I know this is not the politics thread, but Barcelona are playing Las Palmas
And....

Club statement
“Today, what we do is very simple. With the Spanish flag embroidered in our equipment we want to vote unequivocally in an imaginary vote to which nobody has summoned us: we believe in the unity of Spain.”

Esport3 claim Barcelona would be facing a 6 month ban from the LFP if they delay the match eventhough the entire of Catalunya has suspended all other sporting events
So playing with violence outside is ok? Rajoy is such a cnut.

The doctors say that it's a complication of an ordinary virus and that he should get back to normal once he recovers from the virus. Treatment is apparently ibuprofen and rest, but obviously they will be very cautious with him.
Sounds like pericarditis.

Seems like the match could be played with no spectators. Highly likely atm.

Officially cancelled the match
40 minutes ago, not even now do we know if the match is cancelled or not, the players want to play and the regional police (mossos) say that there's no problem in playing the game.

Why people have this urge to call the match off when it's not oficial? You get a prize for foretelling or something?

Barcelona starting lineup has been announced: Ter Stegen, Sergi Roberto, Piqué, Mascherano, Jordi Alba, Busquets, Paulinho, Denis Suárez, Aleix Vidal, Messi y Suárez.

If we're going to have a game or not, yet to be seen, but seems likely

No urge, merely passing on reporting from RAC1 - now updated to being played behind closed doors

We all know who pays RAC1 bills, so it was jumping the gun believing them when they have interests in escalating the whole thing, hence why I don't understand the urge to talk in absolutes like you did before it becomes official.

Anyway, main problem seems to be that a group of fans has told the club they would invade the pitch since minute 1, that's the threat that keeps everything locked and would lead us to a match with no spectators

Good call. LFP can't wait to reduce the 7pts gap. Would've took some points off Barca in no time.

tl;dr in English, they condemn the actions today in Catalunya against the feedom of speech and democratic rights of the citizens (sigh). Due to those exceptional circumstances the game will be played behind close doors after the LFP refused to re-schedule it.

Awful bunch of liars, I really believe that the club has been taking hostage by some fans that wanted to boycott the game with a pitch invasion, and the board is shielding that fact in that press release
