You're...going to love me
Was that the game with the Gerrard red card for the challenge on Carrick, and Giggs putting away the penalty after Berbatov went down? That was the FA Cup 2010-11.
That's the one.

His first game back was a 2-1 win in the league. From memory Evra thought he scored but it took a big deflection from Vidic.

You're getting mixed up with Dalgliesh first game back which was the FA cup win (1-0) where Stevie G was sent off
Yeah I got a bit mixed up. I thought they were talking about Dalgleish's first game back at Liverpool, not Suarez's

For me, and from my notes and thoughts, there are 49 attackers outside of England that would be attainable and usable. They are NOT all suitable to a Rodgers style now, but there are 49 names (at least) that if we were to sign one of them, we could expect a lot of them without being foolish about it. If we sign outside of that list, as far as I'm concerned, then we are signing for value and not immediate impact. We need immediate impact next season
here are 49 envelopes...

That Attack The Space thread.

Was that how the whole Rio and his dropping in of that phrase in every interview thing came about?

Can you imagine if we had someone like that posting on the caf. They would be mocked at every turn, not treated like some kind of god man of football.
He'd be delighted when he's quickly promoted not realising he's just been thrown to packs of hungry dogs.

Forums seem to have different styles and ways of doing things. We love sarcastic humour and banter verging on harassment. They prize the ability to use 50 words where 3 would do. PoP is in the right place. He's got gullible Liverpool fans to praise him and we have another reason to laugh at RAWK.

Never. I want all the gems to stay in the rawk threads. The nonsense excuses, the fullkit w**kers, the complete lack of self awareness, the blatant hypocrisy, their desperate nostalgia, their ridiculous expectations, their weird crush on Rafa, the cycle that kicks off all of these threads, their fake league table, PoP, johnowhite. It's like a Hall of Fame of madness. How they don't have their own tv series, I'll never know.

Ffs
What I picture that guy looking like is basically that internet nerd meme guy. Compiles a list of 50 players who he thinks they should sign for the striker position and talks about it like it's a fact

Aye [The ideal striker for Rodgers' style of play, as far as I can see, is someone between 5'10" and 6'2" tall, quick and agile, fast but not necessarily an Olympic sprinter, but could probably do the 40 yd sprint in 4.3-4.4 seconds, if tested. Probably has a good vertical leap, is built like a middleweight, and has fast reactions. Has a good work ethic, and either likes to run at defences for 90 minutes, or is good positionally - either one would do. Capable of scoring from long range, but is better on the dribble in the box, and has a 2:1 or 3:1 ratio of games to goals, and is around 22-24 years old.]
What the feck? Sounds like Mel Kiper is covering European footy prospects.

... their weird crush on Rafa ...
LEAVE RAFA ALONE!!!!!!!1111111

Or, to put it another way, there's nothing weird about the deep affection I have for the man. He's a great manager and a genuinely good and generous man. If you think affection for and loyalty to a man who did so much and tried so hard for our club is "weird" then you don't get football at all.

Too big. It would get in the way of his sprints and ability to twist n turn.

Phase of play knows this from his own experiences studying this very subject. Cock specialist.

Well he can score more than Sterling who definitely has a much smaller one.

Rawk is like a supermax prison, pure lock down.

Along with Arsenal fan tv, it is one of the funniest places on the internet and most of them don't seem to realise it. I agree with the poster above, there is enough material in this thread to create a tv show full of rawk characters.

I've tried on and off for a long time. It's never open.

Boom bust cycle my friends. Everything there is in line with that. Try in summer when the optimism will be at its peak. Registrations will be open too.

Phase of Play is a WUM, right?
Probably. I think that he is a good poster and at the beginning (when I signed up there), he was decent and quite informative. Now, I think that he's trying so hard to look knowledgable - like 49 strikers, or his simulation of United vs Liverpool - mainly because of the positive replies he get, and has become a parody of himself. A bit like our Kevin who years ago made occasionally a joke but after berry berry shrew, all his posts are meant to be jokes.

I have a strong suspicion that him and JonnoWhite might be the same poster, wumming the RAWK and getting positive replies for what are as nonsense as can exist posts. Maybe Hectic is both of them. After his succesful infiltration of Caf, he might have done the same with RAWK.

He's not a great manager. You know better than me I suppose but my strongest memories of his time at Liverpool are watching my Liverpool supporting Dad go mental as he watched them crash out of Europe, as he watched Gerrard's confused look as Torres was subbed off so they could focus on the Europa league and watching their squad become increasingly filled with crap. He's not a bad manager obviously but the main way of judging a manager imo is where was the club when he took over and where was the club when he left. Now unless you're going to blame the owners for everything, Rafas time at Liverpool doesn't look so good.

Meltdown? I thought they'd be starting a late season boom cycle where they think they can catch City for 4th. Especially with such an easy game tomorrow.

Why is RAWK claiming that we scored two goals from offside positions? Fellaini's header was onside, right?

And unsurprisingly - bar a couple of people - they have forgotten to mention that Kompany should have been sent off in the first place.

By the letter of the law you would call Mata and Fellainis goals offside but they were so tight its easy to see why they were given. And when its that tight dont you give advantage to the attacker?

PhaseofPlay

Man-mark Fellaini

Press them very aggressively, very high

Play direct

If they break past the press, shuttle the ball towards Fellaini's side or towards the centre, so that he is removed as a long-ball option or crossing option.

Have wingers make runs between the fullbacks and centrebacks on their blind side

Play 4-2-3-1
They're all asking him how to counter Carrick etc. Is he Rodgers in disguise?
