Or a dislike of Liz Truss specifically.

This is the new leader temporary bounce. They'll have to ask again after the Tories impose Austerity Mark 2 and more scandals come out.
True. The big issue the tories have is they’ve reached the limits of Thatcher economic policy. The only people left to go after now is their own voters(mortgage holders).

Although tbh it’s also a problem for the Labour Party as it pretty much believes in the same economic policies.

Point one, yes you are a champagne socialist or riddled with envy.

Point two. Sunak‘s parents saved up to send him to a public school as the state schools (under Labour) were crap. He was a millionaire in his twenties as he was a partner in two successful hedge funds like it or not they are not illegal, maybe immoral, but he worked for it. He and his wife, according to the Sunday Times rich list are worth £770m, not quite a billion. Her Dad , however, is a multi billionaire which is not Sunday’s fault. As for ‘pointedly’ not paid taxes, how do you know? She may have paid taxes abroad and has committed to pay any UK tax which she is liable for. Do you know Burgon’s tax history? Has Tony Blair paid UK tax on his £50m fortune? No, you don’t know and neither do I. Check your facts before you slag peope off. It’s the ‘Angela Rayner effect’. When the Stockport siren was doing her usual Tory scum/sleeze act in Parliament (classy) criticising donations to a particular member, she hadn’t checked her figures and it turned out that she had received four times the amount of donations that the whole Tory party in a three month period.

Carder politician, if Sir Kier isn’t a career politician, what he in it for? His parents were staunched Labour supporters. Sir Kier is now banging on with his nodding head about Sunak not going to the COP meeting, you know the one where thou of delegates fly into some capital city, get limos to ai conditioned hotels and spend days and millions telling the rest of the world how bad it is to fly thousands of people thousands of miles. If Sunak was going, no doubt Sir Kier would ask why he was going when the Country was in a cost of living and energy crisis. It’s called politics, you can’t win. Neither can I or anyone else on this thread. I have lived through many Governments and none of them were perfect.
No helping you lad.

I think it will be tax rises (on middle earners) and falling house prices that finish them off. If I were them I'd consider calling an election now, not that Sunak would risk being able to play the boss of course.

The entire time Sunak was at school we had a tory government, you're aware of that right?
It’s painful isn’t it? People are so poorly informed, they spend their entire lives blaming Labour for things the Tories have done.

Truss was doing it during her leadership campaign.

Remember when that volcano in Iceland erupted and sent a cloud of ash over the UK? That was the same year (2010) when Labour was defeated. Lady Gaga also had the hit single Bad Romance. Mass Effects 2 was released in 2010. It's been 12 years, TWELVE years and still dumbass people complain about the woes of today on Labour. fecking imbeciles.

Technically not true, in his last couple of years Labour were in power but they were out of power for 18 years before 1997. Claiming that his schooling was Labour's fault is completely ludicrous however, the Tories had actually held power for the longest period in modern British political history before Tony Blair won in 1997. They were as responsible as any party could be for the state of the schooling system.

I'm guessing that Sunak's parents sent him to Winchester so he'd get access to elite society and maybe become PM one day. I suppose it worked.

I think @Offsideagain is trolling here though.

I was on holiday in Gran Canaria. We were basically the last flight home before they started extending people’s holidays free of charge :(

I found this article an interesting read. More about his wife than him though. I made this point shortly after he became PM, it’s lazy analysis to say he will be a crap PM because he’s rich. There’s plenty of reasons to hate him, being the actual stuff he has done and said, but you undermine your own argument if you simply boil it down to “coz he is rich”.

Thatcherism....if it doesn't work, you've got to double down and just do things "harder" and make more people suffer. Because the ideology itself is certainly not to blame. In fact if things are going wrong, that probably means you're on the right track  :wenger:

Ideological extremists can never comprehend why their ideologies fail.

Not sure of this is true, if it is I certainly haven't heard of it, Angela Rayner receives 4x more cash in donations than the whole Tory party?
Presuming this must be a parody post, otherwise lots of it is just pure rubbish.

I'm not. They're desperate to pretend the chaos has stopped so they'll just power through rather than have further changes right now.
This is what they've been trying to do for 3 years now. The problem with that strategy, for the tories, is that they simply won't follow the rules. So the next scandal comes before most people have calmed down from the last one.
