Aus have to be favourites right now.

Bottle job by NZ. Gotta hand it to Starc though, you can't expect tail-enders to survive those yorkers.

Well, that'll do it. Made spectacularly hard work of it, mind.

Chased them in less than half the overs. Thrashing...

Excellent game and great spirit from both teams. Much better than watching one team score 400 and the other fall apart.

The two best games so far have been low scoring matches with a thrilling chase. Afghanistan vs Scotland and NZ vs Aus.

Mitchell Johnson 6-1-68-0

Mitchell Starc 9-0-28-6

Arguably the most anticipated match of group stage lived up to its hype.

Johnson lost them the match imo. Horrible bowling.
That's harsh. Their horrible batting lost them the match. With a half decent total on board, McCullum wouldn't have tried to clobber every ball for a six. Secondly, Johnson is the guy who injured McCullum with that short ball. Since then he didn't look the same player. That was the turning point for me.

Whatever the total, mccullum would have played in the same manner. Its just his game.

It is harsh as their batting did lost them the match but if he had bowl halfway close to his best, they would have won it. look at starc and cummins who also bowled to mccullum and neither of them got destroyed in the same manner.

This pitch looks lively. Shame none of the knockouts are in Perth.
