To have an overview of where he is and where he needs to get at, I thought I wanted to compare him to a leading similar role - Wayne Rooney
Sanchez this season:
9 Premier League games and these are his outputs:
2 goals, 4 assists
So he basically delivers a goal or assist in 2 out of 3 games. It's not that bad, but if you compare it to a leading role like Rooney in his best seasons he contributes with a goal or an assist pr game. This is where Sanchez needs to be:
Rooney - Premier League, some of his prime:
2013/2014: 27 games - 17 goals, 10 assists (+ 2 subs)
2012/2013: 22 games - 12 goals, 10 assists (+ 5 subs)
2011/2012: 32 games - 27 goals , 4 assists (+ 2 subs)
2010/2011: 25 games - 11 goals, 11 assists (+ 3 subs)
.. Needs to be considered that Fergie's team had overall better players and attacking style, but Sanchez should be delivering either a goal or an assist pr game from next season. I see this season as a process of gelling with the other players.
