Both were good passes. Doesn't take away that he has two assists, and it should stop the bullshit logic of Rashford starting.
Rashford has had enough good games itself, no reason to trash the kid all the time.

Awkward laughter at being asked if he's 'settled now.' I take that as a blatant 'I could have been playing weeks ago'.

He's like Mata on steroids. Has a great eye for a pass and flicks, superb technique, intelligent movement, pacy and can dribble.

One of the most complete attackers I've ever seen.

The whole caf has been crying out for this guy and Martial on the wings. Cant beleive its taken this long but hopefully Jose will stick with this in the league from here on.
Rashford Lingard and Mata behind Zlatan on the weekend :)

Needs to start imo. It has to be that front four except Mata in for Rooney.

His link up play with other players at times is outstanding, as if he's known them for years. We've got a serious player here if he can stay right.

The way he dribbles and releases the ball looks almost like Hazard.
That's actually a really good shout - he definitely lacks the explosiveness of Hazard but he has a similar litheness in terms of build and style.

I really don't want to get too excited as I think this is how we should be playing at home and its only the league cup. Why can't we do this in the league. We seem to play the same but not score as many. I really hope now Mkhi can get a start and be the turnkey for us and finish off what we have been missing thus far

Loves a pass from the outside of his foot, all weighted to perfection

Yep. I didn't realise how good his passing was. I mean I knew he could make a lot of assists but his overall passing game is impressive.

"You feel a lot more settled now in English football?"
"[awkward stare, then proceeds to smile it off] Eeeeehhh yes... I do...."

I interpret that response as "I haven't changed and wanted to play long ago but I'll pretend like not featuring the last couple of months has helped me to get used to the Prem"

No one is trashing him. He just doesn't deserve to start on the wing. Most his performances have been largely ineffective.

Seriously impressive performance from him. He injects pace, directness (hello one touch passing where have you been since 2013!) and unpredictability that we have sorely missed for years.

He's turned the corner, proved he can perform here, and will get lots more game time now. Excited to see more of him.

Thought he played really well, but it's easy to see he hasn't settled in quite yet as hes a bit all over the shop at times.

Once he settles in though, i expect him to make one of those wing spots his own. His movement is second to none in our team
Hes played in a different team every time. Unfamiliar players will make anyone look unsettled.

He's starting to build an understanding with the usual players, Rooney, Ibra.
Itll come.

He could be what Di Maria promised to be without delivering here. A not that flashy version of a winger, but at the same time devoid of the limp element.

he was always good, even better. At the peak of his fitness. Mourinho sacked him to play later so he can claim he made the man better.lol

Superb, superb player. Far better than Lingard. I also think that now it's time to sell Memphis, he won't play anymore and is behind about 6 players in the pecking order on the wings.

Absolute class. He picks the right pass in forward areas every time and put chances on a plate for his team mates. I can't ever see us struggling to score with him on the pitch for the full 90 minutes.

I just hope Jose now sticks with him and gives him a starting spot every week. If he is dropped for Everton Jose needs his head tested.

That I disagree with and it's a lot of hindsight at this point. We dominated games offensively and he contributed to it. That's all that matters. We didn't lack chances when he played on the wing, we simply didn't put them away. Win some of these games and people speak differently about him.

He had his best performance for us today. Very positive. I hope he can improve.

On the negative side, he was asleep at the middle of the park for the WH goal, which left Tony against two players. He has to improve on his defensive work.

If it wasnt for De Geas mistake that would never have gone in

I expect to him to elevate us to a different level from now on.

Having watched him play since his Shakhtar days, believe me guys, there's much more to come.
