless this is a new, worrying abilityBit harsh on your wife

Technically he hasn't actually signed for us yetHow did ESPN even air that interview? Doesn't MUTV usually always have the right to air the first interview with the player after signing him?

The clubs do, of course. The clubs can decide to value rooney £100 trillion gazillions if they want toWho sets Rooney's valuation though?
Don't know about that since he has already completed his medical. Mail was reporting yesterday that we want to make some kind of flamboyant announcement in LA for Lukaku. I hope it's similar to what Real Madrid do when they sign a Galactico.Technically he hasn't actually signed for us yet
I expect he has, it's just not been announced yet.Technically he hasn't actually signed for us yet
Haha, no way, i'd be afraid of them doing it during dinner.
Invite your neighbours round for dinner
Makes you wonder what DM and LW we're really after. Seems like our main target was Lukaku all along, a huge deal and barely any media picked up on it. So they could easily be working on (just for example as a player we've barely been linked to) Bakayoko while Matic, Dier etc have worked as a smokescreen.Delighted with this. I was amazed that we hadn't really been linked with him previously.
Before the tour squad is announced imo. So I'll say 10:00. Just under 35mins to see if I'm right.Let's play a game ...see who can guess what time he will sign today? My guess is 18:00
Looks like he has.Technically he hasn't actually signed for us yet
This isn't remotely close to being true.
Just seen this on twitter, is this true?

I mean in terms of sitting down with club officials to actually sign the contract, then doing the kit pictures/promo videos/MUTV interview. That might only happen after the officials and the MUTV media team fly out to the US. So right now he's sort of in limbo and not officially a United player yet.I expect he has, it's just not been announced yet.
Bit harsh on your wife
I assumed most deals included addons.I can't remeber many past deals that had add ons, it seems to be a very new thing. Either that or they weren't reported on the players valuation.
If any of those add ons are PL win or Champs League win then they're well worth it to secure a signing.
Because mourinho was going to chelsea.Says he's dreamed of playing for Mourinho since he was 10 years old. It's incredible how influential a manager can be when a player decides who to sign for. Mourinho was the right man to replace Sir Alex, I don't know how our board didn't see it and went for Moyes.
ESPN has done an interview with Lukaku yesterday

Good to see that we have put the Chelski rent boys in their place.'best club in England, best stadium, best fans.'
Fixed with spoonful of salt.I can't believe they are actually going to sign this donkey. Feck my life.
ESPN is a major US Network. If they're taking an interest why wouldn't we let them get the exclusive and therefore greater exposure/coverage in the lucrative US market. Makes more sense than insisting it's all on MUTV.Isn't it odd that he gave his first interview to ESPN?
Wonder if United knew about that, because MUTV always get the exclusive first interview
Agreed. And with the impending Tour, it makes most sense!ESPN is a major US Network. If they're taking an interest why wouldn't we let them get the exclusive and therefore greater exposure/coverage in the lucrative US market. Makes more sense than insisting it's all on MUTV.
We've been doing it for ages. Rooney's transfer from Everton to us back in 2004 for example: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/2385923/United-get-their-man-as-Rooney-signs-27m-deal.htmlI can't remeber many past deals that had add ons, it seems to be a very new thing. Either that or they weren't reported on the players valuation.

When Utd bought Ferdinand it included add-ons. Unusually the two clubs then agreed to settle the add-ons as a capital payment. For illustration purposes only, Utd may have been liable to pay up to £10m over the course of the contract, but payed £5m to Leeds to settle this liability. Clearly Leeds required the money at the time.I can't remeber many past deals that had add ons, it seems to be a very new thing. Either that or they weren't reported on the players valuation.

In terms of revenue and fans worldwide, we are. We might not be the best, far from it, but we are still, along with Madrid, the biggest name in football imo.The "biggest club in the world" spiel again. Does Woody instruct every new player to say this?
How it's misplaced loyalty, or how it's our biggest problem? I'm going to assume it's the former, and it's misplaced because your employer going around breaking the rules is hardly behaviour which should be encouraged, or do you think otherwise? The thought that he owes the club something because they blatantly disregarded rules regarding transfers (no less) and recruitment on numerous occasions is ridiculous. How is that again?
No. "Initial 75m"Didn't the BBC say that it was £75m including add-ons anyway?
What's wrong with a bit of gloating we just bamboodozeled chelski in this signing, they were still cling on threads in denial till the last minute. And we are he biggest club IN THE WORLD!The "biggest club in the world" spiel again. Does Woody instruct every new player to say this?
Wonder how Chelsea fans feel about these remarks. Ultimate trolling.Worked for me, in the UK.
"Why Manchester United?"
"It's the biggest club in the World.....best stadium in England, best fans in England"
He knows what to say
The 24-year-old striker is set to sign for United for an initial £75m, despite former club Chelsea matching the bid.No. "Initial 75m"
