He's been very good. Just needs a goal but it will come soon. Against man city I hope. The international break comes at a bad time just as he's getting a run of games we lose the momentum for another 2 weeks.

One thing I will say is that Sanchez played as a number 9 for Arsenal when they literally had no other options, they now have both Lacazette and Aubameyang fighting over that spot whereas we're playing him there because he's our best option

I wonder will JM leave him up front from now on or will Rom get his spot back once fit ?
Lukaku will be back. There's no way he's going to stay out of this team indefinitely. He'll be back after the International break and Sanchez will be back on one of the wings.

I'm not so sure anymore tbh, no one is moving Martial until his form hits a brick wall so that would mean Sanchez going to the cursed RW if he is moved and like others he hasn't produced out there previously

At his best, he's a better player than both of them.

I mean, i hope he doesn't just walk straight in. Sanchez is playing well upfront at the moment (despite not scoring), but i just can't see Jose leaving Lukaku out for a prolonged period of time.

Could be utter nonsense. But i wouldn't be surprised if it's true.

He certainly plays like it. Good news if he can get a move there, we might get some money back or a good swap. Not that I trust this current manager in the transfer market anyway mind.

Pogba wanted to leave the weekend of the derby as well, apparently.

With all of City's negative headlines and the proof they dictate to journalists....

We heard similar stories about Pogba about a month ago and we all believed it but the lad proved it was BS. Let's wait first then.

Story is fake news made up bullshite for sure.
Sanchez is a locker room favorite everywhere, remember how he was praised for being a great teammate after he left Arsenal.

The full article starts by talking about Khaldoon Al Mubarak and City saying they're glad they didn't sign him.

It's come from them.

Hirst is pretty reliable. Screw Alexis anyway, this is Martial FC and there's absolutely nothing this Chilean fraud can do about it.

Edit: Reading the full article, interesting that other than De Gea, Lukaku and Mata he doesn't socialise with anyone else in the dressing room. No wonder he doesn't look like he fits in.

As a number 9? Not sure about that tbh
Strange narrative here. You specifically referenced Sanchez’ spell as a striker at Arsenal, falsely saying they had no options when he benched Giroud. Then went on to imply he was some sort of makeshift there because they had no one else, and they now have better centre forwards.

Are you not at all aware of how Sanchez’ spell as a striker went at Arsenal or something? He scored 24 league goals in that season. It’s clearly not supposed to be used as some sort of example of desperation!

I believe it... It's just too convenient for them to try and stir up our sh*t

Giroud doesn't score goals though so yeah he was a make shift striker, as he is here now due to Lukaku's form. The point I was making is he was meant to come here and add goals to our attack not replace the person who's meant to get most of them for us all the while Arsenal now have 2 20 a goal season strikers now fighting for one position

Sanchez played as striker for a while early in that season, but otherwise he played mostly as a winger. Wenger tried him as a striker and came to the conclusion he's not suitable for that role.

We need to hope PSG want him, its our only chance to offload him with his wages.

He's not doing enough. Simple as that. We aren't paying him 400k a week for an assist every 3-4 games and a hard work ethic.

Strange timing. He's currently playing miles better than our other option up top and it's added a noticeable change to our style too.

Ehh. He's 30 and not very good, can't say I'm that fussed. Probably a deal that would suit all parties. Get some cash for him or see if we can have a go at someone in return.

What I don’t think people need to panic about is some sort of fear he will be benched as soon as Lukaku returns. He outranks Lukaku here, and is our biggest ever signing. Any form of acceptable performances from Sanchez will see him in the team. It’s clear from his time here that we’ve been committed to making it work. If it shows signs of doing that, he will retain his place. He’s our highest ever paid player, he’s not going to be benched if he’s playing well.

If he ends up going I say we put the #7 shirt on the shelf for a good long while. The thing is cursed.

Anything the media's spewing out is best ignored. I don't agree that Hirst is reliable either, he's been shite for ages especially with United matters. He was one of the biggest Pogba rift peddlers.

Excessive use of smilies
So convenient that such claims/reports coming out during the Derby weekends eh? Even if it is true, not sure how Alexis would fit in that team, unless they want to swap with Mbappe

Martial Rashford Mbappe as front three. Oh my...

EDIT: Didnt know excessive smilies as a thing/rule. My bad! :nono:

It's just like Guardiola trying to unsettle the derby earlier this year, hopefully Sanchez can pull out a brace as well.

If he's still getting results Mourinho would stick to the same formula even if that means Lukaku spending time on the bench for an extended period.

The worst thing that could happen to Lukaku is if we do well against City with the same team that started against both Bournemouth and Juventus. That'll means we'd have done well against 3 tough teams away and after that we'll have a run of easier fixtures and with confidence being at an all time high due to those results I could see us clearing those fixtures.

In such a case Lukaku would really find it hard to get back in the first 11.

I’d be very happy to offload him for 50m to PSG or China.

He’s declined badly over the last 2 years or so and at his age, not likely to get back firing for any kind of sustained period. Take the money and try not to feck up recruitment the next time.

Arsenal were very much perfect for him. He was the main man, he could play however he wanted and go unnoticed because of shitter players around him and the fans loved him. He's just another player at this club. He seemed to fit the big fish in a small pond role.

I tend to never believe what the papers are saying, but if he does want a move I doubt many would mind.
I like him but it's clearly not worked, so far at least.

At best he's been average, more often than not its been like playing with 10 men though. wouldn't be fussed if he left. Shame as he seems a decent lad.
