Higher than what? He came in at 4 today. At 3 and 4 you just don't have time to use 10 overs to settle. At one stage he had 9 from 29 balls and the RR fell from middle 5's to low 4's. Khan was (for once) playing well until Misbah arrived. Misbah's arrival staggered the innings. 300+ was on the cards and his negativity completely killed all the momentum.

Thanks, woke up late so didn't see most of the Pakistan innings so wasn't aware that he came in at 4. Still, seems he needs some overs to get going and with the rain and everything it looks like he couldn't get going.
 
Some player called Balbirnie absolutely trashing Zimbabwe.
 
I think they wanted to show that they could chase runs too. Good thing for Pakistan because if SA had batted first and got over 300, the D/L method would have made Pakistan's run chase extremely hard.
 
Ireland overall look lot better than other associates and dare I say on par with few test nations like WI-Zim-Ban if not better. Will be sad if they miss out on next world cup.

That's why you play a specialist keeper. Umar's a good fielder but he wouldn't have caught that.
 
How obvious was it playing Sarfaraz as a wicket-keeper from the beginning of the tournament? He's no slouch with the bat either. Surely would have made a difference to the side.
 
Great performance by the Pakistani bowling attack. If Yasir Shah returns, it is a quality attack full of pace and flair.

Can't stand the batting though. . Misbah really does invite pressure and forces others to hit reckless shots. The balance isn't right at the moment. . Get rid of Akmal too.. waste of space.

Nah, I wasn't. I just thought it was a weird thing to come out with, so assumed we the best response in kind I could offer was a similarly childish one.
