I am absolutely disgusted by the posts here since the game ended. You are a god damn disgrace to the forum. Grow up and learn to see football further from some "Old" beef. Spurs are very exciting team to watch and it's very unfair that they were knocked out by the experienced side, they didn't bottle anything.. They outplayed Juventus in both games, just were very unfortunate for a short time.
What's funnier is some people thinking earlier we would be lucky if we drew Juventus in the QF, assuming we go through.
On current form, especially with Pogba performing the way he is now, Juve would destroy us. And our attack which blows hot and cold would have one hell of a time trying to score against them.
Better hope for drawing the Italian Spurs (Roma) if they make it through.

I'd still be optimistic of qualifying if we did draw them though. Simply because I prefer not to be negative when we actually play those teams.

I think neutral praise is something certain caf posters seem borderline offensive. Saying Spurs deserve to be mixing it up with the best after some brilliant performances this campaign has hit some nerves. Maybe you need to get a grip

Thing is what a lot of you don't see in your arrogance is that. Sprus didn't bottle anything. There were no comical defensive mistakes or nervous play or whatever you can "Laugh" about. They played their gameplay and continued to press Juventus in tight situations. Juventus had some luck that Spurs weren't lethal at some Son's finishing. And somehow they managed to just barely get in front of a shot or pass, not by their extreme defensive work, but just were fortunate.

I don't think it was a bottle job per se. But Pocchetino definitely got his second half tactics wrong.

They played against a team in Juve that in the 2nd half tactically out-thought Spurs and had the experience to see them through. Spurs huffed and puffed and didn't seem to have a proper plan other than try to pepper Juve's goal, when they went ahead they couldn't change their game to frustrate Juve and while Juve could still see opportunities available to get at their back line, they took them.

Exactly. I guess Juve was also lucky that Kane hit the post instead of scoring from a clear offside later in the game.

Yes definitely a penalty. Spurs were the ones who got lucky there.
Juve didn't play particularly well, but experience told in the end. I don't think it was "bottle job" by Spurs - Juve and Allegri have both been here before and know exactly what they need to be doing. Chiellini was superb.
Overall, it was generally pretty tight across the two legs, and by no means a "travesty" that Spurs didn't progress here.
They fall short where it matters? They didn't fall short in either game versus Real or in the first leg against Juve or against Dortmund (who are still a good team).
Ultimatelt they fell short yesterday but let's not compare this spurs outfit to the one under Harry Redknapp and kid ourselves that they're just the same.

They were taught a lesson in knock out football. Their collective lack of experience caused them to fall into a false sense of security. They then took too long to react to a staggered tactical change by Allegri and then when Allegri went defensive and compact they didnt exploit the wide areas. We were in the same boat for most of the 90's
