According to the quotes in this post

RAWK Goes Into Lockdown 2017/20-18 Edition

Personally, not heard him linked to anyone else.
That is why I asked, not heard or read other clubs being interested in him, but they beat best clubs to get him. RAWK, eh.

Ah true, tbh the little I have seen of him hasnt impressed me but I shall pay attention this season.
We all will, he will be most watched non PL player next season- There should be his own Bundesliga thread.

I love the fact that as soon as they are linked to a player (that most of them have never heard of before the linkage) that player is suddenly the best of the best! They never notice that 95% of the time no other team at all is linked to that player, they know they are world class. Keita looks a good prospect, but hes has 1 good season, no other team wanted him but according to them he is Messi at least in his stats, no-one comes close to what he achieves

Remeber that shit goalie they bought for 5p last season that was the best young keeper in the world, and even now they quote that his stats are Noyar level! Plus he is so young apparently, but he is actually 25? Salah is quoted time and again as the buy of the season world wide. But every player anyone else buys is shit. Makes you wonder why they never win anything at all? Apparently, Coutinho is not even approaching his best as he is only 25, but VVD will be past it at 26 if he doesnt sign for them etc etc

AOC was amazing according to them and could play in virtually any position only this morning, now hes off to Chelsea he shit

I can not remember a player signing for them over any other team for literally many many years? All their signings no-one else is interested in at all, yet they always act like they have beaten everyone for the signature and the player only wanted to play for them (because they were the only ones bidding?)

Plus they are always pleading poverty (4th highest wages in the league) and saying what they achieve (err, nothing?) is amazing as they are so poor compared to the rest of the teams. But in the actual same sentence will then say that a player will only sign for them as virtually no other team can pay the wages they do! Doing in now with Lemar, they are 1 of only 3 teams that can afford him, while at the same time working on yet another alternative league table for them being poor! They are just so deluded

Did you all see the 67 pages (yes, 67 pages) on the VVD thread today where they were tracking a private jet with him on flying to sign for them? Then people were following silver peopel carriers round loserpool saying he was in it!!

I genuinely believe this season will be the melt down to end all melt downs, I really can't wait!

Not at all, but they're very dangerous team and if Keita keeps improving then he's a superb addition.
Only right that we have rawk spies such as you, we have ones on your site

So, honestly, when do you think it will actually be your year?

I recall that lot signing Coates and RAWK immediately claiming him better than Jones (having signed with United that summer). Coates was one of those player few had heard of in all likelihood.

Then there's always the "rather have Kewell than Duff" circa 2003. There was at least one preferring Kewell to Ronaldhino.

Keita has a lot of admirers in Germany. I work with a few germans and they rate him highly. Lacks a bit of size but has good technique and skill set. Clop can improve him as he is still only 22. We have potentially a tremendous player. Remember I did say potentially. Anyway it will be interesting to watch him in the Champions league this year

Bit strange agreeing to sign him next year though, no? Like, I'm not digging at Liverpool, but the PL is going to be very competitive this year and you are back in the CL, without really improving your squad. Coutinho may stay, but obviously isn't happy. In all likelihood he will be gone next year. If your squad gets stretched too thin and you struggle in both the PL and the CL (Not saying you will, but it's a possibility. Just look at United and the Europa League last year when our League form suffered.) and you miss out on top 4, won't that be seen as a bit of a disaster?

If he's as good as some are claiming he is, wouldn't it have been worth forcing the issue and paying more and getting him in right away?

They spent all summer trying to do just that. Leipzig made it clear Keita would play for them this season. If anything, you have to question the decision to put all their eggs on him and not reinforce the midfield this season with someone else

Yeah, that's kinda what I was thinking. He may be very good, but they need someone now.

Apparently he's going to win them multiple league titles :houllier:

"4 pages for the signing that's going to win us multiple league titles .... no pleasing you people"

"Does anyone know if it's true that Barca put a bid in for Keita just to be told he was having a medical at Liverpool? Dear God I hope it is "

"I think we're developing corporate swagger as a Club.

feck Barca, we've more money than them.

Money is just a commodity to our owners.

They came in thinking FFP and have now decided to play Moneyball 2.0 to run with these feckers.

Keita and VVD licking their lips for us is going to raise talented young ears to think about the adulation that every one of our prior stars has spoken of and start thinking of us as a plum destination because of Klopp and the project, not our history."

Hope he's bang average this season. I doubt most of them had even heard of him a couple of months ago.

Bald guy top left, wearing a blue+white check shirt. He enters the frame late in preceedings, presumably heading for the exit along with Liverpools title hopes that season.

Never noticed that one before.

I hope they get VVD too next season just so I can laugh at their absolute shite talk come May 2019.

How are they always so confident going into every season? They should be used of failure.

I trust he's already eclipsed the careers of Scholes, Robson, Giggs, Beckham, Lampard etc; already?

Funny thing is they are going to brag he chose Liverpool over Chelsea when in reality it was Chelsea's bench.

They opened their Ox thread in May when they were first linked to him:

£20m on a very injury prone player is madness.
Full Back or no full back.. I hope we say FULLY clear of him..
It was £35m a month ago so we're playing a blinder here already.
Chamberlain is the type of fullback we need to break down packed defences. Been so good recently that Wenger has preferred him over Bellerin. But as a CM or a winger, he is gash really.
Equalled his highest goal tally for Arsenal in the league this season since he went there 5/6 years ago: 2

He's got wool for brains, and next year he'll be out of contract. I think I'd cry.
The only link I'm uncomfortable with. Fail to see which areas he improves us, if at all.

Plus, another one who can't start more than 20 odd games a season.

Steer fecking clear.
He only has one year on his contract .So if he refuses to sign a new contract doubt they will hold on for anything more than 20-25 mil

This will probably go till late August and about who blinks first.
^^^ you did, you blinked first.

I'd be happy if we got him for 20m. It would seem a crazy amount 3 years ago for a injury-proneish player in his last year contract year but fees are crazy now... I don't think 20m is gonna make a dent in our transfer funds this summer especially if we get rid of all our useless guys.
He's shite. Glorified Jordon Ibe.
Ok, Let's jump forward to today shall we...

Sheesh.
What a crazy few days, transfer committee have really shown their worth.
Great price, great value, and an exceptional talent.
And what on earth has Klopp been saying to the likes of Chamberlain, Van Dijk, et al, to make them turn down offers to join a) the reigning champs and/or b)teams that finished above us that also purchase players with monopoly levels of cash.

What a great signing Klopp has been.
A decade down the line, we'll look back on the season we signed him as one of the most significant moments in our rich history.
Klopp will take this lad to another level and Chamberlain knows it too.

I've just made a small investment in us to win the league. to be honest I'm not sure we will but that money will give me good value over the next eight months. If VVD also signs tomorrow, today's odds will look feckin unbelievable. These are great times.
RAWK NOTICE

If he signs we've got an OP ready for his own thread so please don't start one on the main board as it will be deleted

Alert a Mod and we'll get it going.
If Klopp wants him here I am glad to have him here. In a way it's a bit strange, since despite us seeming to have a stated interest for quite a while the transfer itself still feels out of the blue.

Looking forward to seeing him develop in Red into the potential player he was meant to become when he first got into the Arsenal team.
had a gander at the gooners forums, they are fecking livid that he came to us over chelsea.

Apparently Southampton are getting 8-10m from the sale as well. Surely they can give us VVD after all the money we've pumped into their club now!?

Outstanding, watching them trying to deflect over the ridiculous price for an attacking player with no end product after ridiculing us for Pogba last year is hilarious. Decent player who I'm sure Klopp will improve but Christ it has to be up there with one of the worst transfer fees I've seen so far

I wonder if I can compare rawk reactions to the Ox deal and another high profile player to leave Arsenal in the last year of his contract. (RVP)

20 million would be fabulous business, for Arsenal.
24m is way too much for a player with one year left on the contract. Hope he fails there.
24M? With one year left? More shite transfer business froom those silly c*nts.
... £24m

Well played, Arsene.

  1. The timer ends on 88:13
  2. 20 times is the amount of time United have won the league
  3. 8 + 8 +1 + 3 = 20
  4. Also nobody has ever found the loose studs Gerrard left in the Anfield pitch on his way to the title

The guy behind him - exalting whoever he worships (Fowler?) to notch 13 goals in the last 10 minutes of the game is a new one for me

I can't wait to see this mod post that is so magnificent it has to have 1st place on a thread that doesn't exist yet for a player they haven't signed yet. With full ''you will not post anything at all'' injunction already in place,.

Be a PoP II classic of about 6 pages is my prediction, stats that make your eyes bleed & boatloads of picture gibberish.

People saying Klopp can improve the Ox is another reason for Arsenal to admit it's time to sack Wenger.

7 clean sheets in our last 9 Premier League games would suggest we are dealing with our defensive frailties
Now they arent getting VVD (they never were) apparently their defense is already one of the best in the league!

Lovely stat above to prove it as you can see, ignoring the facts that the last games of last season were against teams with nothing to play for (Middlesborough, West Ham, Watford, Crystal Palace etc) they choose to ignore that the 15 games before that "run" they got 1 clean sheet!

Or the fact that in the 4 competitive fixtures this season already they have let 6 goals in!

So basically they have bought another winger coz they needed that (!!) and a player that can play anywhere apparently but isnt actually any good in any position, so another injury prone midfielder then! Flopp really is a genius

Another stat they are loving now is the fact that AOC only missed 5 games last season through injury. Again gleefully missing the facts that the 3 seasons before that one he missed: 19, 21, 34 games respectively. And with Flopps way of playing (lets all run really fast and see if we win) he will get even more injuries

Defo their year

PS, give this poster his due though, made me lol

Liverpool offer Sakho and Markovic for Alexis Sanchez

Anything over £25 million for him is absolutely absurd. He's done nothing to justify a price tag any higher than that.
Would rather one player that'll cost £50 than two £25 mediocre ones
instead paying £40m for one mediocre

Would be a hilariously stupid signing

After bidding

Always liked this guy.
love the idea of getting Chambo
Always wanted him, think he's perfect for our system and Klopp.

Bonus:
"Martin Skrtel has more PL goals in the last four years and hasn't played in the PL in 15 months"
