MCG will have less swing and the bigger boundaries do play into our hands.
NZ's coach said that the bigger boundaries open up the chance to get twos or three's'which they don't get in NZ. They'll still be able to keep the scoreboard ticking over.

Deserved win for the Aussies. The best two teams in the tournament will make for a cracking final. Hope NZ wins it now. As for India, have done well to come this far after a very average summer. The bowling was always concerning and until today did quite well. Disappointed with Kohli in this tournament, but that's more because of the expectation that he brings and will continue to bring in the future. Good on Dhoni. Wonderful career as a ODI captain and hope I get to see him play again. And Steve Smith is a special player.
Not yet. He's been battering an average bowling line up all winter/summer and was quiet, all tournament, till he got the chance the play against the same attack. We'll be able to truly judge Smith when he tours South Africa, England and the Sub-continent. As of now, he's a good player.

MCG will be totally different proposition for NZ after playing all matches till now in New Zealand. I am fine either way, whoever wins. Australia have by far been the great Cricketing nation overall and will be apt if they reach no. 5 first. NZ on the other hand, well it will be quite a romantic story if they win. Hoping for a cracker and especially, no rain interruption!

Can't see NZ winning it.

Home advantage and two of NZ's weapons (McCullum and swing) are going to be taken away.

I think almost everyone can see that Smith is something special.

Maybe, but not yet. Like I said, you can't judge a player based on one series against one of the worst touring teams in the sport, along with a really average bowling line up, until he tours the nations I named in my previous post. In terms of test cricket, Kohli, who matched Smith in that series and also had a similar World Cup, shouldn't be considered special till he proves himself to be.

He did pretty well against India and England last time we toured those places.

I'd be surprised if NZ won, but you never know. One of their top-3 will have to get a century if they're to win.

Ian Smith will spunk himself if NZ wins.
Him and Warne will be unbearable. Like listening to FanZone.

He did alright, he averaged 40 and 34, respectively, however, he wasn't as mature as the Steve Smith we've witnessed over the last few months. A lot will revealed over the next year or two with regards to his quality. I don't think he's special, yet, but hes definitely capable of being one of the best.

One can safely say that the two teams most deserving to be in final based on performance in this world cup, are in final. Last time, didn't have same feeling with Sri Lanka being in final.

Smithy and Warnie were funny in Auckland during the pool stage, but with the stakes higher they could very well be unbearable. Amazing how emotionally involved commentators are. Warnie commented on how tense and nervous Graeme Smith and Shaun Pollock were on Tuesday.

The NZ commentator was literally screaming like a school girl towards the end of that game.

Can't see past Australia winning the world cup.. Thought they would win it before the tournament started, still feel the same way.. Would be nice for NZ to get their first world cup win though..

Good tournament for us,made it to the semis quite easily.. Didn't have any expectations this time,so I am pretty happy with the way we are played.. I didn't get people expecting us to beat the Aussies.. They are the better team..

Forgot to add,we did beat Pak and preserved that record..

Clarke is absolutely fantastic as captain. No way Australia will even contemplate having him sit out if he is fit. I don't think he is in bad form either, batting wise. Just that few times he had to promote Maxwell for quick hitting and came in at time when he had to play shots straightaway. If Australia are say 10/2 in final, they will need Clarke lot lot more than Bailey.

Well, the toss again proved to be so very crucial. We were never going to chase down 330 on that pitch in a World cup semi. It would have taken a superhuman effort from our batters to achieve that against an excellent bowling attack. I don't think Australia would have chased that score down if we made it batting first.

It hurts not making the finals. Never expected us to do so well in the tournament but that we did, I am very disppointed now.

Hope New Zealand wins. Watching Australia winning their fifth would be hard to take.

Go Kiwis! I am sure most neutrals would be behind them.

Agreed. Best 4 teams into the semis and the best 2 into the final.

Score big and win the game. Not predictable at all. Anyway NZ were my pick, I hope they beat the Aussies.

Yeah all the people around me are saying the same - missed opportunity but an overall satisfying campaign. What are the media saying? I avoid them like the plague these days.

Gutted about today but beaten by a better team. Toss was extremely crucial and more or less decided the match IMO.

Well done to the Indian team though. Played superbly throughout.

#shameontimesnow trending worldwide now. Feeling very pleased with that.

Good try India. Most of this team will be back for another. Let's go NZ! I think Aus will smash them though.
