I think the big worry is that Klopp is available. Brentan should at least stay until Klopp has a job. Maybe he'll take the Chelsea job.
Mourinho to Anfield? The scousers would erupt.
Scousers would know it's their time to win everything, and cosmos had finally found order.
Then they don't win, and he blames everyone. And they blame everyone else.

Klopp would be absolutely insane to take the Liverpool job if it came available.
If Klopp wanted the Liverpool job, Klopp would have been Liverpool manager for a while already.

A@A - <clap, clap> ''well played lads, great effort''

Bloke - (lightheartedly) ''I think you might need a borrow of these, pal''

A@A - ''as a true warrior of RAWK I am now beholden to avenge & deny in equal measure, a sign of providence, the clouds are scudding across the starlit night above us, casting both doom & shadow over the red castle on the hill, we do not walk alone, you will now pay for those shameful words of treacherous disloyalty with a knuckle sandwich''

Steward - ''he's fecked off mate, are you alright?''

My thoughts exactly , I would imagine they will go for a Gary Monk or Koemen level manager , whether they would take it is another question . It does seem a bit of a poisoned chalice just now . Hopefully many meltdowns ahead .

I wonder what sort of package they could offer a manager taking over now?

They've backed Rodgers hugely these last few years and he's left them with a very average squad. Could they offer the same funds again?

More 'Modern Life is Rubbish' stuff from Andy's thread, which is titled (I kid you not) 'You Booing Inbred Wankers':

Please, you honestly think the morons booing the team off the pitch tonight were doing so because they were unhappy with the owners and management? Bollocks. They're booing because they're Sky Sports modern day football Soccer AM watching fecking c*nts that didnt get their £35 worth of entertainment. End of.
Proper fans times are long gone. Wait until FSG raise ticket prices again and the fans that start showing up wear pink hats (there's a reference for you red sox fans), take 50 selfies during a game, bring their iPads, and literally start a riot because Ian Ayre tripped over a wire and Anfield momentarily lost WiFi. Oh yeah, and the kissing cam was was not available.

I love watching them get sparked but chances are if they sack the moron they will hire a competent manager and the spankings will stop.
I don't see it like that. Come Sunday and they can be 8 points off the top. Even if a new manager comes in and they punch above their weight I don't see them being genuine contenders with the current quality of the squad.

Besides it took Klopp 3 years to make Dortmund champions, the previous two they finished 5th and 6th. It's a "process" not overnight success and there is absolutely no guarantee his methods will work in Prem.

It will require Mourinho type of manager for an immediate success and I'm sure Jose wouldn't touch that job even with bluetooth...

I can`t see them going on a big spending spree again so looks like they could be stuck with Lovren , Skrtel ,Sakho and Toure at the back , midfield isn`t much to speak of and Benteke , Ings and Sturridge (when fit) will struggle in my opinion with what is behind them . Exciting times ahead methinks :)

Sadly it's Everton-Liverpool, they've a history of fecking up against Liverpool when playing better than them recently :(
The silver lining of that of course being that the better result Liverpool get, the longer Brentan stays
Nah, they don't have a Suarez or Torres to beast them like in previous years-draw or Everton win!

I've asked three Liverpool fans and they all want Liverpool to lose this weekend so Rodgers gets nearer to the chop. I now want them to win haha.

I have always loved that about Liverpool; 'knowledgable' fans - who understand the inner machinations of what th eclub is, taught by the Headmaster Shankly himself. I always imagined Kopites and fans taking little notes after poor matches then mulling over them in the pub. Now we're booing?
Worse...booing AND smiling while doing it. Guaranteed - a mexican wave after our next home win.

I think they could offer the same funds, but I'm not sure they will, at least not to start with. I really can't see them getting someone like Klopp or Ancelotti to take the job in their current state, and I think the owners will have huge concerns about giving another manager below that caliber the sort of funds Rodgers has been afforded. The problem they'll have then, of course, is that the incredibly average squad Rodgers has assembled has massive gaps that need plugging, and the new manager will be left in the lurch, somewhat like Hodgson was, with minimal funds available. If Rodgers goes, I wouldn't be overly surprised if his immediate replacement is also gone by Christmas 2016.

With the new Premier League deal next season I'd imagine they'll have £50-60m a season to spend unless their owners start taking dividends etc, provided they don't allow their wages to inflate massively with the new money (which is to some degree inevitable). The problem isn't in the funds they can spend, it's in the wages they can offer. They are always going to be a tier below the top 4 in England, which means that they'll be shopping in the tier below.

The only difference with the new TV deal is that they'll be better able to compete with European clubs. They should be able to blow the likes of Dortmund, Juventus, Atletico Madrid etc away in terms of salary/fee. However a lot of player's regardless of the salary will choose the aforementioned clubs anyway due to the Champions League.

Naturally though all other Premier League clubs have these funds also, so buying player's from the likes of Swansea/So'ton will be increasingly difficult and likewise they may come up against mid table PL clubs who're willing to also spend £20-25m on players, pushing fee's for mediocre players up even further.

Surely we could fast track him
If the modmins would agree with that, I can contact him. Although, I always think that skipping the newbie stage is a bad thing and doesn't prepare you to not get banned later.

YESHHHHH, We'll GOOO for it.
Everytime we discuss Andy, someone says 'Oh, we should get him here', and some old timer says 'Oh, but he was already here and banned' and others go 'Haha, funny lol'.

Write a poem for Everton Andy. Rooney apparently is writing one already.

The guy who does the fake Liverpool commentary vids supports Everton doesn't he? That video would be legendary if Liverpool lose the derby.
One of his first video commentaries was actually the derby last year:

An Everton win would be a good way to mark the anniversary of his vids.
