Another dire performance. In a way these shit performance serves him and especially United right. Instead of just splashing money on has-beens like with Sanchez or Di Maria why can't United properly scout for players. And get those that are not only good, but would actually fit here.

For example did we really need Sanchez? With us having both Martial and Rashford who can play CF and LW? It's clear as day that Sanchez can't play through the center as a number 10 and with Ozil he never played like that in Arsenal. What we needed was someone who can play on the right. Or maybe trough the middle, but drifting to the right (allowing Mata to drift centrally). And we just bought Alexis because he could have been bought.
Agree with this completely. Manager to blame here. I don't think he listens to the scouts or our scouts are shite. Why anyone thought Sanchez was a good idea on a massive deal like he has is incomprehensible.

Unreal this lot though eh?

I swear KVD or Hazard could come here and be labelled not that good, don't fit us, pointless signing etc if they didn't hit the ground running. Right bunch of odd ball fans we have.
Comments like this make me laugh. Do you actually watch our games? Every match he gets the ball, cuts inside, gives the ball away. This has happened now in every match he started, even the Yeovil game (when Keown mentioned it but he was just bitter apparently).

He has made our two inform players be shifted to the right hand side. Why did we not just buy a RW. We now have 3 LW and no RW.

I will give him the benefit that he needs a summer off and will come back next season. However a guy who is demanding £400k+ should be performing straight away. That is why we pay that sort of money.

Unfortunately over the last 5 years the club seems to pay anyone who will come to us that sort of money, without achieving anything and now we can’t shift any of the crap in our squad.

Can’t believe he has a 6.2 average on here. Madness.
New signing+big name bounce.

He has been very bad, not just individually but in how it has affected others. Lingard was doing great in a number 10 role off Lukaku, has barely played there since Sanchez came, Martial was finally showing some consistency, has sat on the bench, and Pogba is looking as he is tooo precious to play with another star.

I wonder if we put a clause in his contract so we can extricate ourselves with minimum damage financially if he continues putting in these shite performances?

For £600, 000 per week, he needs to offer way more.

It´s clear that he is not going to play as a right winger. So, which position do you think he should play for us?

Just don't see why we signed him really. We already have Martial and Rashford to play on that wing. Neither are as good as Sane or Mane yet, but they're good enough to rotate between themselves.

We really needed a RW like Mahrez. Instead we have Sanchez who's worse than than Martial and Rashford, and those two either on the bench or out of position. 3 LW's and still no one on the RW.

I'm sure he will come good for you guys next season but he has been absolutely awful since he signed for you for some reason. I like him as a player and think on his day he is great but I've never thought of him as a world class player. Any idea what's going on with him?
The second he came in we decided to juggle all our other attacking players around to accommodate him, it just broke any rhythm in the team. When that didn't work we started dicking around with our midfield. He just hasn't settled and has looked a bit lost, like hes hanging out with arsenal mon - fri and shows up 20 mins before kick off. Its kind of an impossible situation for him - Lingard, Martial and Rashford dont look that assured about what they're doing or where everyone is.
Its turned out to be a weird little piece of self sabotage really.

I hope the club learns a lesson here. No more players on the wrong side of 30 for big fecking wages not named Messi or Ronaldo - no other players are worth these big salaries. Or take a punt and tell the player you get a basic basic salary, if you want more you have to earn it. If the player doesn't want that then we move on.

Can't keep getting these players on massive salary. If a player doesn't work out, we need to be able to bin them without losing too much financially.

He's been off. And he's killing the team. He needs to be benched. Just as Jose gets credit for luring him to United. He deserves blame for continually playing him even though he's been shit.

What I won't blame Jose for though, is Sanchez's inability to complete a fecking pass, or successfully dribble the ball. That's not Jose's fault.

Are you the ref?
Sanchez clearly has to be dropped, not least for his own good.

The question is whether Jose, with all his big man cojones, has the guts to do it.

You should drop him. Wenger couldn’t because Sanchez was clearly the best player at Arsenal and dropping him created more hostility from an already hostile fan base.

Dropping him might give him a kick up the arse that he clearly needs. I genuinely don’t know what he’s brought you that you didn’t have before, other than another name to boost shirt sales with.

I wouldn't drop him tbh. I'd play him every match remaining so he settles and isn't as woeful next season, this season is basically done. I'd stick him on the right though. Need to shake up too much stuff to fit him on the left and hes not particularly good 10.

He's no good on the left, and Lingard was playing much much better behind Lukaku. So he has to play on the right, or Mourinho needs to compensate the club for Sanchez's wages and we can then bin him. We have better options for positions in which he wants to play. Mourinho should do what's best for the team.

I'm better than Messi (even though I'm not)
Could Mkhitaryan be any worse than this? Sanchez has been absolutely awful, running around a lot just doesn’t cut it. He dwells on the ball far too long, misses opportunities to play the ball in behind and can’t seem to even get a proper connection when shooting. He had a snap chance tonight, not easy but should’ve at least got enough power to reach the goal from 10 yards. He’s been offering absolutely nothing, so far completely different player than the one we thought we got

Sanchez' arrival has simultaneously cut short the hot form of our best and most in form attacker (Martial), as well as ruined the form of our most talented midfielder/creator (Pogba), in ways he reminds me of the Rooney of last season and LVG's second season, just so poor sometimes.

I said several times before we signed Sanchez: "I'm very happy with the signing as long as he plays central or on the right, if hes gonna go to the left side, I'd rather not sign him."

Please Jose, drop him! Hes got no pace, poor ability to keep possession, and frustratingly he never seems to want to hit a shot first time, he always takes a touch, he would've scored today had he not taken a touch, he wouldve scored against Chelsea recently, just hit it first time Alexis!

He is way older than Martial, and quite simply he is clearly an inferior player. Martial has surpassed/overtaken him this season.

We should have signed Riyad Mahrez, a few years younger and actually a right winger, and he was definitely available, he nearly went to City.

Now we are stuck with the Chilean version of LVG rooney, for at least until the end of next season.

Fantastic... ☹

He doesn't have pace, he just has quick feet, has he lost a yard of pace in the last 6-9 months, or was he just never that quick, deceptively slow, so to speak?

Unfortunately at United he also has seemed to lack any sort of composure, if he had the composure of Mata on the ball he'd be a gun.

Also, besides Anderson , has a South American player ever done well at United overall?

He's been very poor, I can stand a player having bad form if he atleast shows passion and will, he does that. Can't be said about all our players.

But... But the transfer muppets said he was still "world class"...

I suggested it was maybe not the brightest move to spend loads of money and £500k per week on an aging player, who relies on explosiveness, and might be past his best, and was roundly lambasted by the muppets and the "it's not your money" crowd...

Now we've got someone who has so far only disrupted the starting XI and severely disrupted the wage structure. Can't wait to see how things are 2-3 years from now when he's still got a while to go on his mega contract and we're in a new Rooney situation. Hope I'm wrong.

Base on his form and our form ever since he joined, he’s probably the worst big-name signing we ever had.

Pogba hasn't been great tbf.. and was 90m. Point is: hard to judge anyone properly with Mourinho as manager. As he showed with how he used Salah and de bruyne

Di Maria says hello.

Sanchez still has time to turn things around and I think he will. At the moment all our players aren’t really great besides Lukaku.

Sorry but it's becoming really obvious he's declined athletically. Not much but certainly enough to impact his high risk style. Few years ago he would turn on a dime and constantly leave defenders wrong footed, it was like a 270° cruyff turn. Now the move looks so slow and barely creates separation from his marker if it even manages to work.

He isn't Xavi or Silva, he's an aggressive bulldog like Rooney was and I can see him having a similar decline path

The biggest reason why I wanted him was that I thought he'd be the man to finally fill that spot on the right. Martial on the left, Sanchez on the right. Dream come true.

Not only is he playing on the left, he's not even playing well!

he's not been at his best, he tries incisive passes but we don't have any movement in attack or overlapping fullbacks so it usually ends up in nothing, he often tries to cut from the left and ends up in traffic, and despite that, every match, even when he seems to be having an awful match, he ends up creating/being part of a key chance for us. last week it was a great ball for mata, today he tee'd up fellaini. also, his willingness to fight for the ball is unparalleled.

i'm not worried about him, his quality is evident, but due to his profile and the nature of his departure from arsenal, people are amplifying his struggles rather than the shortcomings of United as an attacking unit.

Pogba has never been great, not even close to a world class player. The remembered midfield that Juventus had was Marchisio, Vidal and Pirlo.

Alexis is world class but not in form, at a team out of form, and actually the worst team I've seen Alexis play for... I'm being benevolent calling them a "team".

Are you watching closely?
This is all too familiar. We buy a player who has proven himself to be extremely talented, then as soon as he puts on a United shirt he plays like Charlie Adam.

I'm going out on a limb here and saying it's due to our abysmal tactics and style of play. Honestly believe we could sign Messi and he'd turn to shite.
Exactly. It's not a coincidence.

UTD! I am not fond of the Glazers.
It is really bizarre how bad he is right now. Has to be something to do with the tactics or players around him and what not. I would play Rashford or Martial left and leave Alexis out the team for a while. It is just not working.

I feel sorry for Martial who is a better player than Sanchez this season getting dropped to accommodate him. It's not fair that Sanchez can play poor game after poor game yet still have a starting spot whilst Martial plays 4/5 good games yet one poor game and he's back on the bench. Just drop him completely and go back to what was working in early January.

Utterly useless player. All he does is get dispossessed. Might get better with time but at the moment how he is starting over Mata is beyond me.

World class attacking player comes to United. Expectations are high. We play defensive football and ruin them. Repeat.

They say Alexis needs time to settle, but Mkhitaryan doesnt need it.

It shows whats wrong inside the club.
