Shambles from madrid. By selling Alonso they don't have a proper holding midfielder. They sold the guy that was the engine mostly up and often down in midfield last season and replaced him with a 22 year old big money signing that probably will take time adjusting if he truly does. I can't really see any area where they've improved this season. They've signed kroos but already had modric.

I don't actually blame Madrid for selling Alonso because he does seem like he's on his last legs but they definitely needed to replace him if Ancelotti has no faith in Illaramendi.

Yup. Instead, with Khedira out in the mid/long-term, they loaned out their only other viable option in a holding role to Porto. Squad planning isn't high up Uncle Flo's priority list. And their upcoming fixtures aren't exactly a breeze either, Depor (A), where they have a woeful record in recent times; Elche (H), easy enough; Villarreal (A), drew there last season though deserved to lose; Athletic (H), usually a thrashing but the Basques' form in 2014 has been pretty great. After that an away trip to Levante who finally look ripe for relegation this season and then of course el Clásico at the Bernábeu, impossible to call at this point.

Incredible that Madrid have conceded the highest number of goals in La Liga this season. That's what happens when you don't play with a defensive minded manager.

Ahhh the good ol' Real Madrid soap opera starts early this season. Love it.

Do you reckon it will top barcas one last year? I would say that will take some doing tbh. Hopefully dads can be kept out of it this time :p.

Hang on, why is Casillas back in goal for Real?

Lopez replaced him under Jose and Ancelotti stuck with him, then they sell him and bring in one of the Spanish leagues best keepers last season... only for Casillas to be reinstated as no.1 despite a horrendous World Cup performance.

Another bizarre one to go with selling Di Maria and Ozil.

He's still Spain's number 1 as well. Bizarre indeed.

Should have been dropped a long time ago. Valdes was better than him in the league for a good three years and he remained in goal. Used to have a great selection of keepers, surprised De Gea isn't number one yet.

Neymar? He's happier than a kid at Christmas. Well, they're not, unfortunately. The spoiled brats are pissed off at their daddy. They want new toys!

If he sacks Carlo for his own feck ups, I'm 100% sure that's his last move and he'll follow a week after.
You don't sack the manager who won you the CL in his first season after a bad few games into the season because some massive babboon just sold 2 of your 3 midfield starters. He knows he's in deep shit right now, doing something rash like that is basically signing your own p45.

Navas should start ahead of Casillas, though I'm sure that's what most people feel anyways.

Yep, you don't buy a fantastic keeper like that to post him on the bench.

My guess is that Perez is making sure Casillas is getting gametime this season because they'll both be out by the summer. If they make it that long in the first place.
Been a great keeper (not captain) for us but it's time to move aside or move on. His captaincy has never really been healthy. He could learn a thing or two from is predecessor () who had much bigger stars around him, but half as much dressing room bullshit.

If rumours are true, Raul will be our new sporting director soon. I hope by that time he'll have another boss above him or his job will be pointless.

Yeah can't imagine the fans will be happy if Perez does sack Carlo, barring a catastrophe. It's just that when it comes to Perez, even the impossible seems possible with him. Selling Di Maria might rank as one of the worst pieces of business since Alonso at Liverpool. The entire United fanbase thanks Perez the lunatic. Must be frustrating as a Madrid fan to see your president act like a spoilt kid wanting new toys every year.

That would be me, altough I don't see the reason for name calling here. I still have an unreal amount of respect for what he did for us over the years, let that be clear. The man has won everything there is to win for club and country while arguably being the best keeper in the world for some time.

He deserves a lot of respect for that. I don't think he has turned into a shit keeper overnight either, like some are making out to fit whatever agenda they have. It's just that now we have a better goalie than him sitting on the bench.

Are you sure? I think it was a barca fan as he hated mourinho and kept praising casillas for his work with the national team not madrid. Plus, I found the hypebola in his praise a bit too much.

He was one of the best keepers but has been shit for a long while now, mourinho was right to drop him when he did.

The thing is, we'll probably get a massive clown or a corrupt gimp like one of our rivals had last year and we'll all be crying for Florentino to return again in no time to begin his galactico v3 cycle. Hope I'm wrong but it wouldn't even surprise me anymore.

Oh, you were talking about Malapapper I think, either him or Proud Lyon. Really thought it was directed at me altough I don't really went around calling him San Iker. No offense taken then, the enemy of my enemy is my friend. ;)

 Exactly.Specially since you sold us di maria.

I wouldnt have said a retard if I was talking about you . You are quite reasonable and objective for a fan anyway.

I think it was malapapper although PL was prone to bouts of hyperbola as well.

Might be wrong but as far as I've heard there's a real lack of rivals for presidency because of the funding requirements for the position, so I think you're stuck with Pérez for a while...

Only a club like Madrid can break up an European winning squad who was also very very close to win a treble if not for some weird results in la Liga. Shambles all around from Florentino.

Kroos and James are very good players but not as "functional" as Alonso & Di Maria. Kroos needs someone who does the donkey work behind him and James is also an elegant player but doesn't have the workrate of Angel.

 So once again, like barca fans last year. Its funny you calling Madrid fans spoilt when barca fans get upset when their team is not even playing a certain way and vented their frustration last season by booing messi and also fabregas (your new toy who barca fans got fed up with despite your club making so much noise about him being part of barcas DNA and how he was made for you), racially abusing neymar and alves and booing the team followed by chants implying that the players are only interested in money. Don't get me wrong, Madrid fans and the club are no better. Except the difference is you will never see me imply we are and try to take the moral high ground or mock other clubs for doing the exact same things that we do or in some cases very similar. My post was a joke by the way, hence the :p. Still though, I find it amusing you laugh at Madrid for the same things your own club does (ie being a circus, having spoilt fans etc). If you cannot laugh about it, by all means keep it up.

As a follower of Atletico Madrid (my 2nd team behind United as such) I was very happy about the result on Saturday and the Real Madrid 'crisis', I don't think Atleti will win the league again but have a very serious chance of coming 2nd.

In regards to Real, I just think Florentino got it all wrong this Summer, Bringing in James just didn't make any sense, Yes he did have a good World Cup but to pay what they did for him on the basis of 1 good tournament was just outrageous, He done ok at Monaco but he wasn't even a World Class player there, to sacrifice Di Maria for him was even more stupid (Love it from a United perspective though).

The Alonso sale came out of nowhere and seemed a very odd decision (although if you believe certain Spanish gossip media there was a personal reason for it), and the signing of Kroos to play in that role was never going to work, Illa is really going to have to step up now, But by already admitting he is suffering with anxiety about playing for Real I wouldn't hold my breath too much on that one.

What's going to be interesting is to see how the current state of things fares out with Cristiano, Having watched Di Maria leave, your agent at war with Perez and a defeat to your city rivals, Even the most bias of Real fans must be slightly worried about his future

The latest Marca stat is that of the last 7 shots on target, 6 have been goals :D Which by any standards is something statistically freaky.

It's tempting to blame Casillas, and certainly a fair few fans at the Bernabeu booed him on Saturday, but they aren't goalkeeping errors as such. It's more that Casillas has come to symbolise a particular kind of complacency and politics within the club

Benzema has scored only 2 of Real Madrid's last 43 goals in all competitions.

:) Lighten up mate. You know which club is known to be a circus and an unstable environment. Your examples pale in comparison since most of them are not even true or vented by a majority, just singular actions by idiots. Besides, my main point regards the players dressing room and Perez's clowning. You know that a year doesn't pass by where we don't hear about these clashes in the dressing room. As big an idiot and scum Rosell is, we already knew he was a corrupt bastard since Laporta's days. It was no surprise. Another year or 2 and Bartomeu will follow him.

Those are anti-Perez banners, and they relate to commercial and footballing issues. They are not banners asking for new players - they didn't want the old ones sold.
I know they are. That was the point.

Noooobody wanted to listen to me when I said that Kroos is just a very specific answer to a very specific question :) He's probably the best answer to this question, but still. They need to drop one of Rodriguez, Modric or Kroos asap. But then they will rely on Khedira entirely because they haven't really got any DM's left and even he is more of a box-to-box player, albeit a defensivly strong one.
