I'm sure we've paid Mendes quite a few bucks over the years so can't see problem paying Raiola as well. Necessary evil of some sorts. We wont know this exactly. Another reliable journalist a few hours back tweeted that it was in fact Juventus paying that amount.
No. I wrote white text. Go see.You said no white text? I wasnt being sarcastic.
If it's not the day though, a lot of people including myself will be doubting again as all of our eggs are in the Italian journalist basket right now. Nothing from BBC, The Telegraph ect. I'll suspect bullshit.Well seeing as we were told yesterday Pogba would be signed in 48 hours tomorrow would be the day I guess.
Thats a weird post. They're mediocre at best, so why should we accept that if we're claiming to be the biggest club in the world?
Would Carrick or Fletcher get in the Barca, Real or Bayern midfield? Not a chance, so why should we be happy with the likes of them?
Maybe it's Miami Ohio.Miami? The one that's bigger than Manchester?
Someone needs to show this to Woody. Make it happen internet!
Haha Carrick mediocre, at least we know you know nothing about football. Ignore function has never been more apt hereThey're mediocre at best, so why should we accept that if we're claiming to be the biggest club in the world?

Yeah better to spend it on Wij, Mane and Benteke insteadhttp://www.givemesport.com/835461-j...clubs-spending-100m-on-one-player?autoplay=on
Klopp thinks we are silly to spend so much on one player![]()
Don't you mean Sir Woody of the Muppets?Someone needs to show this to Woody. Make it happen internet!
Miami University at Oxford do have sports teams though, you may be on to something.Maybe it's Miami Ohio.
The others is mainly Di Marzio. That was when the story initially broke. Doesn't Romano work for/with Di Marzio anyway? It's more likely that they would have got a more accurate figure as time passed since the initial Di Marzio article.Others are saying his cut comes out of the €110m.
At the end of the day who gives a feck?
He is just worried about him costing so much and getting injured...He doesn't really say that though.
He is trying to say its not okay to spend £100m on one player but its okay to buy three players that cost £100m in total.I don't really understand what Klopp is trying to say. I don't think he understands it himself.
I was impressed with what I saw of Mane v Chelsea tbf.Yeah better to spend it on Wij, Mane and Benteke instead
Liverpool just can't attract world class players is their problem. Poor Kloppy
Yeah I was just replying to the tweet that guy posted,it easy to say its tomorrow after the 48 hours announcement yesterday,If it's not the day though, a lot of people including myself will be doubting again as all of our eggs are in the Italian journalist basket right now. Nothing from BBC, The Telegraph ect. I'll suspect bullshit.
He tries to sound cool. Tries.I don't really understand what Klopp is trying to say. I don't think he understands it himself.
Impressed enough to spend £32m on him?I was impressed with what I saw of Mane v Chelsea tbf.
I'm not gonna argue with you about the money, your view is entirely reasonable, but just to pick up on the bit in bold, the club do a hell of a lot in that regard and should really publicise it much more than they do.The others is mainly Di Marzio. That was when the story initially broke. Doesn't Romano work for/with Di Marzio anyway? It's more likely that they would have got a more accurate figure as time passed since the initial Di Marzio article.
With regards to who gives a feck, I do, other fans will. Heck SAF gave enough of a feck to write about Hazard's agent demanding £8m as being obscene in his autobiography. Paying an agent €20m is disgusting and sends out the wrong message about our club to other agents. €20m isn't short change to the club either, they drag our players all over the world on preseason and those games accumulate at most the amount we've just reportedly paid Raiola. I would much rather the club I support was sensible with its money and looked at rewarding the fans, investing more into the local community etc.
Anyway I'm in a tiny minority with this view so I'll make this my last contribution to this thread.
And also something about passing the ball because football is a team sport? Earth-shattering revelations. He is trying to say its not okay to spend £100m on one player but its okay to buy three players that cost £100m in total.
Not to pile on (you said you didn't think much about it, so no problem), but even if other teams wouldn't lend their facilities, the Glazers own an NFL team with top of the line facilities that is just a couple of hundred miles away from Miami (4 hours by car, probably an hour and half in that Lamborghini that Pogs was driving around in, and less than an hour by plane).Yeah but I still don't see why other sports team would lend their facilities or staff to other teams (except for the ones with shared owners). Point still stand it may be easier to schedule a time in a larger city. Anyway, the post was not too well thought of I do admit that, and it's getting late. I'll take my shame![]()
yes. But one player can be a huge difference to a team. tbh only Mourinho will know how important Pogba will be to us. He is willing to spend that money for him.He is trying to say its not okay to spend £100m on one player but its okay to buy three players that cost £100m in total.
I won't be able to sleep tonight, Klopp will walk away"Klopp has vowed to walk away from football if the sport becomes more about spending money on the world’s best players and less about building a great team spirit."
He is aware that he joined a BPL team right? This league hasn't been about football for a long time.
That has been happening for years with Madrid, now we're getting into the action and he wants to walk away, knowing he can't compete with Liverpool"Klopp has vowed to walk away from football if the sport becomes more about spending money on the world’s best players and less about building a great team spirit."
He is aware that he joined a BPL team right? This league hasn't been about football for a long time.
He should walk away then. Cause football has become more about spending money."Klopp has vowed to walk away from football if the sport becomes more about spending money on the world’s best players and less about building a great team spirit."
He is aware that he joined a BPL team right? This league hasn't been about football for a long time.
I think Klopp was trying to say 'its no biggie if they sign a player for £100m because in football, the team who gets team spirit right etc can still put up a fight and win titles. If football was the sort of sport where money directly translated to success and there was no way of finding a means to success without it, he would walk away from the game'.He is trying to say its not okay to spend £100m on one player but its okay to buy three players that cost £100m in total.
He's really a hipster, isn't he. Sounds like a high school student."Klopp has vowed to walk away from football if the sport becomes more about spending money on the world’s best players and less about building a great team spirit."

So tedious. Was he threatening to quit when Real signed Ronaldo and Bale or Barcelona Suarez and Neymar?"Klopp has vowed to walk away from football if the sport becomes more about spending money on the world’s best players and less about building a great team spirit."
He is aware that he joined a BPL team right? This league hasn't been about football for a long time.
He is just pissed off he made the decision to return too soon to football. Im confident if both Klopp and Mou would have been available we would have approached Klopp first.I won't be able to sleep tonight, Klopp will walk awayDamn it Ed, you made the man cry.
strangely it does not seem crazy after all the sums mentioned for players. Its all relative.Impressed enough to spend £32m on him?
I really don't think too much about it, how can one think too much about such things when Pogba is returning home. Not to pile on (you said you didn't think much about it, so no problem), but even if other teams wouldn't lend their facilities, the Glazers own an NFL team with top of the line facilities that is just a couple of hundred miles away from Miami (4 hours by car, probably an hour and half in that Lamborghini that Pogs was driving around in, and less than an hour by plane).
Also, teams lend their facilities to soccer/football teams all the time when they are in the US on these tours. In fact, the owner of the Miami Dolphins owns the International Champions Cup that we have participated in the last 3 years, and which they'll definitely want us to participate in during future pre-seasons. With the draw that we are for that tournament, especially after the mess in China, I think he would bend over backwards to help us.
Fair enough, I just feel that a club our size should and could always do more. I dunno maybe I'm living in the past but this is the sort of transfer that we used to looked down at the Madrid circus for, but here we are. A part of my grievence with this transfer is the fact that I know that many loyal life long fans got priced out of seeing their team play, all for a few million more in match day revenue each season but now we'll go and waste money on transfers like it's going out of fashion.I'm not gonna argue with you about the money, your view is entirely reasonable, but just to pick up on the bit in bold, the club do a hell of a lot in that regard and should really publicise it much more than they do.
Not really. Leicester proved anything but last year. If it was all about money, we'd be in the Champions League and winning it every year the amount we have spent in recent years. He should walk away then. Cause football has become more about spending money.
I was being sarcastic because they spent £35m on Benteke, £32m on Sane and £25m on Wijnaldum.I think Klopp was trying to say 'its no biggie if they sign a player for £100m because in football, the team who gets team spirit right etc can still put up a fight and win titles. If football was the sort of sport where money directly translated to success and there was no way of finding a means to success without it, he would walk away from the game'.
