He's exactly what our midfield has been missing for years, he really is the full package - Strength, power, pace, tackling, passing range, skill... And he makes it all look effortless

A heck of a debut given the circumstances.

Meanwhile on Juventuz (couldn't resist)

Same Pogba that we saw in France, playing too deeply, absolutely not suited for this role
Lol only because Southampton went all in at some point of time and left a lot of empty zones behind and man Utd can afford to play counter attacking football, yet. Pogba sucks

still rusty and below full fitness, yet you could easily see his quality and power.

Great he got 90 mins match time into his legs; within a few weeks,he'll deliver MoM performances.

He's the midfield version of Ronaldo. Such a dynamic, powerful, skillful player, and he's only 23.

Don't think he was as great as everybody thinks he was. But he was good, and a nice start to his 2nd career at Manchester United

First game and he does this... imagine once he gets his full fitness and rhythm back. Incredible player.

Only way you can ask for a better debut was if he scored. Dominated the midfield and drifted/skilled past their players with incredible ease.

We have one heck of a player on our hands.

Him and Zlatan are so similar in many ways. Impeccable technique, at great size. Nightmare to deal with.

Great debut, but imo he proved again today that we should move him to Rooneys role and play 2 midfielders behind him. Don't think Fellaini and Pogba were great when it comes to protecting our defence. Pogba was immense with all his run and was dangerous every time he got the ball, we shouldn't let him do the dirty work, especially against top teams that will be needed imo.

He enjoys playing football, like 12 year old kids after school.

Edit: I mean the kids enjoy playing football too, not Pogba enjoys kids. :nervous:

Wow, that was impressive. Was worried about him fitting into a two man-midfield, but tonight's these fears have basically been evaporated.

How many times did he win the ball back for us along with Fellaini?

Those driving runs, the swagger, the way he's forcing us forward... He's gonna be worth every penny isn't it?

Did we not witness him literally just do that?!

Brilliant, brilliant player.

I think the issue of controlling the midfield in terms of possession is that Rooney and Mata are absolutely useless in terms of ball recovery... so Pogba and Fellaini are forced to cover space and can't get aggressive as a result.

He is such and unbelievable player. He has got everything - physicality to win the ball, technique to find a good pass and dribble past players with ease. Also he is not someone who is afraid to shoot from outside the box. He was my MoM as he single handedly drove our midfield and attack in the 2nd half leaving soton midfielders on the ground.
