You're right but its not really fair when Blind just decides which position he is going to take whenever and then just becomes the best in that position, Zlatan is probably worried about his spot against Chelsea.

Hes only 21, and coming back from a terrible injury. These sort of games will help him long term.

Valencia came to a form he never reached before his injury when he recovered from it. He was truly outstanding, like nothing happened to him. His form getting worse and worse happened much later.
Yep, another "redcafe-ism" that's often repeated on here. He went on to have a stormer after that injury.

The caf is writing him off based on his first game back from illness and injury, never change!

He looked like the best left back in the league until that cnut broke his leg. He just doesn't seem to be even close the level he was before that horror tackle. Such a shame becuase we would have been set for a decade plus had he continued with that sort of form. Really really worried about what long term damage that's done to his confidence.
That's a myth really. Even in that run of games at the start of the last season he cost a couple of goals by being caught out. He will learn and has all the tools to be a great player though, he's still at an age when most players are still trying to break out of the reserves.

Didn't played well and had some missed yesterday.

Nevertheless, when he's in form, I can't see a better left back in the kingdom than him.

Looked very sluggish last night. Will take a while for him to get back to top form though after that kind of injury. Think he kind of gets a free pass for this season, However next season there will be no excuse.

Far be it from me to quote the Sun, but apparently Luke's borther Ben blasted Mourinho on Twitter calling him a cnut and other things. Also saying he always knew Jose had something against Luke.

Those tweets will surely get him back in to the squad in no time. Brilliantly done by brother Ben.

There's a thread about it all and his brother is denying it all.

He looks to be lacking match fitness, nothing to be particularly concerned about.

Not sure if it's match fitness but he looks to have put on bit of weight, can't seem to stop a simple cross v Navas who is always going to his right.

Doesn't look fit at all. Might be a while until we see him at 100%.

He should get a little bit rest because after the injury he had it will take time to be back 100%. Not worried about him at all.

His fitness and body speaks volumes about his (lack of) professionalism. He's only 21 yet is somehow in worse shape than Rooney. The likes of @Sarni will defend him to death because of what he did 3 years ago though.

Of course he/fans should be concerned, he looked far better after he was out for one year than he looks now, he played full game just 5 days ago, he should be fit enough by now if he wants to compete at this level. It's cup game too, and he is playing against bunch of squad players at City and getting outplayed in every attack. If we are going to threat our players like bunch of prima donas all the time then we should stop criticising everything else about this club too.

He hasn't lost any pace. He proved that in the first month of the season. Simply lacking match fitness tonight.

Don't really understand this swing in narrative over the past few weeks. Up until the Watford game he was receiving praise for his performances. Since the Watford game he's barely played. Yet you'd think he's been poor since his return reading about him.

Reminds me of Evra's traditional performances against Lennon.

Nothing to worry about, he'll come good. Needs a bit of time.

Once again, like against Fenerbahce, he looks unfit. We complain about wrong selections a lot, but this half shows how important it is to be fit.

Hopefully he'll get back soon, but atm Blind looks a better choice on LB.

he's really poor today, like he never was quick, he needs to get closer to Navas.. hopefully match fitness has something to do with that..
