Pretty sure some posters were calling for his sale in January just a few weeks back. Very impressive, and must be certain to start now.

His vision, positional awareness of teammates positions and his off the ball movement is spectacular. MOTM yet again.

Any guesses for why it took so long for him to find form? Good thing it's finally starting to work out between him and Utd because he might be the key to top 4.

We need to use him more because this guy makes things happen. Fantastic run and finish for his goal today.

Really good to see him step it uo since getting back into the team. Shows a strong mentality. Good on him.

Well he's not exactly had a lot of playing time to get into form. Sadly top four is a bit of a pipe dream at this point though.

Maybe because he wasn't played at all for months?

Another classy performance that was topped off with a sprinkle of stardust on that goal, magic!

Purely because he wasn't getting in the mds for 4-5 games despite being fit.

It was very difficult to see a way back from that, luckily it wasn't a Cuadrado type situation and it, touch wood, looks like ending well.

Glad he scored that goal. I've been scoring identical ones with him on Fifa.

Manchester Utd never lose, just run out of time

He was injured, then came back against City and had an absolutely shocking game where he just couldn't handle the pace of the game or the pressing that City were doing. Then he got injured again, and when he was fit it was right in the middle of us playing the likes of Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea and City again. After his experience in the first City match, I fully understand and largely agree with Mourinho not wanting to throw him in again in those matches.

I would have liked him to start getting games as soon as that period ended, but Jose kept him out of the firing line another three or four games before finally starting to give him opportunities.

Hopefully nobody goes digging for my earlier posts in this thread from about a month back. I'm delighted to have been spectacularly wrong when stating categorically that he wouldn't make an impact after being left out game after game. At least I didn't say he was a shit player though, so there's that

He's fantastic to watch when on song, very smooth on the ball, and absolutely amazing movement without it.

this highlights how ridiculous the caf is at times. we bought bundesliga's player of the year and for some reason he didn't walk straight into the starting 11 like he should've, came on for a few cameos in which he looked lively and his technique a cut above the rest, suddenly was thrown in the deep end for the derby, when mourinho was still trying to find his best team, a team that had fellaini, lingard and off form rooney as starters, and non-surprisingly had a bad game. Was frozen out since that match with no substantial or concrete reason given but somehow some posters managed to find "he's shit" or "get him gone in jan" out of that ridiculous situation.

cant wait for Martial to catch some form on the other wing and Mata to set them constantly up from no10 position:drool: Probably the best technician in the team with the Spanish bromance on it too

I'd be surprised if anyone was actually calling for him to be sold rather than assuming he was going to be.

From the official page:

"Jose Mourinho admits he is "very pleased" that Henrikh Mkhitaryan is off the mark for Manchester United after the Armenian scored his first goal for the club on his return to Ukraine.

The former Shakhtar Donetsk star dribbled through the Zorya Luhansk defence to open the scoring on an icy pitch in the second half in Odessa and Zlatan Ibrahimovic's late clincher set the seal on a victory that takes the Reds through to the knockout stages of the Europa League.

"It was a strong mentality," said the boss when asked about Mkhitaryan's attitude. "He was determined to fight against his difficult adaptation.

"He worked hard physically and tactically - the talent was there, we knew that when we bought him. Now he's playing good - in the Premier League, Europa League and EFL Cup, and now the goal means a little more happiness for him, so I'm very pleased."

When people criticise people like Mourinho you have to think the squad he's inherited, but he's brought in Bailly an absolute beast, Mhkitaryan who's really starting to find his form, Zlatan top scorer and Pogba... sorting out the squad and good things to come from Mkhi.

Henrikh 'Kaka' Mkhitaryan
Great comparison, never thought about that before. Obviously he's not as good as prime Kaka but his movement, pace dribbling is really similar to Kaka.
