He was talking in terms of it's relevence to football fans in general and I agree with the Rawk mod.

I have never quite understood why football fans take issue with the cost of a specific transfer. If the Liverpool board, the guys who control the cash, deem paying £30 odd million for Sadio Mane a necassary expenditure then that's their prerogative. Why do fans care how much money their club spends on a player?
I think Leeds fans might take you to task on that statement.

It's not about what he responded with, it's how he deleted the posts critisizing the signing and then ended up locking the thread by giving a stern warning ("those of you who want to lay into him/the club can soon do it on the main board and see where that takes you ")

That's the style directly from Kim Jong-Un's book. :D

But leeds' capitulation came about due to Ridsdale running his club like a kid in a sweet shop. Over spending to the point of putting his club in £100 million of debt and on the brink of administration.

Liverpool are hardly in the same situation as Leeds found themselves in, let's be honest here. :p

It's a sad day when you find yourself supporting RAWK mod. Im going to need a bath after this.

I've just always found it odd when football fans take issue on the cost of a transfer (unless you're a Leeds fan of course)

Oh noes, Klopp rejected Mkhitaryan :nervous:
RAWK said:
If Klopp felt Mkhitaryan was his guy then I'd be willing to bet we'd be welcoming him right now.

34m Mane is an upcoming committed professional while 26m Mkhitaryan is a mercenary :p
RAWK said:
Couldn't give a monkeys that we're not being linked or signing as high profile players as teams like Utd.

The fella we have at the helm wants to mould his own stars and I'm fine with that.

They'll be more committed. Less mercenaries.

And in addition........they're also bloody good players too!

Perfect man in charge to motivate them and organise them.

I'm quietly confident so far. Take your Conte's, Mourinho's and Guardiola's and shove them up your arse.
If Southampton plays silly beggars with accounting, they would've done that with Wanyama as well.
Wanyama is a rock and the heart of their DM 2, with United getting the poorer one.

You said why would fans care about prices paid for players - I still say Leeds fans might take you to task.

They take issue because their rivals got a better player at lesser cost. Humans will always compare.

Just had a read over there. They're being surprisingly honest about our activity. They think Bailey, Ibra and Mickey are good signings.

Who's "shitting their pants?" I'm just sayin that they are getting their shit together and it won't be long before they've got a very good team again that will properly challenge at the very top. The fun of the past 3 years is over ... for now at any rate.
The fun of the past 3 years isn't over at all... they are indeed likely to strengthen;anybody can see that. The fact of the matter is that we are also strengthening and as long as we are positioned above them, we can have as much fun at their expense as we want.

With Klopp adjusted to the PL, players finding form at the Euros and likely World Class signings being attracted to Klopp and our illustrious history, we will be the team to beat. I can see us winning the Premier League next year whilst going far in the Mickley Mouse cups as well.

No doubt they will get stronger but we will always be ahead of them as We.are.Liverpool. They.Are.Scared.
yeah, you do seem like you've taken a bit of time off from RedCafe to write this
You.Are.Liverpool - We.Are.Terrified

Edit: Okay, fess up, Which one of you is it?

I think Mane will be a very good signing for them. More direct and lightening pace down the right.

If they keep Sturridge fit, Coutinho, Firmino and Mane behind them is a good attack.
That does sound pretty good unfortunately. I wonder if anyone will come in for Coutinho?

Yes and I went on to explain the difference between Liverpool under John Henry and Leeds under Peter Ridsdale - 2 entirely seperate entities. On the one hand you have an established investor who's ownership of multiple successful business ventures has increased his net worth to be in excess of £2 billion, whilst on the other hand you have... Peter "I took out a £60 million loan on the premise that my club would qualify for CL football 3 years running to pay of the debt" Ridsdale.

There is no comparison in all fairness.

Not RAWK but this is from the Guardian Match Tracker of the Italy Spain game

https://www.theguardian.com/football/live/2016/jun/27/italy-v-spain-euro-2016-live

First

min “Undoubtedly Conte’s competitive mind’s work is on display here: he’s trying to become the first manager who has more than 8 players suspended from the next game, judging by the amount of yellow cards on Italy’s squad,” says Laine Ascot. “If this is anything to go by (a must-win-everything mentality) then Liverpool and Man Utd better watch out or Chelsea will be joining them on the list of Prem teams with the Treble.” When did Liverpool win the Treble?
Love how the Guardian's writer asks the all important question.

Later this response from another reader

27 min “I think the 7th minute’s Male Escort (I think that was his name) must be referring, when using “the Treble” in a Liverpool context, to the time they won 3 cup competitions in one season,” says Mac Millings. “Come now, Mr. Escort, if you could just give that title to anything you had done three times, I could use the existence of my three children to call the proven occasions on which I’d had private intimacy with my good lady wife ‘the Treble’. And from now on, I shall.”
The Treble indeed

More tosh.

I don't understand how many times we have to keep locking this thread for certain posters to actually read.

NO MORE CHAT ABOUT THE F*CKING FEE. WE DON'T KNOW WHAT IT IS. IT MIGHT BE £30M, IT MIGHT BE £34M, IT MIGHT BE £38M. CARRA SAYS £30M AND THAT'S GOOD ENOUGH FOR ME. IF YOU WANT TO BITCH ABOUT £30M OR BUYING SOMEONE FROM SOUTHAMPTON, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE

Brilliant  Presumably he's referring to any time up until the first day of the season, whilst the table order is based on the alphabet.

I was reading the Mane thread and one of the mods gave a guy a warning over a tame sarcastic remark back to him. Apparently the mods there don't like statistics talk

They really are nuts

They are perfect example of an abuse of power.
Must be frustrating too for the Pool fans on there, they raise some very valid criticism and are immediately shut down because of it.

A post that would get you banned from the newbies here apparently gets you put on mod duty over at RAWK, based on that post.

Great news - sensational signing for us
Absolutely over the moon with this one.
Cracking signing
Massive signing
Only seen on RAWK,
A complete modern attacker / wing player.
I can't recall the last signing the club made that just makes as perfect sense as this one does.
I thought this guy could play at at the highest level. That's no disrespect to Southampton as I don't mean that higher level is us. I mean he could play with any top European side.
Not sure how could this even be possible unless Mkhitaryan will be earning 150k more than Mane!
I suspect Mkhitaryan could easily be 15M more expensive over the course of a 4 year contract.
This year will be their fecking year,
I really feel we can shake things up this season.
Babel, Downing, Manquillo, Caulker.... Some illustrious names there!
Big shoes to fill with the #19 choice.
Naysayers, must be some Manc trolls,
I just hope we haven't blown most of our transfer funds on him.
My biggest fear is we've bought another player who's biggest achievement was playing well against our defense like that's any real challenge. I still have nightmares about Stewart Downing.
Wouldn't it be cheaper for the club to just sign up Southampton's scouts? and no it's not an attempt at humor, i actually mean it
I hope they left the Saints a tip
Thought he's supposed to tear up the league as he's a 1 in 2 ST and Rodgers was replicating Jose's 2005/06 team with Benteke being the new Drogba,
Let's hope that his conditioning doesn't include a session in the Bentekanator tank - the talent mutilator
No mention of Istanbul yet!
They actually asked him about Istanbul ffs
Always makes me laugh that.
Ah, foot in mouth moment,
Remember hearing great things about Mane when he was at RB Salzburg under Schmidt, and he then made the step up at Southampton under Pochettino, so he knows how to work in the high intensity pressing system.

True, but Klopp is a far more talented manager so 1 extra year of Klopp being accustomed to the Premier League is approximately equivalent to 3 years of Jose... I'm confident that our transfer business will pick up seriously after the Euros.

Klopp has brought through so much young talent and I'm excited to see how he'll turn around players like Joe Allen and Lallana. They can be our own British Xavi and Iniesta respectively... not to mention the already world class players Klopp doesn't need to develop (Sturridge, coutinho etc).
Apparently one year of having Klopp in the PL is equivalent to 3 years experience of Jose being in the PL.

He's a United fan pretending to be a Scouser, he's a new user on RAWK and he's been saying daft things like this.

I was thinking about infiltrating the rawk ranks then I realised the effort involved to simulate one of those lot is just far to demanding.

I'm sure they are lapping it up, none the less.

What replies is he getting to his posts?
They have been calling him out for a Bullshitter, they know he is a troll. His name/tagline has been changed too by the RAWK gods
Tagline: Red Cafe plant. RAWK Meltdown click bait.

Don't bother rising to his bait.

ass-95 is a member of Sad Cafe and has been posting on there as a Man Utd supporter. His name there is as-95 though.

Surely the same bloke?
he was as-95 on here as well until the mods saw fit to make his name more fitting
Someone saying he is banned now :(
Pretty sure he's banned anyway. He wasn't very good at being a stealth wum at all.
