So the unavailability doesn't come from injuries? If so what's the cause? Laziness?
Completely agree but need someone nowIts better for all parties if we just let him leave in the summer, even if on a free. I believe the only reason he is still here is because we literally have no one else in the striker position. People are still clinging on to some hope with Martial. Truth is even when he is playing he looks like he lost his pace and hasn't completed 90min in ages.
We just can't rely on someone with this kind of injury record as our main striker that if we aspire to win any titles.
True, but we are skint and only recently got Weghorst on loan so I don't think we will be getting anyone else in this window. That's why I said we should let him leave in the summer. Until then we have no choice but to keep him.Completely agree but need someone now
Why on a free? We can still get something for him, like we didn't get when we got the chance on Pogba and Lingard. Its better for all parties if we just let him leave in the summer, even if on a free. Keep saying it but why we don't try and negotiate loan deal for Thuram before Chelsea take himTrue, but we are skint and only recently got Weghorst on loan so I don't think we will be getting anyone else in this window. Might have gotten Depay as well if he only went for 2.5m euros but looks like there are some shenanigans in that transfer with Barca having some kind of option on one of the Atletico players?
What’s the point of Thuram? He isn’t a striker. He isn’t an amazing winger either. He’s neither here nor there. Why Thuram?Keep saying it but why we don't try and negotiate loan deal for Thuram before Chelsea take him
I don't see anyone offering us any money for him with the kind of wages he is on and with his injury record. We already saw that last season when the best we could manage was a loan to Sevilla where they didn't cover his full wages. Why on a free? We can still get something for him, like we didn't get when we got the chance on Pogba and Lingard.
We should learn how to be on the hairy side of the penis, not just on the shiny side in this type of situations.
Since he played a half against city before coming off injured again, maybe he was rushed back?So the unavailability doesn't come from injuries? If so what's the cause? Laziness?
He recently accused Ole that he played him injured, now ETH doing the same? Can't always be the manger's fault.Since he played a half against city before coming off injured again, maybe he was rushed back?
What position is he thenWhat’s the point of Thuram? He isn’t a striker. He isn’t an amazing winger either. He’s neither here nor there. Why Thuram?
He’s a forward who plays in all 3 positions but plays predominantly on the left. No. 9 isn’t his natural position and we have no use of him on the left because he isn’t better than Rashford. What position is he then
Ten Hag said that Martial begged to play against City, so it is Martial's fault, under normal circumstances I'm sure he'd not have been risked. He recently accused Ole that he played him injured, now ETH doing the same? Can't always be the manger's fault.
The manager also said Martial begged to start vs City despite being unfit. Complete opposite of the lazy, not wanting to play through a knock narrative that is taking hold here despite those comments.Since he played a half against city before coming off injured again, maybe he was rushed back?
Oh feck offI wonder if Martial even bothers to watch United on the telly.
This has not gotten the attention it deservesWe should learn how to be on the hairy side of the penis, not just on the shiny side in this type of situations.
He is a badmash. What position is he then
Thats an odd one. Sounds like Martial’s absence isn’t always due to injury? If true then ETH will bin him in the summer. Unless there’s something gone amiss in communicating his thoughts.
His issue with Ole wasn’t the playing injured part, if you bothers to read that interview, his issue was Ole asked him to play injured and kept mum about it in front of the press, so when he couldn’t perform due to, you know, being injured, the whole press pack and the fans were on his back with the tired old trope of ‘lazy, sulking, can’t handle competition’. As for EtH, the bald one has been very frank regarding his fitness status, including the fact that he begged to start against City, so I can’t hardly imagine there would be an issue. He recently accused Ole that he played him injured, now ETH doing the same? Can't always be the manger's fault.
Yeah I wish we could find loan one before TuesdayWe need to find a similar attacker that's not injury prone.
I like Martial but I want him gone by the summer.
Very confusing answer, can't actually tell what is going on.
Hoping there's something to Jones story about us going for another forward because situation looks confusing. There must be a loan striker who can offer similar attributes minus laziness.Very confusing answer, can't actually tell what is going on.
Aye, and Rashford is at the opposite end of the scale, he can play through injuries to the detriment of his career. This is quite telling I think and says a lot about the current mindset of Martial.
Some players will play through soreness whilst others will mentally want to be 100% before every single game before they get on the pitch.
I’m sure I recall a piece on Saha, not sure if it was from Sir Alex or Rooney. It may have been Sir Alex comparing his mindset to Rooney with the difference being as a professional footballer playing football several times a week and training in between you’re never going to be 100% and you have to get that in your head and accept it. Rooney knew this and managed it.
Feels as though Martial is one of those players sadly that is let down by his mindset.
His career is going better than Martials though isn’t it?Aye, and Rashford is at the opposite end of the scale, he can play through injuries to the detriment of his career.
He made that point post match when he was asked about Rashford playing on with his knock. It was obvious he was alluding to Martials situation at the time.Aye, and Rashford is at the opposite end of the scale, he can play through injuries to the detriment of his career.
