I'm happy with his selfishness in those instances where he ignores, the good running by other players and the space opens up in the middle, for a direct shot at an open goal, but he has to get a better shot away or really test the keeper in those situations.

Should be scoring more but then he helps out so much with the build up play. Catch 22. Hopefully Martial, Miki and others pick up more goals to offset that.

Best game he's had by some distance.

But...

I thought West Ham were very poor - much poorer than Sunday. And although we were constantly dangerous, I thought they were as well. Agenda-wise, I still think he brings a lot of baggage that doesn't help.

Put it this way, if a top team brings their 'A game' with a good attitude & plenty of workrate, they are going to walk all over us. If you want to finish 5th/6th & see Z score a few goals, then that's fine, carry on. The team isn't going to be any better than that with Zlatan in it. (see also Rooney, Carrick, Jones/Rojo at CB)

My opinion, sweeping generalisations & conclusions content therein, is quite high, obviously.

Love him to bits. People will continue to moan but his contribution to the team is immense. Love how he comfortably wins those headers and is immense when it comes to keeping hold of the ball. Like someone pointed out, with Rooney, Martial, Mkhi, Mata Pogba running around him, he can relax and feed balls to them. No complaints after yesterday's game. Needs a big game in the PL to get his confidence up.

I hope he gets better but so far he has been disappointing. He has missed more chances than Arsenal wenger in the transfer market.

I feel he enjoys playing with Martial and Mihki. When he drops deep, Martial always finds himself in the box. When we play with Rashford and Lingard, many times when Zlatan drops deep, the box is completely empty.

Blind is a goal opportunity (against) a game mate even when sub!
Zlatan was gesturing at who was supposed to be marking the bald guy. I don't think it was supposed to be him. Strikers who defend corners usually defend the near post zone, like Van Persie used to do. So, did Blind lose his man, and then managed to feck up the header as well?

Interesting. He's scored a decent amount of goals thus far but he's still missing plenty of opportunities. Even last night he fluffed one not long after his first goal.

Would he be best as a false 9 dropping deeper to allow the wingers run in ahead of him on goal?

Eh? It's just me but the thought of Blind both losing his man and missing a simple header was kind of funny to me.

The pass leading up to Martial's second was wonderful. He's such a complete footballer.

I don't know if it was just a coincidental thing. He had me screaming at him when he simply refused to pass to Mkhi in the first half when he was in acres of space on the right, even Rooney was ignoring the poor Armenian at times

Having watched 90% of our games this year, I have to say that Zlatan is one of the most influential players on the field for us every game. I think his quality has been very high and he's one of if not the most important players on the pitch for us this year. He is so good at holding the ball up, distributing it as well as coming back into space and collecting the ball, and then making something happen. he's always looking to attack and his passing and touch is so good. With a little more luck he could have 3 or 4 more goals this season. I'm so glad we have him.

He is a striker, they are taught to be selfish, sometimes it is not the right thing but I am ok with it.

@Wumminator taking it on the chin.

In some ways it's smart to bet an insurance bet against your team/players because even if you lose, you win.
A few years ago I lost out on a substantial amount of money betting on an accumulator and saving it till the last game when United needed to beat Burnley.

I will never bet on United again.

How the feck does he have 11 goals after that drought he was on? If he goes on a run he could have 15/16 by Christmas.
He seems to have the league sussed, just needs to get his shots off a bit earlier.

He's really involved in the games and brings others into play. We seem to click more and more and so does he, now if he can be sharper infront of the goal he will hit 25 goals and we move up the table
