Been his worst game in some time. Really looks shaky today.
I think so too. Right now he's a good defender with the potential to be a great one but a lot of people on here seems to rate him as a world class defender which he's not yet. I think right now Jones is our best defender but Bailly certainly has the potential to be a better one.Has a reputation on here that's better than he actually is.
DefinitelyHas a reputation on here that's better than he actually is.
He is a liability. He's been doing it since the moment he got here. He gets himself into trouble then has to throw himself into crazy challenges to save his ass then get somehow gets credit for trying to sort out the problem he created in the first place. The feck was he doing there in the end? Not clearing the ball inside the box and taking 5 calamitous touches before conceding a corner.
AlwaysHe's sometimes either too eager or too relaxed.
Not always. He's not either of those when he has a good game and that happens quite often imo.Always
He only has good games when we are battering minnows. Hes never good when we are under pressure. Not always. He's not either of those when he has a good game and that happens quite often imo.
Yeah, not true at all.He only has good games when we are battering minnows. Hes never good when we are under pressure.
Ramos' defending is still suspect very often, Pepe was the superior defender by far, Ramos maybe all-round the superior player. He reminds me a lot of a young Ramos, good on the ball and very aggressive, but defensively suspect at times. Ramos has ironed out his defending a lot more as he's gotten older so hopefully Bially can do the same. I'll admit I'm not the biggest of him yet as I prefer defenders to be strong defensively first and he's had a couple of moments like today, but I do like him because he's not afraid to play the ball out which severely limits players like Smalling who otherwise are very sound players. Hoping Bailly improves with experience as he's still pretty young for a defender.
Pepe is indeed the superior defender (one of the best I've seen personally) and Real do concede a fair few, but I think Ramos' defending is a bit underrated these days. Often they're playing very attacking and Ramos is sat on the half way line, so he has to defend from there and I feel he does it very well. When they're camped inside their own half like they were when they played the Barcelona of a couple years back, he's not Vidic or Pepe level but he's still pretty good. What you get with him though is that when you're trying to break down teams he can effectively become an extra midfielder as he's got very good technical ball ability and can pass well. And then obviously his reputation for last minute headers from corners.Ramos' defending is still suspect very often, Pepe was the superior defender by far, Ramos maybe all-round the superior player.
Real concede quite a lot of chances, it is strange.
