Imagine clapping for fecking Moyes and booing one of our own players. A player who has scored goals against City, Spurs and pretty much cemented our place in the FA Cup final (a cup we hadn't won in 11 years!) by scoring in the Quarters and Semis.

Some of our fans need a slap across the head.

This I don't understand.

Yeah pay is good but still...his role in UTD is basically to come in for the last few mins and chase the ball. Surely he wants more for his career?
Some players are more than happy to pick up a check every week without being heavily involved. He seems like one of those types to me. I don't know who else will pay him what United do as well

I've been a fan of him in the past and appreciate his efforts, but he should leave at the end of the season.

He's done better here than people will give him credit for.Crucial goals in the cup last season, the goal that actually sealed top 4 for us and the goal that basically sealed our place in the group stage of the UCL. That's significant when you consider the struggles we've faced over that period.

Booing him is not great, and its counter productive especially if the manager is going tokeep on using him and backing him.
Saying that, I would love to see TFM used instead of him. If TFM makes a mistake, he would learn from it and it would benefit us long term. I cant see Fellaini changing much from what he is.

Has he ever played holding CM at a first team level?

Seeing the treatment Rashford is getting from sections of fans
, one mistake there for Mensah and the pitchforks would be out.
I'm positively sure there's no bad treatment or feeling towards Rashford. Where how you got this idea from?

Why is he still here..... literally the only player who can ruin my mood before games, especially when the rest of the team looks as good as it does.

Saying that hope he doesnt get booed. Its just I hope he gets subbed as early as possible as playing exciting football with him is next to impossible. Maybe if we push Bailly in midfield and put him in defence there would be a better chance

I hate how Fellainis inclusion in the team makes me instantly negative of whats to come, as said above, I'd much rather play TFM or another youngster, or even a 2 man midfield (even though it holds Pogba back) than to have Marouane in the team.

This.

Seing him in the lineup really kills some of the enthusiasm I have in the buildup.

Id rather have 10 players on the pitch then have Fellaini as that 11th one. He just gets in the way

Madness. Fellaini is a bad fit for the club and not good enough but he's actually contributed in his time here unlike useless players like schneiderlin. Hopefully you hate him too.

I'm not a fan of his qualities but he gets too much grief. At the end of the day the rest of the team is spot on.

It's one player. You must have been depressing during the days of Djemba Djemba Djemba and David Bellion :)
Indeed, it's only one player, but he's such a depressing name to have in the starting lineup, and he usually indicates us playing poor, slow football instead of what we've seen lately. :)

I might've been :wenger:

Yeah tbf schneiderlin while he might be more talented has no balls and goes missing always. I just realllyyyyyyy dislike fellaini because of his lack of any ability while playing, in his defence he always tries hard and I feel bad for how he gets treated at OT by the fans (would never boo him as much as I dislike him). Just games like today he gets in the way wherever he is on the pitch and its annoying.

Lol at people suggesting TFM starting in midfield. We actually need to win these games.

amazing we start Fellaini when we have a fresh Mata and Basti on the bench but Fellaini is not that bad and the rest of the team is perfect so could be worse. Would love to know what goes through Mourinho's mind!

It's obvious.

Fellaini or Herrera will sit at the base of the 4-3-3 whereas if Mata comes in its a 4-2-3-1.

I'd have preferred Schweinsteiger, but that ship has sailed.

Mata would be better as a midfielder in this lineup then fellaini. We'll have like 70% possession today, what use is fellaini going to be when out of possession he gives away free kicks more often then not

It's a change of shape though and by design means a change of formation. Why change a winning formula to go back to something that wasn't working at the start of the season?

Fellaini was the one not working at the start of the season? When mata came in, we played better football with herrera and pogba in midfield (though were just drawing games). In both formations, mata just makes more sense then fellaini. Pogba is not a 10 at all if its a 4231, so playing fellaini behind him isn't how you get the best out of him. Playing mata on the right of a 3 still has Pogba in his best role as a box to box on the left of midfield.

Different though.

Fellaini was playing alongside Pogba with someone (occasionally Rooney or sometimes Mata) in front of them. If we play that again today I'll be amazed.

I'm far from a fan, but shouldn't we wait until the game is finished before we blame him for something? And it's hardly his fault he gets to play, blame the manager

His role will be to get the ball and pass it quickly to Herrera (or Pogba). He wont do anything else imo.

Id rather he plays today than WHU away. (Though i know everybody will point out they wish it was none at all lol)

I wouldn't be surprised to see him putting in a good shift today and scoring.
I'd be very delighted with that, I do not hate Fellaini, but I do believe he offers very little, very often, which is why I'd rather he's not in the team.

Usually I'd point out the aptness of your username, but I have to say I agree.
So... it's not very apt, or am I missing something here? :p

Think people forget how good he was at the start of the season, when playing in a midfield two with Pogba, who went forward at any given moment.

He'll be in a midfield three today, where I can imagine he'll play the holding role. He obviously wont be able to control the game for us like Carrick does, but he is effective at breaking up play and getting stuck in. Hope he has a good game today.
