I blame him for Leeds second goal. Has got to take that ball in and protect it. Should not get mugged so easily. Otherwise he was excellent and fought as hard as anyone.

As frustrating as he can be he still is an incredibly classy player.
Really happy to have him here.

Honestly, playing him as a false 9 must be tempting at the moment. His awareness in and around the box is brilliant.

False 9 Bruno also allows us to go back to a proper 3 man midfield. Make it happen Ralph!

Not only the goal and the assist, he also tackled and reclaimed the ball in the counter attack for the 3rd goal. More than enough to make up for his mistake in their 2nd goal.

But what is truly marvelous is after 90mins of fight in a terrible weather, and countless hard kicks he has got during the match, he still shown extraordinary effort and energy in the 4th goal. True Reds.

He has 9 goals and 12 assists this season? Low key could end up with a' decent individual season yet.

Today showed all his strengths and weakeness in one game, class and frustration, but can't complain if it amounts to 1+1 goal involvements.

He is the cornerstone of our team. Can't argue that.

If he could be a bit tougher on the ball, and not lie around on the floor after getting tackled it would be good. But looking more like the player that lift Utd that first season here.

The guy was everywhere. Helping press and defend one minute; chasing down their defenders the next. That flick was brilliant

It seems like he's back to last season's form of a wildly inconsistent 90 minutes but still making decisive and winning plays.

I'll take that any day over the Bruno we had in the first half of the season.

Pogba giving him praise about the flick, half the people here doesn't praise his quality.
Pogba was teasing him about being a copycat - he did that in lead up to our 1st goal (lead to the corner). Genius players.

Far better second half even with the goal in the first. Bit soft for their goal though.

Hopefully he kicks on and bangs a few in now on our way to top 4 and CL win

You lose those Lampard esq late runs into the box that he's so good at though. Think he's better off a 9, just a Ronaldo would be better off one as well.

His player awareness is second to none. He had to time in that curved pass in split second. The heartbeat of the team, imho.

"Martial...He's isolated Skrtel here..."
Again, still not sure if he can play in a side looking to contend for titles against the toughest teams, but games like today are tailored for his style. Wide open end to end stuff.

I also think he either has to play a sort of false 9 or as a 10 with a striker that drops deep to really be part of a cohesive team. Any other position or system and he just is too all over the place.

That flick was brilliant for Elanga's goal though.

Very good today, always a few moments a game that make you pull your hair out, but he's the heartbeat of the team.

Yes I was thinking this exact thing! Him as a false 9 flanked by two wingers and 3 midfielders behind (including Pogba) looks tasty.

Was his assist for Elanga intended or did he try to knock the ball past the Leeds defender ? Not that it matters in all honesty
Hard to tell, but I think he actually meant it if you look at the way he immediately stops after the touch

Also, gotta say, his work rate is exceptional. Even at the end he was running like a madman, covering the right wing etc. I love him so much

No matter how bad of a form he represents this season, expect him to get something, almost every game.
