How can they stand there with a microphone in their face when they're clearly heartbroken? No need. We don't need them to make him to tell us how gutted he is, he's clearly in agony. Media pisses me off at times.

Couldn't he come out of retirement just for the 4x100m in 2020? Make it a round 10.

Wow, Usain Boltnis incredible!

Gutted I missed it live last night, and I forgot to record it.l too.

That's twice now that I've woken up to the news alerts on my phone, ruining it for me ffs.

You can watch it on iPlayer.

But they seemed to have American commentary on the 200m final for some reason, rather than the excellent BBC team.

Under a tree.
I still dont understand the Taekwondo fight where he lost in the last moment.
Hasn't anyone see a replay of it? i only saw it live and not a seen repeat yet.

I dont really know the rules but there was 1 second on the clock, did the kick land exactly within the time? or does it need too once launched?
With that said i dont understand why he just did not back away, basically run like in boxing, or is that an automatic point to the other opponent?

I only saw it on iPlayer last night and so it's hard to tell how well the audio and visuals were synced. The kick appeared to land very close to the buzzer, close enough to warrant a bit of analysis but the BBC didn't seem interested and neither did the athlete or coach which might say it all. The other bit I didn't quite understand is when he landed a kick midway through the last round but it didn't count because his hand pushed up the helmet, the kick appeared to still strike the head/neck on the replay (may be wrong as iPlayer was a bit shit with the live feed). I suppose most of my confusion comes from watching a sport I have no real grounding in and thus not being able to put anything in to a valid context.

He did try to back away a little but you have to remain within a certain area or you pick up a foul (can't remember the term they use), he already had one and would have incurred a penalty point if he got another (which I think would have tied up the score). He just seemed to get caught unawares by the spinning attack (twice) and with an opponent that tall that could have closed a 1-2m distance in a single move.
