Nobody in football comes close to him with those “L1+Triangle” passes. He’s so good at them. He was pinging them to Mbappe all World Cup. If we had a Rashford tier right winger he’d be smashing them over from the left side like he normally does.
I think that's why Ole played him in a pivot with Mctominay this season. Pogba as the deep lying playmaker, McTominay as the ball winner to support him with Lingard as the AM. When he returns he goes back to being the DLP in a pivot with Fred as the ball winner and Bruno as the AM

Awesome thread in honor of his birthday to serve as a refresher on the type of talent we have in him

Really praying to the football Gods that we'll see him with Bruno out on the pitch soon

I think he’ll stay now personally, a lot of the talk on his move has died out and been replaced with new contract talk. He’s got to be looking at the team and thinking it’s got a real shot of silverware in the near future, which is apparently why he wanted to leave in the first place, now we’re showing we’re actually quite a good team he may be tempted to stay. Despite the different opinions on him it’d be fantastic if he decided to commit his prime years here.

I agree, Martial and Rashford would have the potential to be 20+ league goals a season type players with the likes of Bruno and Pogba creating in midfield

Ole basically guaranteeing that he'll be in his squad next season during the week and the club reportedly being ready to activate his extra year on his current deal makes me think he'll be at the club next year.

Pizza boy Raiola has also toned down any of his exit speculation and has actually been talking openly about potentially renewing instead as of late

Always figured that Pogba would be open to sticking around long term if he saw the club taking steps to providing a good chance at challenging for top honors. I'm sure after seeing all of Ole's signings doing quite well and being positive contributors he might have a bit more faith that the club might be closer to that point than at any time in recent years.

Often criticized for using his social media to goof around or promote his sponsors, so he deserves some credit for this.

Happy birthday Paul

If we have dedicated DM, ala Makelele, a Pogba - Makelele* - Bruno would crush any midfield on the League. I totally believe this 200%. But then we need Pogba to commit to the team, before us going big on this DM destroyer type.

Otherwise, might as well stick to the current setup of two B2B behind Bruno that serve us pretty good so far.

I know he's a good guy. But so many fake account try to get your info out there.
I'm thinking of participating a bit. It uses Paypal, so it's save.
That’s fair tbh, at a time like this, so many people trying to capitalise.

Fair enough, definitely wise to check if you're wanting to contribute.

Yes that is Pogba's official sponsorship and he is working with Unicef.

He gets a lot of stick but I don't see many other footballers offering to do the same.

A lot of signs pointing towards an extension not being so far away...

We all love United
Love it. Hope he signs for another 5+1 here

I would love to see him finish his career at United and when it’s all said and done, he will hopefully win a couple of league titles here to speak of

I think with the current climate, it is not surprising. I think we might not see a lot of activity regarding transfers this window with so much uncertainty regarding everything.

Wow corona virus came and people suddenly became generous all of a sudden.

He can be Pele, Maradona for all I care and I wont want to see him a minute of him in MU shirt.

Too many chances for him to prove that he really wants to be here, yet time after times he will do it a different way.
Sure, people can have their own opinions, and I can have my as well. Hope people who in charge already made up their mind.
Period.

That's some special level of bitterness. I love the "Period" at the end. Makes you seem tough

My boy, Troy! Spot on as usual.
What a shit interview. Spun to think what Pogba said in China was wrong. Few people have issues with this, the issue we have is if he wants out he should just go. Dicking around to try and keep him only sets us back whilst having idiot comments from his agent in the process which is nothing but disruptive.

Maybe he does want to go. As Troy said, WC winner, world class, 27 now and attracting attention from teams that are challenging for major titles.

He came here to win those titles, but if we're not providing a team for, not only Pogba, but the other top class players we have, to challenge on all fronts, then eventually they will want to leave too.

That said, with the purchase of Bruno and other potential targets lined up in the summer, Pogba may actually think it's a team that could start challenging.

He's under contract, so the club will ultimately have the final say, but if he wants to go, as you said, we should let him and reinvest.

Manchester Utd never lose, just run out of time

He wants to leave if we're going to continue to be shit. But there's a fair chance that his absolute first preference would be to stay here while we are competing at the top. The question is how likely he thinks that is to happen. Putting myself in his head I reckon he's probably going to think it's too risky so he'll still want to go, but I would like to be proven wrong.

It's weird how people have such different takes on his contribution that tournament. Some will tell you he only their sixth or seventh most important player. For me he ran that midfield throughout.

Yeah, for all the talk of Kante and Matuidi (and rightly so because they do the dirty work and get up and down), without Pogba France would lose the central creativity of their team.
Funny thing is Pogba had near as good Defensive stats as Kante that tournament. He was an all round monster.

Matuidi was bang average what tournament too

He was their best player for me. Created all their chances, was a beast defensively and pitched in important goals.

Of course Varane Mbappe and Griezmann all deserve a shout too.

They where very close but Kante wasn't near.

Something else that needs to be considered is emotional connection. A player might stay at a club if they feel loved and from day one of his return the fans have shown no love towards Pogba. Bruno and Ighalo have had more support in two minutes than Pogba in three years. The only chant personal to Pogba came after he was racially abused this season.

It’s a two way street so I’m guessing the hardcore took a stance when Pogba returned based on the fact he left. Well that’s stupid because he made a choice to come back.

So now from Pogbas point of view...the teams been absolute garbage for three years. He gets blamed for everything despite being our best outfield performer over that time, and he’s had no support from the fans from day one. You can see why he’d consider a new challenge. It’s not rocket science.

It's funny because watching the BBC broadcast of that match again, they had a segment at half-time showing and praising his contributions and he had 4-5 really good moments. It continued in the second half and he was continuously praised by Mark Lawrenson throughout the match. There must be something about Pogba that rubs people the wrong way, because he seldom ever seems to get praise for his good spells outside of United fans
