True, but now he can't even score either.

He had chances and took too long to pull the trigger.
Tbh he'd have probably scored at the end but it was just a stunning block by Lucas. He might be awful all game but he'll not lose his goal scoring touch. Once Madrid start creating enough for him, he'll be back scoring.

This is how he plays in recent years. He just usually masks the performances with a hat trick or two.
Careful, Peyroteo is gonna spam you down with his green smileys if you continue with such statements.

Well that's another problem, Modric isn't getting younger and Bale won't be starting many games in the future, Benzema can start his decline too.

It's bollocks that Ceballos does great and scores a hattrick this week with the U-21 and doesn't get a single minute today

Modric, Ronaldo, Bale, Ramos - RM got some heavy purchases to make in the immediate future replacing all those. With the post-Neymar influx in prices it won't come cheap.

Isco has the potential to be the best in the world in a few years but he loves the ball too much, constantly takes longer than what he needs and plays the wrong final ball. I'd gladly watch 90 minutes of him just dribbling the ball but he needs to be more effective with it to take an extra step.
@carvajal beat me to it

I agree ,and I think that
before it was much worse, but is gradually correcting it,what has helped to reach this level
He looked awful today? He's playing much better than he was at the same time last season, just missing the goals.
He's been really poor tonight. Not as poor as the useless "Gato", which i just don't understand why the feck Zidane keeps playing him when he's so clearly out of form

we're also apparently no longer getting the rub of the green with the refs FFS(that handball by juanfran :()

all in all result was fair. Just not good enough from us. More to the point we keep looking spent, i dunno why. No energy whatsoever

Said during HT it has 0-0 written all over it.

Madrid Derby is one of the most boring derbies imo.

Mate, this isn't twitter or whatever you think it is. I'm sorry you took such offense I laughed at a completely ridiculous statement you made two days ago. Do you think you can live with it or are you going to be holding it against me for years?

You want to get promoted? Join the discussion and argue your points instead of making stupid comments like that.

We need to replace the strikers and get a CB and maybe a LB if Theo doesn't work out. Rest is covered

First time for me to see the league table. Didn't know it's that bad, Madrid are closer to 5th place than even the 2nd.

it has to be said, Barca have done a great job on closing down on Madrid's la liga trophies record in last 15 years. if they win it this season, they will have 8 titles less than Madrid and they already have the most copa del rey trophies, as well as the most spanish super cup trophies. if Messi signs that contract and stay, I can see Barca winning another 3 or 4 la liga titles before Madrid wins their next one.

Everytime I look at the table I "lose it", everyone says that we're playing poorly, yet we're +29, twice the GD of Real.

Don't worry, "mate", you are the last person for me to get offended by, it's just you are the ridiculous one, not my statements.

In regards to promotion, I am fine where I am for now and I will join the discussion when there's one worth joining. Also, you are not the one to talk about stupid comments. Thanks for the concern, though.

That's a lot of signings. Same for us. We need to replace Iniesta and Rakitic and maybe Suarez and the rest is covered. Not that simple. You had Morata who is one of the best strkers in the world and you let him go.

You need a new front three.. basically raid PSG. Replace Kroos too.

Then you'll be fine but that's a lot of players to replace.

Didn't see Barca that often this season but their stats are pretty impressive. If, as people say, this is you playing poorly I won't want to see you playing in your best form.:lol:

La Liga is nearly finished for me. You need a massive meltdown to lose such a gap. Madrid are losing confidence and can see them even dropping more points.

Not nearly finished. Madrid can take 6 / 10 points from Barca just by winning the derbies. Everything is open, but Barca is now favorite to win it for sure.

The problem is as I said, I'm expecting Madrid to drop even more points. Their confidence is shot and will need a miracle to be restored now.

Barca aren't playing great. They could get into a bad streak any time. I've watched all their games and they are running on a very fine margin. At the moment, they're finishing their chances, and the opponents miss theirs due to some individual great defensive performances from either Umtiti, Mats, or even Mascherano. This is why Barca are winning with 2-0, 3-0 games in which the goal chances distribution is about equal, or even higher for the opposition at times.

What the feck are you even talking about and what the hell did I do to you? If I make stupid and ridiculous comments then argue them instead of throwing insults and sarcastic bullshit. How about that?

You say you're going to join a discussion when there's one worth joining but judging by your comment history you haven't done that once. Are you going to actually tell me why you have such a big problem with my comments?

He's been awful for a while. Looks like his head has gone. Needs a fresh challenge.
I would not sell him in any way. I would like to think that it is a physical (collective) drop

Imo, one key factor in the team's successes in the past years was their crunch mentality that unleashed their massive individual potential right when it mattered. Lots of comebacks and late winners after subpar displays, and a habit to up their game on the big occasions. It's been impressive they had that for several seasons, so perhaps a burnout is not surprising with the team aging. I wouldn't rule out that they can revive that hunger in the CL knockouts once more, but a squad refreshment seems due.

Replace Kroos too.
That would be a bad idea, at least for me.

I preffered him as a player at United, since Madrid he's been far too obsessed with his goal record and while he has hit the numbers you cannot argue with that, it has often come at the expense of not only his all round game but Madrid's style of play too.

You can go in a bad streak but you'll need a massive meltdown to lose a 10 points gap imo. I can only see the gap getting bigger before the Clasico.

Was a very good block, but Ronaldo's 1st touch was kind of heavy and forced him to adjust.

I thought he had good chances this game, but didn't take him.

We'll see. He wasn't scoring as much last season until the closing stages.

It will get smaller. Barca have Valencia and Villareal away. No way they're not dropping points the way they're playing. Could well drop as much as 5-6 points.

Thing is, I felt the same way about Madrid last year up until the last quarter of the season. They did not look great at all.

I was at the classico in August, if you had told me then that Barca would be 10 points ahead of Madrid within 3 months of the season, I would have said you are mad. At that point Madrid looked so superior to Barcelona.

You're really pessimistic I must admit. :D :D
