Lacking concentration today and shocking. It wasn't just the goals.

Played a cracking pass early on to Rashford but that was just awful

Clearly at fault for the goal, he played diouf onside then lost his man for the goal
He's not on his game today, when he jumped up and almost injured himself he allowed them a clear chance too.

Played him onside and then somehow doesn't get goal side for the cross. Terrible defending.

But let's not get on the lads back. Everyone makes a mistake and he's got so much potential.

Very poor defending by him. He seemed very uninterested. Jose must address with all the players. You have to be committed for 90 mins and not just stroll in the ground.

Really lazy for the goal. Not like him. Needs to up his game in the 2nd half.

Been out of sorts since the clash with Fletch. Was he away with Ivory Coast? Looks tired.

Has a reputation on here that's better than he actually is.
I think so too. Right now he's a good defender with the potential to be a great one but a lot of people on here seems to rate him as a world class defender which he's not yet. I think right now Jones is our best defender but Bailly certainly has the potential to be a better one.

The feck was he doing there in the end? Not clearing the ball inside the box and taking 5 calamitous touches before conceding a corner.

He is a liability. He's been doing it since the moment he got here. He gets himself into trouble then has to throw himself into crazy challenges to save his ass then get somehow gets credit for trying to sort out the problem he created in the first place.

It was just a bad day from him I feel, I think there are some overreactions.

Was slow for the first goal and again for that Jese attempt that leaded to the corner for their second goal.

Hes good when we are spending the whole game in the oppositions half as he clears up the lose balls and gets into challenges quickly. When the opposition put us under pressure and attack in and around our box he is pretty shaky.

I'm a huge fan, but he was dire today. Probably our worst player on the field today. I was nervous whenever he got near the ball.

Not always. He's not either of those when he has a good game and that happens quite often imo.
He only has good games when we are battering minnows. Hes never good when we are under pressure.

Looked like a headless chicken today. I've noticed as well how he constantly just gets rid of the ball. He barely ever looks for a pass.

He reminds me a lot of a young Ramos, good on the ball and very aggressive, but defensively suspect at times. Ramos has ironed out his defending a lot more as he's gotten older so hopefully Bially can do the same. I'll admit I'm not the biggest of him yet as I prefer defenders to be strong defensively first and he's had a couple of moments like today, but I do like him because he's not afraid to play the ball out which severely limits players like Smalling who otherwise are very sound players. Hoping Bailly improves with experience as he's still pretty young for a defender.

1st goal was like a movie scene for me - never thought he would be so unconcentrated

In Smalling's pocket (as every other person)

Ramos' defending is still suspect very often, Pepe was the superior defender by far, Ramos maybe all-round the superior player.

Real concede quite a lot of chances, it is strange.

He was all over the place mentally today.

Even when de gea made that great save before their goal he was playing their player on side.

Think it was the travelling all over Africa?

No worries
Not sure if I've ever seen him play as poorly as that. To me, he just looked like someone completely uninterested in being on a football pitch.

Pepe is indeed the superior defender (one of the best I've seen personally) and Real do concede a fair few, but I think Ramos' defending is a bit underrated these days. Often they're playing very attacking and Ramos is sat on the half way line, so he has to defend from there and I feel he does it very well. When they're camped inside their own half like they were when they played the Barcelona of a couple years back, he's not Vidic or Pepe level but he's still pretty good. What you get with him though is that when you're trying to break down teams he can effectively become an extra midfielder as he's got very good technical ball ability and can pass well. And then obviously his reputation for last minute headers from corners.

Would loved to have had him in our team personally. I always remember that game against Barca where they lost 5-0 and he got sent off for a tackle against Messi, and then fought with Pique, Puyol and Xavi. A lot of people though he was crazy, but I thought it showed he gave a shit and wasn't willing to take a drubbing meekly. Those sort of passionate players elevate teams.
