@Damien , Alexis stats in full profile shows only 1 goal. Also assists should be 5 think. Maybe his stats vs Swansea aren't added?
My point is that in previous games when he has played on the left, I have not liked how he has played and perhaps it was less pertinent yesterday but the 2nd half changes made a big difference. 2nd half against City, he was much better and allowed to make more of an impact popping up right, left and centrally. I could be wrong about his starting position as I was swept up with the game rather than really focusing on the shape of the team but there was much more fluidity about our attacking play 2nd half. 2 of our goals were brilliant flowing goals, just shows what we can do when we actually attack and free up Pogba to do what he does best.Uh. Alexis played deeper in second half and for the good cause, which allowed Pogba to make runs forwards. That doesn't fit what you said here. Mourinho also confirmed in his post match press conference, that he asked both Lingard and Alexis to try to connect more with the midfield in the second half, which Alexis really did. First half, Alexis was more forward than a creator. Noticed at one point in first half Lukaku was stationed on left wing while Sanchez was in no 9 position. Another instance where Pogba drew a foul from Danilo as if Pogba was left sided attacker with Alexis drifted centrally up the pitch waiting for service.
Best performance from him for us and the higher profile game this season as a whole from what I had seen him for Arsenal. Feck Wenger. Take some doing to suck all kind of form from a player like Alexis who shows great desire.
I maybe wrong but I have only seen him celebrate 1 other goal not scored by him (carried the kid). This may just be that he expects more from himself and the team. He was frantically gesturing to Smalling after the 3rd goal though.Brilliant second half from him, but I can't think that he feels dejected at United. Didn't notice him celebrate yesterday at all. The first goal Pogba scored that largely came about due to a bit of brilliant play from himself and he just stood there when the ball hit the net. Was weird.
Wouldn't even give this a thought - just watch his celebration for his goal against Swansea. That meant a lot to him.Brilliant second half from him, but I can't think that he feels dejected at United. Didn't notice him celebrate yesterday at all. Someone posted a stat somewhere comparing this stat the some of the best attackers in the league and they're all very similar. It's probably in this thread somewhere. As good of a player as he can be, I can’t think of many players in the league more suspectible to dispossessions and turnovers. Di Maria levels of wildness.
Here you go @DWelbz19This possession loss stat must be the most useless stat, maybe after pass completion and cross completion%.

Attackers who plays risky passes loses possession more than others. They consider even a failed set piece as possession loss IIRC.
Most misused stat. They include failed set pieces also in that stat. He is very direct and always looks to create so obvious he gives away possession. Nothing like Di Maria who wasn't even arsed. As good of a player as he can be, I can’t think of many players in the league more suspectible to dispossessions and turnovers. Don'r worry dude. I remember the tweet you posted. Most misused stat. They include failed set pieces also in that stat. He is very direct and always looks to create so obvious he gives away possession. Nothing like Di Maria who wasn't even arsed.
Yeah just saw that. Thanks man.Don'r worry dude. I remember the tweet you posted.
Well... KDB and Eriksen have played 2684 and 2686 PL minutes respectively. Alexis has played 1508. The margin isn't that fine for a player who has played over 1000 less minutes.
Not sure where you got those numbers from. Sanchez has played 2194 minutes according to the BBC.Well... KDB and Eriksen have played 2684 and 2686 PL minutes respectively. Alexis has played 1508. The margin isn't that fine for a player who has played over 1000 less minutes.
A very good player, but Alexis loses the ball a large amount of times. There's no myth there.
Sanchez played around 2100 mins. 1508 mins for Arsenal and 688 for ManUtd.Well... KDB and Eriksen have played 2684 and 2686 PL minutes respectively. Alexis has played 1508. The margin isn't that fine for a player who has played over 1000 less minutes.

Ah, apologies! WhoScored split his numbers for Arsenal and United into two separate tables. Not sure where you got those numbers from. Sanchez has played 2194 minutes according to the BBC.
Alexis can have matches where a lot of things he tries doesn't come off but that's mostly because he's trying to create and they tend to be in the final third so there's no real danger of losing it there. Plus, I'm sure there was a stat going around at one point this season saying Messi and Neymar lose the ball as much as anyone else in Europe.Ah, apologies! Stats certainly prove it a lot closer in such a case - maybe it is a myth that needs to die hard!
First goal was just about to get the ball asap and put it on the centre.Brilliant second half from him, but I can't think that he feels dejected at United. I know, but every player in view had a reaction bar him.First goal was just about to get the ball asap and put it on the centre.
Says a lot about his mentality. He knows that it wasn't good enough, he wanted to win the game no matter what.I know, but every player in view had a reaction bar him.
Yeah I found this quite strange. Also one of the few players involved who hasn’t put anything on social media.Brilliant second half from him, but I can't think that he feels dejected at United. Conspiracy theories already after he just joined, got to love the caf.Yeah I found this quite strange. Also one of the few players involved who hasn’t put anything on social media.
Hopefully it’s nothing.
That would be his first normal pre-season after 4 or 5 years. A lot of time competing with Chilean National Team.If only we'd had a settled Sanchez with us all season.
Can't wait to see what he produces next season after he's fully settled in, has a restful summer with Chile not making the WC and gets to spend pre-season with us.
Don't think so. He was very happy celebrating his goal against Swansea last week. He just wants to win and isn't satisfied if he isn't winning which is a very good mentality to have. Don't you remember him throwing his gloves in anger at the 3-3 Bournemouth-Arsenal game last season? The Arsenal players were celebrating the draw and he went straight down the tunnel. He is a very fiercely driven individual and only wants to win. That's all there is to it.Brilliant second half from him, but I can't think that he feels dejected at United. Didn't notice him celebrate yesterday at all. The first goal Pogba scored that largely came about due to a bit of brilliant play from himself and he just stood there when the ball hit the net. Oh man...if it weren’t for City’s incredible run I’d be sucked in thinking about what ifs, especially that December run of ours.If only we'd had a settled Sanchez with us all season.

He has the grit we need in our squad for sure.Been called a workaholic. Not unusual for workaholics to be moody. There's a picture of him telling the team to focus after the third goal. Think he's a very intense character and I feel we need those in our team.
At least he'll be all set for next season. Good for him to spend this time adjusting to the team.If only we'd had a settled Sanchez with us all season.

So do I. He's going to very important to us next seasonGreat second half from him. Finally great to see him and Pogba linking up. The potential for the link up play between the duo is mouth watering. Really happy with his second half performance. Even things don't go his way, he just simply never gives up. Love that level of attitude.
He posts lot about ManUtd on his instagram though.Brilliant second half from him, but I can't think that he feels dejected at United. Didn't notice him celebrate yesterday at all.
