To be fair, before Gundogans injuries, I wouldn't say he was any worse than Pogba. Pogba is the better player now but Gundogan is a really good player when on form and Pep will be very good for him. Football is not just about stats. Pogba has so much more to his game. If you go by stats, Vieira scored like 5 goals a season which with your own yardstick would not make him a good player.

No but Yaya was playing in an excellent team that had been developed over a number of years. I don't really see the comparison right now and Pogba is only 23 so let's see how he develops, right now I don't see a comparison with anybody but his talent is clearly evident.

Well he managed 8 goals 12 assists in Serie A last season, and Juventus are a level above any other side in the league. He was also very settled there and arguably it's a weaker league than the Prem.
