Not necessarily Rawk related but can someone tell me what is up with their new catchphrase, "Allez, Allez, Allez"

They don't have any French players as far as I remember so why?
allez allez allez is a 1980s Italian pop tune that’s been turned in to a football chant. It symbolizes their CL journey apparently. In 2005 it was ring of fire. This was their adopted chant after they beat Porto away in the last 16 this season. There’s been various pisstake changes in lyrics. Gary Neville’s tweet Being one of them

Surely it's further than that to Madrid?

Not RAWK but I like how Collymore thinks £150M can get those three players. It wouldn't be enough for two of them.
They sold coutinho for that alone, ericksen is better than that, delle ali has english tax on his head and will cost 100 million.

It's true but De Gea is a freak. There are so few world class bracket goalkeepers. He's basically their star man... their Salah if you will. Most teams have one, and in any stable, well-constructed team it's rarely the goalkeeper. He's been their player of the season for a bunch of seasons in a row and has single-handedly held their sixth-calibre team in second this season. It's unreasonable to think we can find some freakish De Gea level goalkeeper. I don't know anything about Allison (or whoever else might be available) but I doubt he's that good
That is true though. De Gea is our one world class player and our most exciting player. Think of the all the times a United player made you think "Wow!" last season and almost all of them will be a De Gea save.

It's absurd and a little depressing.

I am almost sure the very highest level players all learn some martial arts to improve their balance. In brazil, every kid learns capoeira in school. My 6 year old started this year. And balance underpins every single thing you do on the pitch. Anything you try to do while off balance has a huge fail rate. Therefore having as close to perfect balance will often be the difference between world class and someone who is only look great in perfect conditions - like those who make skillz videos on youtube. Balance is what makes Ronaldinho, Messi, Maradona etc what they are.

If I was a coach, I would certainly have the grappling taught to my players to help with balance but also because unless you are taught this, you don't know how to escape it. It would also maybe give you some advantages on set pieces when a lot of it goes on. If you know how to shake off someone holding you quickly, it would be a huge advantage.

One constant in all grappling is controlling peoples fall to maintain an advantageous position. When I watched what Ramos did, that's exactly what it looked like. I've watched thousands of games of football and played even more hours myself and never seen anything like that before on a pitch. I have when watching Martial arts though and joint lock takedowns are common place. A technique learned in one sport doesn't accidentally end up in another.

True story. Bill Shankly used to visit the Vernon Sangster sports centre in Stanley Park and watch the Goju-Ryu Karate. It was just before I started training, but my Dad had been training there a few years and told me about it. This was confirmed to me about 10 years ago when I ended up working with one of the sampai who used to teach me. Bill used to sit there and study what was going on, watch the movements etc and even give the Sensei tips on how to improve the training.

Glad that their cringey, stolen 'Allez' song which they think makes them oh so cultured and continental has come back to bite them with the pisstake lyrics.

Those c*nts making death threats to Karius can feck right off.

I know there are posts which say over and over this is the worst thing ever, but this really does rank high.

For me, these are worst outcomes of the last few months --- not the score

1. Assault on Sean Cox
2. Lorus Karius death threats
3. Failure to see, challenge or address Ramos' behaviors
Lolwut? No.3 on that list is so far removed from the gravity of the former two that it's obscene. Classic Scouse overreaction to imaginary injustices.

That Babu Yagu lad who use to write those colossal texts and claim to be Brazilian. He uses all the stereotypes about Brazil. Talk about Brazilian players learning samba since kids in order to play the style(wtf). Now hes claiming that every child learn Capoeira in the school..we barely can pay the regular teachers let alone to teaching martial arts to everybody.

They might have better chance if it's our Romero who played as their GK.

We will not apologize for having a WC player in any position on the pitch. For all the bleating they do about De Gea saving us let's see how they get on with Salah next season because if he is contained they are done. I predict he will get less then 27 goals in all competitions next season.

youse 2 are complete whoppers however
Ramos Ramos He's a C**t
Judo tackles and elbow brunt
Worst kind of douche
Spanish proven uncouth
Massengill him out of World Cup as a halftime stunt
Just add 158 stanzas of "c*nt c*nt c*nt c*nt c*nt" and it'll surpass Greece's national anthem as the longest in the world, and by far the most poetic.
