Remember last season when they were telling us Markovic was one of the brightest prospects in world football?

Talk me through this graph..?
They look at what Liverpool have done in their matches then pretend like that's the true measure of greatness, so Liverpool come top of the moral league.

Eg. 10 points for scoring a dodgy offside goal, 20 points for hitting the bar and post within 30s of each other, 3 goals for every 1 scored from outside the area, 5 points for sentimentality of fans...

They have their excuses ready so if we beat them that it would have been a different outcome if he was playing..
You'd think. The excuse will rather be like: "Whiskey nose got our Philipo sent off - the pact with the Satan still exists!".

Admire this guy's sense of humour.
We controlled the game magnificently but we let ourselves down with one or two lapses in concentration. We're a young team and we'll go away and learn from this.

Just need a new defence, midfield and attack, should be good to go.
Well played West Ham. Had a simple game plan that baffled Rodgers.
If only we had over £200 million to spend on transfers the past few season......O wait

Shit on a stick. Absolute shit on a stick. Worse than shit ona stick. A mediocre, runny, watery, smeary shit on a mediocre sized stick. Mediocre. That is the operative word here.
I think he's trying to communicate.

The biggest question mark for me is why, when we are 2-0 down to West Ham at home, do we have to completely scrap our plan, go back to a 3-4-3 which killed out attacking play last season, and leave 3 centre-backs on the pitch? Just swapping Gomez for Moreno would have done fine.
To which the reply was:
Too simple for Brendan

Normal service resumes

They should really be sitting on 3 draws and a loss if the referees were competent in the slightest.

Apart from our attack, defence, tactics, passing, movement, shooting, heading, tackling, blocking, pressing and manegement, I thought we looked alright there.

Today on Coutinho -

you couldn't be negative if you tried

I tell you what... if everyone on the entire team was playing as well as Phil, I reckon we'd walk the league and Europe

And even then... he has plenty of room to get even better! How exciting is that

Later -

The strain is already showing really, his body language has been one of a frustrated chap.. He boiled over today.

This one has some sense. He'll be banned later.

Said it after we got 6 points from 6:

This is the worst team we've had for 23 years. Despite spending 200m odd we are completely at the mercy of Sturridge's fitness for goals and on Coutinho's form for creativity.

Take those 2 players out and all you have is a mid table team. Mid table teams sometimes lose to the likes of West Ham 3 0 at home. It's no real surprise.

People were so happy after the first 2 games but it was completely ridiculous. We were absolutely tumescent in those 2 games, playing some of the worst "football"since the Roy Hodgson days. Like last season, when we had something like 6 consecutive clean sheets, if you keep playing awful football and getting lucky then don't expect it to last.

We've scored 2 goals in 4 games, one which shouldn't have stood. There's no goal threat, no creativity, a bunch of central midfielders which are all workers and runners but offer little apart from that and a dodgy center back partnership that have an error in them.

This season is going to make the last one look ok in comparison.
