Wait.Forced to play against his will
I hope he leaves too. And takes his fans with him.Hope he leaves, wasting his last years at this club full of cowardly losers.
That Southampton game in particular I’m certain we’d have won if he was playing. We played better than them, and they got a fortune goal after Bruno dwelling on the ball and getting dispossessed on the edge of his box (the first of a fair few last season), but we missed a number of chances. Cavani had given himself a holiday in Uruguay at the time too, but we should have won.We had one good game before he joined and that was the opening one to Leeds (a team half of the league blow away anyway). We were absolutely abysmal against Southampton & particularly Wolves before he even played a minute for us last season.
He’s not gonna pull a rabbit out of a hat. This ain’t a magic show.We need to get rid of him.
He offers nothing and is a major distraction on the club.
He won't.He’s not gonna pull a rabbit out of a hat. This ain’t a magic show.
Suddenly Ruud Gullit's comment about us living in the past feels so aptWe had one good game before he joined and that was the opening one to Leeds (a team half of the league blow away anyway). Are you sure that 1st goal is Ronaldo's fault? It looks like a slow rolling shot on goal that DDG should have had. We may as well play with 11 outfield players as to blame anyone other than DDG for that. Kind of makes the rest of your post seem a bit suspect.I'm shocked anyone can come up with positives from that performance. He constantly fell over at the slightest touch, didn't get the free kicks he was looking for and just lost possession instead. He was culpable in our first conceded goal.
He offered nothing in attack. Opting to take potshots 30 yards from goal and ignoring teammates in better positions. It's a performance that deserves immediate dropping over, but we've nobody better.
I didn't say the conceded goal was his fault, but rather that he deserves some blame for it. We conceded our first from Ronaldo falling over at the slightest touch and losing the ball. What happened after is all on De Gea, but it started with Ronaldos inability to keep possession. This was a major problem yesterday and for large parts of last season as well. Are you sure that 1st goal is Ronaldo's fault? It looks like a slow rolling shot on goal that DDG should have had. Yes. And if the goalkeeper can't stop that shot, then we should just start with 11 outfield players. I glad we agree that DDG was the person at fault. We conceded our first from Ronaldo falling over at the slightest touch and losing the ball. There's nothing suspect with my post. It's exactly what happened yesterday. Don't start making things up to peddle your agenda. Ronaldo is tackled, loses the ball, feigns an injury and Bournemouth get a shot off.

It's pathetic, all those quotes bigging him up and telling the media he isn't for sale served no purpose. Ten Hag should've let him rot in the stands till at least the end of the transfer window. LVG did it with De Gea when he wanted to go in 2015 and he was far more professional.I wonder what effect it had on the mood of the squad when Ronnie spends pre season looking for a new club than walks straight into the team when season starts? Not an excuse for the team who needs to do better regardless of course.
I know we are short of options up front with Martial out but it kind of feels like a missed opportunity to show that no one is bigger than the club
Our problem is a collective attitude problem. How can you not see that getting rid of players with a bad attitude, even if they are the best players in the squad (and 37 year old Ronaldo is not close to that), that it is still better for the group that they leave.Bad attitude or not, I still can't see Martial being a better option upfront
Whether or not Ronaldo was at fault for the goal, his inability to hold the ball under pressure and bring others into play with his back to goal is an obvious concern, and it’s one of the things that allows teams to squeeze our team incredibly effectively. Having all the technical players in the build up obviously helps bring the ball out from the back, but you need an outball when the opposition is executing an aggressive press well. Ronaldo’s complete absence in that regard has been a real surprise to me. His body must be crumbling at this point because he’s terrified of a physical battle these days.Yes. Seems like Ronaldo is playing more defense. Doesn't seem to be helping the defense. I presume Rashford etc are also playing more defense also...not helping.
No it obviously didn’t help us bring the ball out from the back yesterday.Whether or not Ronaldo was at fault for the goal, his inability to hold the ball under pressure and bring others into play with his back to goal is an obvious concern, and it’s one of the things that allows teams to squeeze our team incredibly effectively. Yeah I can definitely see how bringing strikers into the defensive game in deeper areas can create more risks, in the same way playing risky possession football in your area like Jorginho today creates more risks. No it obviously didn’t help us bring the ball out from the back yesterday.
Maybe all these new formations are just confusing as to who does what? Anyway, the announcers used to talk about a “striker’s tackle” and it wasn’ta compliment. The forwards may be assisting the defense more now, but I don’t imagine they’d be that good at it.
That first goal was on DDG for sure. That shot shouldn't find the back of the net against any professional goalie. DDG had an absolute mare, that's not up for discussion. Are you sure that 1st goal is Ronaldo's fault? It looks like a slow rolling shot on goal that DDG should have had. I don't ever remember that being Ronaldo's strong suit, though I suppose he can knock a ball down. People would always describe he as NOT being someone who played in that fashion, so it's not terribly surprising he isn't doing it now either. Fortunately (?) we're terrible at crosses, so it's not a big need either.Whether or not Ronaldo was at fault for the goal, his inability to hold the ball under pressure and bring others into play with his back to goal is an obvious concern, and it’s one of the things that allows teams to squeeze our team incredibly effectively. Just checking -- did the rest of the team look happy on Saturday? What is the approved body language and facial expression for losing 4-0 in the 1st half to Brentford? All our players gave the ball away too easily on Saturday, so can't blame Ronaldo too much for doing it too. He also involved himself in the game and made some nice plays, but he showed some terrible decisionmaking with the ball in his feet, shooting from 25+ yards when he has several good runs around him is just horrible and kind tells you that he plays more for himself than for the team. He killed some decent moves with that nonsense on Saturday. He's still pressing too little and he sucks the energy out of everyone with his body language, gestures and face throughout the game.
The disrespect he's shown the fans and club this summer has no limits.
It's going to take time to make this team look good again, but the sooner he's gone the better.
In Louis’ accent.
To be honest I think it's more a case of him wanting us to rip up his contract and let him leave on a free. I'd imagine some club would take him with no fee and reduced wages. I think he's going to stink the club out until we grant him this.In Louis’ accent.
‘United are a commercial club’
Doubtful it’s true to be honest, probably reason is what everyone already knows, that no CL teams want him.
He’s definitely got the money to buy himself out.To be honest I think it's more a case of him wanting us to rip up his contract and let him leave on a free. I'd imagine some club would take him with no fee and reduced wages. I think he's going to stink the club out until we grant him this.
I think he'd rather stink the place out and keep his money. He’s definitely got the money to buy himself out.
