Coutinho going wouldnt be as bad as Suarez leaving unfortunately. Still should be good for a few days poetry slammin and melancholic nonsese on how the game is all about money
Agreed.

Coutinho isn't half the player Suarez is. He's probably the most overrated player in the league. Goes missing 2 out of every 3 games.

Not to point out the obvious but if fans of a club are bragging that the wages of a potential new signing of their rivals are too high then it's probably a good sign that they're really, really worried about it.
I mean seriously, who gives a flying feck how much Liverpool are paying Coutinho or City are paying Aguero?

600k a week before add-ons? nice. That puts him on par with Martial's make an effort to smile after scoring to keep Scholes happy clause

Ibra on 300k a week isn't even a bad deal. That's £15m over the year, so effectively 150k a week and a £7.5m transfer fee for the year (the same as a £30m player on a 4 year deal). Bargain really, if he plays well.

The way that RAWK obsessively overstate the wages and transfer fees of our players is a hoot. I can only imagine their fishing stories about the one that got away "was as big as yer arm la..."

It is a true reflection of how much they loath us and envy our status. With Jose on board I can only imagine that next season's meltdown will be a bumper catch..

RAWK goes into meltown 2016/2017 - we are gonna need a bigger boat...

Sure you remember it right? The one which springs to mind is this:

Sorry, not that one. The face close-up is the exact same one but the background is a still image of Pool fans leaving a WBA game early losing 2-0 or something. Thanks anyway.

Philippe Coutinho hit a hat-trick as Brazil coasted to a 7-1 Copa America Group B victory over Haiti in Orlando.

Thats another percieved 5 million for the cap and 5 million per goal added to the asking price £277,461,833 .

He got that hat trick against Haiti?

FFS, the way my friends on Facebook were going on I thought it would be against a reputable team.

Yes, although the quality of the visions weren't always the best.

To be fair, we've only had 2 truly visionary/world class managers in our history (so far).
Like others have said.

Bob Paisley.

Off the top of my head six Championships and three European Cups ( only manager in history to do the latter ) in nine years. Not to mention other trophies to.

I'd say no because those who followed Shankly were probably tasked with maintaining the fantastic work he had done, not being truly visionary as such. The foundations (can we use that word on the caf again?) had been laid, just build on them.
I see your point but off the top of my head only Callaghan , Smith and Clemence were Shankly players when we won the European Cup in Rome in 1977. Bob Paisley waz the manager from 1974 and won the Championship and UEFA in 1976 after a barren first season. Not bad at all. I think Thompson was a Shankly player come to think of it. Shit. Keegan was to. Not looking good all of a sudden this is it ?

Ray Kennedy to I think but Paisley switched him from a forward to Midfielder.
