Would you be happy to see Jose Mourinho become next United manager?

I was pretty cock-sure he was coming. My confidence in this is beginning to be a tad undermined.

Life of a ruddy fan eh?
I have not lost any confidence.
My confidence grows by the day and I am 99.6% sure, its a done deal.
Jose is acting too relaxed and smug about the MUFC link and his next job. Even MUFC have not denied the Jose rumour.
Yesterday, E.Woodward had the perfect platform to announce that with the help of LVG, next year will be a huge success...but he didn't.
It was also stated that if this next season we have no CL football AND the one after that, our sponsorship income from Adidas will see a 30% reduction. With that much money on the line, you cannot risk having LVG around.
LVG is the only guy who is saying that 5th place is enough for him to continue managing at MUFC. Any sane person would know that that is totally unacceptable.

I will therefore quote another poster:

Man up. Jose is coming and it's going to be fecking glorious.

Don't give me this vain crap about wanting "a better brand of football" or "we don't have to play like barcelona every week". If anything, you do not have the patience for either. You are just waiting to nitpick about every little thing he says or does. If anything, our style of play has been lot better in the last month since december. But don't let that stop you from moaning on and on...
Ah sure why don't we give him a contract extension then and forget about the shit from the other 18 months

Van Gaal won't be at United next season, and I think this is mostly based on the disappointing style of football that we've been heavily criticized for.
With poor results on top of that, and a poor showing in the CL and PL, Van Gaal has quite obviously come up short of expectations.
The reason the club have been quiet about it, is because I think they wanted the club to have a good go at qualifying for the champions league this year, which miraculously we're still in the race for it.
Swansea have hit form, and could turn city over. If they do, and we win, Van Gaal would have redeemed himself quite a lot with such a shit squad. But not enough to keep his job, because he assembled the shit squad, and got them playing a dreadful style that simply can't continue next year.
I don't think there are many players who will want to sign for us if Van Gaal is still here, and some sponsors may think twice. And the board knows that most fans will be miffed.
I still think the Mourinho deal has been done, but we'll find out once and for all in a week or two.

Who has not been awful all season other than De Gea, Martial, and Smalling ? Also, hasn't Schweinsteiger been injured for a good chunk of his time here ?

Cleverley was clearly not good enough to play here which is why he was moved on. And by good enough, I don't mean compared to any of our current midfielders, but rather compared with the calibre of players we should be buying.
The fact that the chunky BFS has been injured most of the time probably makes his argument stronger!

Yes it's draining and creating a lot of angst and anger amongst fans. I care about Mou coming but at this point I just want VG gone. I still want us to win but his continued presence, at least for me, dampens my enthusiasm for whether we get 4th or win the FA cup. It's just been so negative.

Come on guys. Guys managing the Adidas twitter isn't going to know anything.

They are saying how pleased they are to see Mourinho in an adidas shirt.

Keeps my mind off how shit LVG and our season has been. Counting the days until he is gone. Don't care who replaces him as long as he goes.

This guy talks a lot of rubbish tbh
The guy also has a lot of contacts at United and often has ex United players on his podcast/radio show etc

Not saying he is "in the know" at all but not everyone who says anything about Jose, United etc talks rubbish like many on here say.

He's more reliable than Sky about the goings on at United.
I know he has some contacts, but there is also a reason he was banned from the transfer tweets thread last summer.
Btw I think we have a deal in place for Mourinho, I was just highlighting this guy likes to rant and talk crap on twitter about United a lot of which is rubbish

He was banned for his anti-Glazer rants.

He's saying what they want to be true, therefore he's right.

Just like all the media that has been a million miles behind every move United have made for the past 4 transfer windows will suddenly become as reliable as they come when they link Player X to the club over the summer.

Sanctity, like a cat, abhors filth.
I reckon Sky know perfectly well he's coming, but have been instructed to keep a lid on it for now, and are towing the line in order to protect their longer term relationship, or in exchange for some specific scoop in coming weeks. Whereas Sky Italy have no reason to play along with this pretence of not knowing.
