Ibra is a silly signing really.

We should be going in for that 12 year old Polish lad, he would only cost a few million and give us 20 years of his skillz.

If it's true that he wants to wait for his loyalty bonus when his contract has expired before signing, when does his contract actually expire? Tonight or tomorrow night? (Ie on June 30, or after June 30?)

Midnight on the 30th, so as of 1 July he is without a contract.

Is it just me that isn't really that excited by this? Not because he's not a fantastic player but we've pretty much known this would happen for over a month, not that it's not nice to get some clarification over the deal mind you.
Saying that, I'll probably be a bit giddy when he's holding the shirt with Jose

I'm not excited because he is a bit of a dick and I know he will annoy me greatly at times

Yeah when you see him stood in front of that black board with the badge and sponsors on holding the shirt up and another with him signing that blank bit of a4 you'll be bouncing.

I'm excited about Zlatan. I mean it's fecking Zlatan! Free transfer, winning mentality and leadership, that's what he brings to the team. Something we lack

The likes of Rashford and Martial will learn a lot from him and he won't harm their development at all. Hard to not get excited!

I'm board of the tedious circles that we go through on this and the Mkhitaryan thread but I can't bring myself to unwatch.

This is my first transfer window here so maybe i need to build some durability and stamina. We aren't even in July yet.

In a nutshell. Those who aren't pleased with a signing like this need a hard look at themselves. Who else do we sign of Ibra's quality that wouldn't hamper Rashford/Martial' development is the question I'm asking. Benzema? Muller? Aubameyang? All who are as ungettable as it gets and would be at the club for years.

Once you see our lineup on paper with the name "Ibrahimovic" leading the line you will get butterflies in your stomach!

Honestly this is the perfect signing. We need a proper star player and he's old enough not to stall the development of our other attacking players. We need an injection of success. No time to wait/test our other players. The closest you can get to gaurenteed goals is Ibrahimovic.

I can't get over people moaning about Mikh and Ibra signings.

Boggles the mind.

No I'm more talking about the way ibra goes on and thinks so highly of himself
And rightly so. He is a world class striker who has won a lot and scored 100s of goals.

We have enough nice guy Matas, we need ruthless winners again.

Fergie would have been all over this deal too.

I hope it's a 1+1 year deal so the club has the option to get a second year from him. He's worldclass, one of the best strikers in the world finally here.

He is a bit of a knob and he certainly thinks very highly of himself. But he also comes across as a player who fiercely backs his club and teammates and will stand up in a fight against opposition.

It's what we're desperate for to be honest. Someone who won't crack under pressure and will make things happen when other people run out of ideas. I'm tentative regarding his age and how good he still is at the top level but, balls to it, it's Zlatan Ibrahimovich and I can't wait to find out.

According to the above quote from Raiola it seems Zlatan is closer to joining Milan.
It's Raisport asking Raiola if he still hasn't decided and if not is Italy an option.

There's no Raiola quotes.

Don't you mean 18 years of skills? We'll have to replace him as soon as he hits 30.

We're signing him on what a two year contract? But no one is considering how good he'll be next year when he's 44 and the following year when he turns 56.

Lets not. Last time it resulted in this:

"Vardy
Lukaku
Higuain
Milik
Janssen
Ighalo
Gameiro
Slimani
Raffael (Borussia Monchengladbach)
Cavani

I'd rather take a risk on any of these 10 than Ibra - that is how little I think he will contribute to this team.

That list is only of player who I expect to be very attainable. Not to mention 2 option who would fit the bill perfectly - Kane and Aubumeyang. I know they will be almost impossible to get."

Unfortunately Vardy is not possible anymore though.
You're shitting me right? I'd take Higuain maybe. But you'd take Milik/Ighalo/Gameiro over Zlatan?
